Bass is what, 19/22 on the year with a 61 game winner into the wind that would have been good from 70. If he were declining due to diminishing leg strength like an old Hauschka or Tucker it would be one thing, but his short misses could be a matter of reining in the power, which is fixable. Next year, they could move the kickoff back and guys that can blast it out of the end zone may not be a dime a dozen. I fear if we let him out of the building we will be facing another Gary Anderson or Dustin Hopkins for years to come.

The best part is VanDemark was developed from scratch in the Kromer lab without expenditure of any draft capital. When VanDemark was being developed, KC squandered a 2 and 3 trying to address the tackle position, and both high draft picks look like total busts.

Week 11, Chefs v. Bills, GAME BALLS!
Charles Romes replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Would be good to an analysis on how Spencer being out impacted our run game. Man their run D is tough, best I’ve seen in years. -
Von Miller proves the doubters wrong
Charles Romes replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
He gave up on a rush v mahomes the final drive for some reason. He could have disrupted the throw, just stopped maybe to go overboard avoiding a flag. -

Jets need to somehow some way get to 8 wins, the minimal number where they may run it all back. -
Week 11 - Chiefs at Bills Game Week Thread

Davidson and Gouraige elevated. Looks like VanDemark is playing. No receiver elevations. -
If Bass misses the 61 yarder, they may have signed Bass instead of the Jets guy. I’m not sure this injury is easily recovered from. The plant leg absorbs huge forces especially with a kicker as powerful as Butker.

Cooper says he plans to play Sunday with a cast!
Charles Romes replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
It may be a blessing in disguise to have all these receiving targets down for this game. I don’t think the Bills would have the restraint otherwise to hold anything back before the second meeting in January. Now they are forced to. -

Taron Johnson AFC Defensive Player of the Week!
Charles Romes replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
I remember thinking how great a play spikes made when the play happened. 18 years later it’s clear that spikes did nothing and the Pats just flat out blew an assignment. Hope was quite resilient in the drought years. -

Charles Romes replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
He needs to be out there Sunday just so the chiefs roll the coverage to him, even if he can’t actually catch. -

Kincaid update? (now declared OUT for Sunday)

Everyone’s passing game stats are declining because we can actually run now. -
This is the second game (Jets) where we let up 1 really long gain on the ground but pretty much shut the door on the run otherwise, forcing stops when they try to run. Maybe they are sand bagging their YPR defense stats to goad the opposition into a game plan featuring the run.

I thought the refs did a decent job of staying out of the way for the most part

Targets for Virgil, Shavers and Hamler
Charles Romes replied to MarlinTheMagician's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have not been this excited about a journeyman getting targets since the Duke in 2019 -
Can someone explain the dead cap impact of Dallas trading away Dak. I think there would be a number of takers who would trade at least one first to assume the 60m contract to have a top 15 QB. I don’t understand what the cap implications to Dallas would be.

Deion Jones still out there

actually it could become quite critical to edge out the Ravens for the 2 seed

Bills signing Quinton Jefferson; Update..AND Jordan Phillips
Charles Romes replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was excited about Jefferson’s great 2023 until I found the following from ESPN: Jefferson recorded a career-high six sacks and had 34 tackles before his season ended prematurely in December, when he suffered tears to both sides of his groin, each tear requiring surgery. At the end of the season, he expressed optimism about his chances of returning for OTAs in the spring. EDITOR'S PICKS Grading NFL free agency's biggest deals: Making sense of 70-plus signings and trades 224dESPN NFL experts Jefferson played only 469 defensive snaps, his lowest total since 2017 with Seattle, but that can be attributed to the Jets' deep defensive line. Typically, they rotated eight or nine players on game day. There was one alarming trend with Jefferson: Despite his sack production, the Jets allowed a 108.4 passer rating when he was on the field, compared to a 55.6 mark when he wasn't in the game, according to Next Gen Stats. That's by far the biggest discrepancy among the team's defensive linemen. -
Logue is 97 and Phillips is 93 in todays photos

They literally just posted photos of him practicing today.
