Hogans horrendous fold under pressure yesterday really changed my opinion about TJ.
-
Sadly, I LOLed when I read the title of this post.

The whole regime knew they had to swing for the fences to have any shot at staying. Should have traded a 1 and a 2 for Romo. Could have been done.

Is the 8 year veteran Easley going to see action at wideout?
-
Cut Hogan please. This is what you get from hogan with everything on the line.

A lot of the hate emerges from what Pettine was able to accomplish by comparison.
Pettine was able to recognize the strength of his players and play to those strengths. several under his leadership - mcKelvin, a Williams, Dareus, turned their careers around.
Hacket is not able to identify or play to the strengths of his players. Consequently, capable players run the risk of being run out of the league under Hacket.

Watching the old tapes one of the great things about Jimbo is that his QB play really softened up the running lanes. You had to respect his ability to strike you dead in the 10+ yard range. Manuel's QB play as it stands actually clogs up the running lanes.

My goal this year is somehow get to 5-7 and stay mathematically alive in December.

I can't believe how good jim kelly was in retrospect.

#12 all time in yards per punt return. Not too shabby.

Put NEW YORK on the helmets. That will get more attention than another blackout uni.

Dude, last time a team had 2 legit no 1s was carter, moss. Maybe Harrison Wayne circa 05

Precisely. I know our standards have been lowered but what you do with the ball AFTER the catch is important. He supposedly has sub 4.5 speed but he hasn't shown an ability to do anything after the catch. Robert Woods might not be durable enough for the slot, but he can take a short pass and do some damage with it. IMO they started Mike Williams opposite Watkins because they want the largest catching radius possible to hopefully bring down EJ's wing-and-prayer passes and build up his confidence..... so maybe Hogan is getting play because he is a bigger target as well. EJ did nearly get Woods killed a few times last year as well, maybe they just figure EJ will finish Woods off if they put him in the slot.
Exactly. While we all like the hogan story, I see a guy who will catch the ball (maybe every time) a yard from the first down and get tackled every time a yard from the first down.

Johnson said very well in that game. What is he doing now?
He just took another sack.

Personally, I think the #1 reason for their current playoff drought has everything to do with finishing games strong. They've been right there competitively in a LOT of games that they simply don't seem to have the will to close them out. Yesterday, albeit only the first preseason action of the year, was a perfect example. The defensive starters did exactly what I would have wanted them to do. The first series was 3 plays and out. The second was a forced fumble giving the Bills the ball on the Giants 22 yard line. Then the offense gives us a lot of the same of what we've gotten in the past. 5 sputtering plays and a field goal. They will NOT be playoff contenders until they learn to take advantage of opportunities like these.
Agreed. At least last year they had two players with the capacity to step up and make a play to win the game. One of these players was lost to free agency. The other was lost to a season ending injury.

I don't think you hate Tuel per se. You hate our QB situation in which a QB of the ilk of Tuel must be considered as a potential starter.
-
Does that count the 3rd one where the defender in a vanilla preseason scheme did nothing on the play except drop back away from the online and react to EJs throw?
-
Once he settled in he did a good job. He actually showed a lot of improvement within the game. He's gonna be fine.
I hope so and recall Levitre literally got reverse pancaked his first preseason play.

With the level of investment in the intelligence, it baffles me how Cyrus could be slotted a 2 and Seantrel a 7.

A flat out Wiff on an early second rounder.

Shawne Merriman, 2 sacks and a hurry in 3 plays v. The Bears. Made it to the cover of the Bills site that night. Never to be heard from again.

The whole D should sit 'til week 1. I've seen enough. Stay healthy!!!!

Great. Now I have to wait another 15 minutes for the bartender to find it on satellite.
