Best ever NFL running back
Charles Romes replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hate to say it the greatest running back I have ever seen play is Marshawn Lynch. Violent North South runner could elude, break tackles, bowl people over. Could make yards all by himself. Hands as soft as silk. A combination of Jim Brown and Marshall Faulk. Could take over a game with his energy. Went on to have a Hall of Fame career in a shortened time frame. If he was drafted by a stable playoff franchise he’d be widely recognized for what he is. The Goat. -
Allen seems to want to lead this team
Charles Romes replied to Seoulful Soul's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When he threw the pick six against the Dolphins but instead of just letting Jones score, running him down and taking a massive kharate chop to get the ball out. That’s when I knew. -
Ryan Fitzpatrick to sign with Miami
Charles Romes replied to 17islongenough's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Glad it wasn’t the packers. It would be sad to watch one of the games greats get Fitzed. No matter where he goes, the starter suffers some misfortune, Fitz gets to play, Fitz plays great and wins over the fans, a QB controversy emerges, Fitz is named the starter, Fitz gets a new contract, and then ultimately starts sucking, leaving the franchise with no viable quarterback. -
McCarron for a Fifth! Well done.
-
He went from out of the league to set for life in a week with a phone call and one great game. Much to smile about.
-
He ran in the 4.7s. Late first.

The whole purpose of this league is to generate more Quarterbacks. Yet I have not see a single Querterback with an NFL arm, making this whole thing a complete waste of time.

Greg Roman promoted to OC in Baltimore
Charles Romes replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm surprised how long it took for Roman to resurface. A run game guru. His departure highlighted how strong of a coach Lynn is. -
Woods was not considered a home run when he was here. Just so so. Played injured his last year in Buffalo.

Team Identity when they move
Charles Romes replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Tennessee Titans were officially the Tennessee Oilers for two years 97-98 before they decided to rename themselves. That makes it the same as the Jets wearing their original NY Titans gear. -

Looking like we will be number 1 in D
Charles Romes replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Looks like the ravens got us by about 20 yards for the season. Don't know if they prorate overtime minutes in calculating the yards per game stat. -

Browns need to gain about 55 yards with 3:24 left but ravens have the ball. -

Love that he ended the drought with that TD -
What's a common thread among recent Allen analyses?
Charles Romes replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Allen has been carrying the receivers, the Oline and Dabol IMO. -
So you want them to bring back Trent Edwards?

Matt Barkley on the sidelines
Charles Romes replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unfortunately his one great game has made him unaffordable. The backup qb market is so scarce he went from out of the league to 5m FMV with one game. -
The big takeaway is that our young QB has figured out how to create tons of time for himself in the pocket by showing run.

I still can't believe Norwood made that "redemption" kick in the AFC championship game in '91 in the cold to seal the win against the Broncos the year after the Super Bowl tragedy. I had it in my head that it was a 54 yarder, but looking it up on line it was only 44 yards. If you see a 44 yarder as a miracle kick your kicker is very shaky. Every Bills fans I knew was thrilled when the team finally addressed the position with the Christie signing. Tampa Bay had tried to sneak Christie through waivers as a strategic roster move which he was aware of and the story I was told is that Christie advised the Bucs that he would only leave if Buffalo called as he is a Hamilton ON native.

Rate the rookie QB after week 13
Charles Romes replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good Topic. While mayfield has played the best, Allen has demonstrated by far the highest ceiling and the negatives seem addressable. If there were a redraft based on all of the evidence of this year Allen would be the first QB off the board. -
Where are you on the spectrum??
Charles Romes replied to Dadonkadonk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His astonishing combination of size, arm strength and running ability give him a significant margin of error
