Hot Take: Does Bobby Babich Lose His Job?
Charles Romes replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
3.5 stops v ravens (3 Turnovers), 2.5 v chiefs (no credit for the mahomes giveaway). 1 forced punt in drives where the O did not reach FG range over 2 games. Pretty much the same as what Frazier and McD were rolling out there against the elite teams in the playoffs…So keep him! -
Lost in the sauce: Outstanding Performances vs KC
Charles Romes replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am not sure we’ve ever had a FA that’s exceeded expectations more than Hollins. -
In spite of everything and our D being underwhelming as a whole he was our top PFF defender in the post season. At 36 he will be commanding a dolphins Campbell trending contract toward a few million per year. Seems the Bills could save some some dead cap, and simultaneously pay Miller way more than he’d get on the open market by restructuring to something in the 4-7 range.

Phillips almost won us a championship with that play. -
good comments from Bills players in this new Athletic piece

Why can’t we ever show a trend over the course of a whole year and whole game. And then break that trend at the critical time. You do not have to be a genius to do that. It’s common sense. Also why do we never have a counter to a counter like a counter to the chiefs sneak stuffing plan. It’s only the chiefs who are smart enough to have counters to counters. I am so sick of making them look like geniuses for exercising common sense. -
that’s a common perception on this board. If you jump to other teams’ boards and podcasters he’s often viewed as a real problem.

Number 5 of 223 graded corners by PFF. What would the chiefs be saying if they lost mcDuffy.

Legitimate Concern With Officiating This Weekend?
Charles Romes replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s in the league’s interest for the Bills to win the Super Bowl. Not only is Allen money, if the Bills are world champions their following and value become gold-plated, eliminating any possible threat associated to moving a team into the fourth-largest market in North America. -
Dalton Kincaid- why so underwhelming this season?
Charles Romes replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Is frustrating because we all saw the first rounder elite body control and hands in 2023 that made him the crunch time target his rookie year. Something is off. That big catch v Denver should have been a real catch and if he makes that drive sustaining third quarter catch v the ravens it’s potentially a comfortable W. -
Meanwhile, over at Chiefs Planet....Keeping it classy
Charles Romes replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall
yup, and part of the secret plan in the regular season when they were holding everything back was to purposely allow Mahomes to be the most hit QB in the league. -
Based on the success of his limited targets, cooper has forced defenses to cover the boundaries. That’s a primary function of a 1.

Might be a blessing in disguise to get Bishop’s 4.4 speed out there. -

That sounds good on paper, and yes, all their bloggers desperately want Humphries at LT - as bad as Humphries has been - so their run game is not impacted in addition to having substandard LT play. But Mahomes, who is ultimately calling the shots on this issue, is said to be much more comfortable with Thuney manning the blindside. -

Thuney has now had a few games at left tackle and has done better than others for the chiefs out there, but at the expense of the run game. More importantly, there is now plenty of tape of what Thuney struggles with at left tackle. Long arm Rousseau and Von should be making plays on short arm Thuney. -

The chiefs board sees Oliver as the guy on the Bills D to gameplan around. -
9 blue chip players to win a SuperBowl

I think this Bills team’s analytics department has cracked the code and has found a new way to win. Our top 3 receiving targets are bottom 12 in the league but our top 10 targets are number 1, and that’s how we stress defenses. -
That one foot in the UK is not a good look, and it has to be exhausting on the organization. One of the best things Terry did when he bought the team was to immediately end that dumb Toronto series.
-
Von is not going to be blowing away any all pro tackle these days but he’s still plenty good enough to expose what the chiefs have going on the left side of their line.

Chiefs have not had much time to throw deep with their pass protection issues.
