What’s it gonna take to improve /prioritize our run defense?
Charles Romes replied to Jistafan's topic in The Stadium Wall
The current run D scheme regularly gets gashed for 10-25 years runs, but also regularly produces stops of -2 or more yards, ending many drives. -

If the Ravens were desperate enough to assume a gimpy Tre whites 8 figure salary, this guy is certainly not going to make it past waivers. -
Love the timing of the announcement and the way he put added pressure on Kelce late in the season.
-
we beat him last year when he was with the giants because he’s so programmed to play it safe that he instinctively threw way high to Waller the last play of the game.

It’s a testament to what a player Tre was that smart coaches still put him out there -

No one has the cash to claim and assume his salary, correct? So he clears and signs with Vikings maybe? Best chance to take over as the starter. -

To be fair, no one but Brady has had a fully Kromer-developed line to lean into. -

Texans D doesn’t seem to be great against everyone but they certainly were against us and the Lions. They have unusual speed.

What’s the deal with Grable’s injury. Is it a real injury or a red-shirting. -
He’s the guy who played half a game on a broken leg at the sauna game in Miami. Then had a brutal injury in preseason the next year. I think they are doing the right thing keeping him around in view of his Miami game heroics.

Bass is what, 19/22 on the year with a 61 game winner into the wind that would have been good from 70. If he were declining due to diminishing leg strength like an old Hauschka or Tucker it would be one thing, but his short misses could be a matter of reining in the power, which is fixable. Next year, they could move the kickoff back and guys that can blast it out of the end zone may not be a dime a dozen. I fear if we let him out of the building we will be facing another Gary Anderson or Dustin Hopkins for years to come.

The best part is VanDemark was developed from scratch in the Kromer lab without expenditure of any draft capital. When VanDemark was being developed, KC squandered a 2 and 3 trying to address the tackle position, and both high draft picks look like total busts.
