What now has over 1990 is that there are an infinite amount of sports talk media outlets to relive the victory with, stretching out the opportunities to bask in the glory. Josh has already been getting the Brady calls the last two years. See v the Rams in 2020 and at home v the Dolphins 2021. I don’t see the Browns getting any calls for the foreseeable future.
Lynch will still make the Hall but if drafted into a better situation would have been known as an all time great. He had it all, including the softest hands which were underutilized throughout his career.
Kickers do NOT want to play for good teams. They want to make $2M-$4M a year in complete obscurity without anyone noticing for as long as possible and they never want to be the cause of a loss anyone cares about. They especially like indoor stadiums where they can rack up stats.
Falcons, Jets, and maybe Miami, wk3+, Giants wk2+ as well. That’s the only explanation, that he likes the backup job. Billy Volek is the only other QB I can recall who favored being a backup over starter opportunities.
Howard’s legs are shot. He can’t plant and cut, and he’s rounding off all his routes. There is no sudden-ness. He’s trying but his legs just don’t work anymore.
