  1. Sounds like an add for a perfume. "Somewhere between awful and pedestrian lies...Regression. By Jason Peters."
  2. That dude's writing career is on the brink.
  3. That's why ultimately I see games being split between Buffalo and Toronto. The costs to relocate a team are ginormous (in the $400M range), and even more moving the team out of the country. But with the economy the way it is, no city will entice an NFL with a shiny new stadium.
  4. Think about this for a second. Medicare and Medicaid are uinsustainable. Yet the government wants to, in effect, extend these programs to another 50M people, and that this will somehow work? And the answer is to cut payments to doctors, 40% of whom are not accepting Medicare these days? Again, raising the retirement age to 70 would solve problems related to Medicare and Social Security. Both were created when few people lived beyond 65 years of age. Now most people are, and living healthier. Doing that wouldn't take over 1,000 pages and lead to even bigger problems.
  5. Eating is more vital to living than anything else. So too is shelter. And both are on a day-to-day basis, not ocassional, like health care. If you want to interpret "Rights...Life" as people being entitled to free health care, everyone should get free food and housing. And the DoI conveniently failed to address how slaves fit under "all men are created equal," so it can't be held-up as some paragon for morality. And if ObamaCare gets passed, a lot of people will have their life and death chosen for them. In England, you cannot receive dialysis after age 55, as just one example. How else are you going to control health care costs, especially if you're paying for everyone now?
  6. Jerry Jones has never sold naming rights to the Cowboys' old stadium, and still hasn't sold them for his new stadium.
  7. Yep.
  8. It's one thing if she was a willing participant, a la the sex tapes many "celebs" have made. This is invasion of privacy and just flat-out wrong.
  9. Goodell cut Lynch a break after his parking ticket and/or invoking his 5th amendment right? Wow, what a guy!
  10. Pacman Jones? Tank Johnson? Plaxico Burress? Half the Cincinnati Bengals team?
  11. Naw, they're GREAT uses of taxpayer money, to help pad the pockets of destitute NFL owners. And the price-gouging that follows? It's an added bonus!
  12. Yeah, because Snyder and Jones have had SUCH great success spending tons on GM's, coaches, and players these past 9 years. And the best money the Patriots spent was on a videocamera.
  13. Raising the retirement age to 70 and massively increasing, or eliminating, the "Wage Base" would significantly help Medicare and Social Security. And those don't need massive overhauls to achieve. But no one wants to talk about it. I wonder why?
  14. The Dolphins' secondary is horrible. They better hope their front-7 can get pressure on every down.
  15. You can renegotiate a contract only after a year has passed.
  16. Youboty is signed through this year and an UFA next year (well, depending on what happens, or doesn't, with the CBA). If he has a good and healthy year, he'll likely command a high salary and be gone. If he doesn't stay healthy, the Bills might be able to re-sign him cheap, but he'll have proven to be too injury-prone. So it's a double-edged sword. But I think he's with the Bills this year, unless he can't return from his current injury.
  17. Exactly. Now imagine those programs being extended to 50 million more people, and probably a lot more as companies take the laughable $750 "penalty" per worker for not offering health insurance (versus paying $10K+ per worker), also at your and my expense. In reality, everyone should call their congressperson and tell them that this is unacceptable. Because in the end, we'll only have ourselves to blame.
  18. He did. But Kimmel was trying to talk to him about Dallas, Jessica Simpson, how horrible it is in Buffalo, his reality show, and girlfriends.
  19. Kind of like the "accidental brilliance" of a franchise QB almost dying on the football field and a 2nd-year former 6th round pick backup QB leading the team to SB glory?
  20. Yeah, I don't know what The Big Cat was watching. Here's the link for anyone who missed it: T.O. on J.K.L.
  21. Yeah, that's what some "Bills fans" hope. Although they'll try to worm their way out of it when it doesn't happen, by grumbling "amazingly he behaved himself."
  22. One could make that argument, based on it being illegal. But it was more a commentary (to Joma) on how California is willing to make it legal, because they're bankrupt and need the money.
  23. Except that California will probably legalize marijuana, which includes blunts, soon. Because they're bankrupt (financially and apparently morally).
  24. I doubt TO would "pout and sulk" at getting a 1-year salary of $10M.
