  1. Thanks for spelling that out for me. It is early in the morning and I am ramping up slowly.
  2. Marrone's best year at Syracuse may have been hist first when he won only four games. He somehow managed to field teams competitive against top 20 D1 programs with miniscule rosters after telling nearly half the scholarship players to get lost. http://dailyorange.com/2012/12/marrones-punishments-of-spruill-rene-hypocritical-to-no-nonsense-approach/ He makes Caughlin look like Jauron as a disciplinarian and he is not afraid to do it his own way. Its not a certainty he will succeed in Buffalo where seemingly no one can but there is a potential for a huge upside with this hire that the fans should be optimistic about.
  3. Based on the relative dimensions of this woman to Andy's jersey, Andy is really at least 11'6" 675lbs notwithstanding his listed 6'2'' 305. We definitely need to re-sign him.
  4. The only way to answer this question as a Bills fan is to rephrase the question as: which team's SB victory would help the Bills the the most. A Cincinnati win (who have secretly won like 7 of 8 games downs the stretch) would help the Bills the most. This would help the Bills in many ways. It would boost the team and front office morale that even the most dis-functional small market franchise with a meddling owner can win. It might help with future recruiting of coaches in that regard. Marvin Lewis was given maybe the most second chances in league history. All owners would be retaining their head coaches and staff more through losing seasons, giving the Bills the pick of the best "out of football" or college coaches the next time the Bills are in the head coach market in 2015. A Patriots win would also help the Bills. I know they won back to back Super Bowls a decade ago. But you have to figure that if they do pull it off at Brady's and even Belichick's advanced age a big hangover effect would set in that might last through to the end of Brady's career. It would finally put an end to their annoying and relentless no-holds-barred chasing of the title which has put the divisional out of reach for the Bills for years. Belichick would be cruising around on his re-named boat wearing an irrepressible s-eating grin until mid July without addressing the significant holes on his team being masked by Brady while marginal free agent types on the roster threaten to hold out. .
  5. Hate to rain on everyone's parade about CJ, but the cold hard fact is he utterly blew a historic season in terms of YPA yesterday. He went into the game averaging 6.48 YPA which would have placed him first all time since like 1940 and came limping home at an also ran 6.01 (not even the team record). He lost a half a yard in YPA in one game!!! Adding insult to injury is the fact that he could not even hold onto the YPA rushing title which he had a commanding lead on all year. AP finished at 6.02 to CJ's 6.01. We are so used to seeing our players fold in crunch time no one in this thread even realizes CJ's tragic and epic collapse yesterday.
  6. The one interesting thing about the game to me is whether Stevie gets his 1000. He is 65 yards away which is not a lot but not a little either. Regardless of what anyone says in public, the number is hugely important to Stevie and its important to Fitz as well. Its also important to Gailey who as a failed head coach will want to preserve his reputation as a receiver maker. Look for Fitz forcing it to Stevie early and often so the number does not become a distraction late in the game. Also look for Comartie to be sitting there the entire first half expecting Fitz to force it so that Stevie gets the 1000.
  7. I would like them to go back to the night train lane days where the db was allowed to tackle the receiver with the qb backing up to throw. Since that's not going happen there should be a two tier level of severity system in place for pass interference penalties, as in running into the kicker and roughing the kicker.
  8. A Rodgers is at the very top based on his age and the fact has has the only true rocket arm on the list of 6 with Ben. Rodgers only negative is his height. Only 6-2. Rivers used to be in the top6 but dropped our.
  9. That's why these games are important. We need to close on an upswing to sign byrd and Levitre
  10. I think the game needs MORE kicking not less kicking. What about about awarding 1 or 2 points for a field goal that can be punted in from anywhere during a running of a play from scrimmage. Would bring excitement back into the two minute drill and you would need a whole bunch of kicking skilled players on your roster to exploit the rule. Most important it would help sell the game internationally to soccer and rugby fans. The kicking aspect of the game is utterly arbitrary as it is and this would actually help harmonize the kicking and non-kicking elements.
  11. Wow! A disappointing underachieving tiny market team about to register its 13th straight non-playoff year sells out against one of the worst teams over the past years. This is the kind of thing that will make the owners think twice before authorizing any move of the franchise.
  12. Hairston may get beat by top speed rushers on occasion but often holds his own and is Ogdenesque compared to some players seeing action at tackle in this league. Have you seen the cards or eagles play? Cornell green a few years ago. There is a whole baseline level of tackles he is way better than.
  13. In 07 we beat the ravens a playoff fixture over the last decade and we also took down the redskins on the road, a team that would surge to the playoffs winning their last four. In 08 we destroyed Seattle who were coming off of a string of playoff appearances then racked up wins over over Jacksonville and San Diego who were also coming off of playoff appearances. We then beat Denver on the road who were fighting for the playoffs. In 09 we racked up huge wins in the road in back to back weeks against the jets who would go on to play in the conference championship and Carolina who went 12-4 the year before. Later that year of course we destroyed a colts team that would go 14-2 and was a play away from winning the Super Bowl. The signature win in the '10 season came late in the year when the dolphins came into our stadium with big playoff hopes and left with their dreams shattered. The franchise posted a number of great wins in 11 in addition to the new England game including over co-division champs Oakland and Denver. Just thus year we went on the road against a 4-1 Arizona team coming off a road win at the pats and came away with the W.
  14. Did anyone else think we should have blocked that last punt. Our guy stopped. Didn't want to get his hands hurt.
  15. Trade for cutis painter. Pretty much a dead giveaway you are throwing the game but no one stopped the colts.
  16. If playing with the playoff calculator can get Johnny gold's hopes up can you imagine what a 3 point ugly home win on Sunday against one of the league's worst teams would do?
  17. Um maybe its because they hired someone out of football for 10 years in his 80s with no fo experience as the gm.
  18. If a guy with a rocket arm leadership ability and wheels and great field awareness and size is there after round 1 I'll be happy. San fran found one that the whole league missed.
  19. The sports media is in on this as well. They know sullying the league is to destroy their business model. Didn't a ref in the nba get caught fixing games a few years ago. Are you kidding me. How do you recover from that? You just stop talking about it.
  20. Certainly in best long te interest to play Tavares. But chan will selfishly be trying anything to get to 7 wins which is the job saving Mendoza line. In his estimation plying fitz is less risky.
  21. Bruce could still play. Dominated in his last game as a bill. It was not the benching of an ineffective Flutie per se that was wrong. It was the fact the owner mandated it.
  22. Fitz, Campbell, Smith, Orton all pretty much the same. Upper echelon mid career backup material with lots of starts. (though Campbell looked utterly horrible last week).
  23. If I were Arians I would put this game in Fitzs hands. Sorry I'd just run the clock out from my own end zone.
