  1. This is totally inconsistent with their decision to move the kickoff to the 40. Teams will be less likely to kick for the touchback and there will more high speed collisions.
  2. If you can't get a kings ransom just switch with cleveland for a #2 and some change.
  3. This guy needs to stay healthy all year or its time to move on.
  4. For all their success the Broncos outdid the Dumerville fiasco with the way they botched this QB transition. Could they bring in the Amish rifle?
  5. Might have gotten $13-$15M if he beat the bills to go 11-5. Now he might be worth at little as $2M. Leodis has to haunting him in his sleep.
  6. Played with great motivation but could not overcome injury last year. I'm rooting for the guy.
  7. Wonder if his wife will show up to the retirement press conference. Someone could ask why she was on HGH. That's pretty much what came out of the Peyton drug scandal - that the hgh was for his wife not Peyton - until the media conspired to muffle the whole thing.
  8. We had one of the top 2 backs of his era back then. Just didnt know it.
  9. Had a tough year especially with the injury and not much left there, but man, the pick against the Eagles and the one against the jets that saved something from the season may have been the two greatest plays of his lengthy underrated career.
  10. We certainly have a lot of (cough) experience at the back end.
  11. What does he make now? $2M for one more yr. I would extend to $14M 2 yrs, $5M guaranteed. Gives TT assurance against a career ending injury, Bills more time to see if he's the one.
  12. Maybe that's why Beebe is seen as underrated. He was a competent #3. Look at some of the other 3s the franchise has rolled out there. TJ graham, hogan, Bernard ford, josh reed, trumaine johnson, marquise goodwin. You might throw James Hardy into the mix, but he was drafted as a 2 and doesn't count. Jeesh
  13. I loved watching the league's plan for artificially pumped up aerial fireworks blow up in their face right there on the big stage.
  14. If playing in an NFL stadium helped college programs get better I would support sharing. However playing in a cavernous empty stadium rarely helps. The green wave recently moved out of the superdome and into an on campus 30,000 seat venue the same size as UB stadium. UB stadium is only 20 years old and does not need to be replaced. It's perfect for where that program is.
  15. Temple sold out the ND game this year when they were unbeaten late in the year. They played a great game and almost won. Really a remarkable story given where that program has been.
  16. Buddy Nix had that draft exactly right. Cam 1, miller 2, Dareus 3. I disagree with the posters that suggest the bills really missed on drafting miller which they would have had to trade up to do. In the right system with the right people around him marcel is capable of period of sustained destructiveness just like the one miller has been on.
  17. DeMarcus Ware this postseason has re-set the market for aging superstar pass rushers.
  18. I can handle it when sully embarrasses himself. Here he makes the whole city look bad. How can a newspaper of a legitimate city be employing this guy.
  19. Will the announcers still feel obligated to use the phrase "football move" as if it means something.
  20. I loved the pro bowl the way it used to be - AFTER the super bowl like the good lord intended. Helped wean me off of football. With the expansion of free agency and draft coverage since they dumped the old formula, there is a lot more material available the broadcast team could use as filler.
  21. Weakest opposition of all time? I don't recall the Eagles of Super Bowl 15 being any competition for the wild card raiders, a team the bills blew out in the regular season. Their QB folded like a cheap tent under the pressure and served up 3 picks.
  22. Edmonde was the doom and gloom guy that warned us for years that economic realities made it impossible for the bills to remain. Did he ever officially eat crow on the record when the pegulas saved the day.
  23. I'm a little shocked this has gone on for 3 pages with no one coming up with the answer since it really isn't close for second place. The sheep's clothing aside the toughest QB in NFL history is Eli Manning. He has never missed a game due to injury in 11 seasons. He won his team a title with his toughness alone (see '11 NFC championship). You don't see him fighting though injuries since he somehow doesn't sustain them in spite of being willing to hang in the pocket until the last second every snap. You don't even see him playing dinged up. Guy is indestructible.
  24. It has a nice ring to it that Larry put the team on his back and won the game for the cardinals. The Larry of 08 would not have been left wide open without a DB within 15 yards. The Larry of 08 would have easily broken the last tackle. Sometimes we let what we want to believe cloud our judgment.
