I agree fewer teams making playoffs is better, for preserving the value of the regular season. Kudos to Bettman for refusing the money grab in the NHL I guarantee that the NHL will move to the cringe-worthy “play in” NBA money grab format the second Bettman is gone. The only problem with 6 NFL playoff teams is that the 3rd wild card is almost always a significantly better team than the fourth division winner. They would have to go back to three divisions to make it all make sense, or award playoffs to only the top 3 division winners.
