I’d be more enraged if the exact same thing did not happen on a Diggs catch the prior possession.

“Bills v. Bengals” might have had some special relevancy in 2022 but the league moves very fast.

I’m looking at the play by plays and we did not even force a single fourth down before field goal range against the pats, broncos, or eagles (either drive). Only a few third downs were even forced and those were pretty much in field goal range. No different than an up-by-20 prevent defense.

I allowed myself to consider the possibility - for a few fleeting seconds - that there was a 10-15 percent chance that the 59 yarder in the rain could be missed.

It’s Leslie Frazier’s fault

It could have been harder had we made the tackle in bounds rather than stripped the receiver of the reception on the previous play. A running clock for that kick would have amped up the pressure. - I fully understand that the defender isn't thinking about this in the moment.
mcDermott would have called timeout to set the kick block defense-

I was so waiting for the flag on Bernard’s pick

I like it in the sense that Brady is taking command and giving the O a definite plan. He wanted Ty in there last week and we saw why. Tomorrow we will see why Isabella got the nod.

What’s interesting is that Hines unavailability has opened a roster slot for larger backs like Ty and Fournette, which I think the organization is starting to like more. Harty has not been dynamic but has been extremely sure handed with the return duties. That is nothing to take for granted. Entire seasons can be derailed with a few muffed returns and the fallout of trying to find replacements just to securely field kicks.

I am not sure we’ve seen a total lockdown of a bonafide 1 on the level of Douglas dominating Garrett since tres first team all pro season of 2019.

Pump the brakes. Dorsey looked like the league’s number one HC candidate after the Rams game last year

Getting a reasonable replacement for Daquan in there has helped. The drop off was significant between the Dolphins and Bengals game, hopefully not enough to keep a dangerous team out of the playoffs.

The six teams in front of them have all the tire breakers v the bills and only have to go 4-3 or better to get to 10 wins. 10-7 very easily could not be enough.

Credit to Brady for asserting him as the trusted 1 tonight

I think we will see teams continue to pound fragile Burrow, Chase, and Higgins for years to come. Window closed.

The week before this game was Reich’s first start v the Rams on Monday night. Reich did nothing for three and a half quarters v the Rams and Bills fans expected that a new backup would have to be signed the next day. Then, out of nowhere, Reich suddenly when crazy late in the fourth v and won the game with two long drives. The Rams game a few days before this Jets game was one of the most shocking wins in team history.

Somewhere on an alternate timeline, Patrick Mahomes is tossing TDs to Justin Jefferson in Buffalo.
Yup, both # 1 and 2 of the NFL’s top 100 players were Bills draft picks

If we win out...what is impact on coaching decisions?

If we actually did win out (lol) it would mean the D has actually not collapsed in the 4th like it always does. If that actually happened McD would claim he has fixed the D collapsing late issue and retain the DC role.
