  1. I’m glad they didn’t vote Jordan and Micah in as one person, “Number 50, Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde”. They like to do that in these ranking shows sometimes.
  2. I would go wk 2 when the Bills are playing in Buffalo.
  3. I think Reich is a great coach and was working miracles with Wentz last year until the end. But Matt Ryan looked shockingly weak and old on Saturday and Foles is not any better. I could see a 7-10 year for the Colts event though they are stacked in many positions.
  4. There are always players like this where you fear they will be plucked from the practice squad by another team. But every team has a whole set of players they are trying to keep, so players like this do tend to safely stay on your practice squad.
  5. What I loved about Warner’s game is that he always attacked the deep field first. I didn’t think I’d see a quarterback with that much disdain for the underneath easy passes until 17 rolled into town.
  6. He looks done to me. What a talent coming out of college. It’s not his fault. Injuries can take away your ability to play. There are too many good players on the bubble to protect. Bills will not hesitate to cut him and eat the dead cap.
  7. Wow Von only 93. Unranked last year. Did not know that.
  8. Deion Sanders complains the Hall has become a watered-down free-for-all and thinks there should be a special room for him and a very few select others. https://www.si.com/nfl/falcons/news/atlanta-deion-sanders-football-hall-of-fame-braves-dallas-cowboys-jackson-state I tend to agree. I watched him closely when he played. He couldn’t really tackle but it was impossible to separate from him. The original lock-down corner. Add to that his return game and there are very few in his category. That’s not even counting the Primetime aspect. Last career pick six against the Bills in his mid 30s.
  9. Can keep all the rookies if they train them to take over the special teams specialist roles on the roster.
  10. Meniscus tears are no joke. The “fix” is to go in and remove part of the meniscus. That means you have less of a meniscus and are one step closer to being bone on bone. If the meniscus removal does not go well there is constant pain. The modern approach is to try to heal the torn part of the meniscus rather than remove it. But this would mean Zach is out for the season which the Jets are not going to deal with.
  11. Unloaded all the talent on the roster for future assets and somehow made the playoffs.
  12. Daboll passed on the poor man’s Josh three straight rounds. Amazing.
  13. Last year he really started to get “the Brady calls”, for example, at home against the Dolphins and many others. The extra off-the-field work has a tangible benefit.
  14. Hopefully this will be a bad distant memory in a few years when Brown is entrenched as the starter. Similar to the Mitch Morse concussion scare when he first arrived in Buffalo.
  15. If I were an opposing GM I would be raiding our stash of cornerback practice squad players year after year.
  16. The conference has not been this loaded since the merger. The AFC champion this year could easily be a battle tested 10-7.
  17. This is like 2009. Offense could do not nothing in preseason, traded Hall of Fame left tackle, fired the OC. Then, somehow, when the season started we played great and almost beat the Pats week 1. The point is, it’s going to be okay.
  18. For their last, Belichick basically hung Brady out to dry, loading up on D, leaving Brady to make the offense work all by himself, as he had done for many years. Finally Brady got sick of not being given substantial weapons.
