  1. Hargrove had 7 QB hurries in 2007. While not as sexy as sacks, they're still important.
  2. Nothing some good reverses, screen passes, and slants won't cure.
  3. The best WR in the NFL is Calvin Johnson. And while TO isn't the best, I'll take his "paltry" production any day of the week, and twice on Sundays.
  4. The statement having come from John Murphy means more than "coming from some guy on BB.com."
  5. I also never heard of anyone having 7-1/2 foot (2 strides to cover 5 yards) strides.
  6. Well played sir, well played.
  7. Um, where do you think that Murphy got his information? It was either straight from Fewell, or Chris Brown.
  8. Come back when you have a firmer grasp on reality, Mick.
  9. There's a reason I have him on ignore.
  10. The guy on BB.com said he heard it from John Murphy.
  11. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that this is a situation exactly like the Bryant Johnson situation last year. The Bills offer a 3-year relatively cheap contract, while another team offers a 1-year minimum deal. The player chooses the 1-year deal so that he can "showcase" himself and then cash-in the next year. Now it worked for BJ, because he's a WR that can be plugged into any system, and the Lions are well, the Lions. However PT is a cover-2 LB'er, and few teams run it anymore. And if he has anything other than a great season in Chicago (and thus they decide to give him a large contract extension), he limits his options even more next year because the Bears won't re-sign him.
  12. Sorry but just because Peters made the Pro Bowl, it doesn't mean he was above average. And the film shows him responsible, in whole or part, for most of those 11.5 sacks that he was charged for allowing. And Walker hasn't been offered $11.5M because...he's under contract with the Bills and isn't worth $11.5M anyway. I didn't say that Walker would duplicate Peters' season in 2007, just that he'd be no worse than Peters was last year, while the Bills groom Bell for another year.
  13. John Murphy reportedly said this, right? Not some poster with an "inside source," right? Coming from him means something. But the proof will be in the pudding.
  14. Peters was an average LT last year. Maybe a part of that was lack of motivation because of his contract or maybe it was because his injury in 2007 robbed him of some of his ability. I don't know, but I'm glad the Bills didn't spend $11.5M/year to find out thre hard way. If anything, Walker may prove to be a slight downgrade, but it's hard to envision him giving-up as many sacks as Peters did last year, much less the half-hearted effort. Dockery blows. I'd consider Tutan Reyes (who the Giants recently signed, BTW) an even swap for him. Hangartner is an upgrade over Preston/Fowler. Hear me now, believe me later.
  15. Yes, too bad the Bills didn't address the offense this off-season.
  16. Duh, you do realize that Ellison started all last year, right? I mean, you've been told about twenty times so far. So it's "even" at worst.
  17. Guess what another difference between you and Lynch is? You're not an NFL RB.
  18. The gold teeth are those Grillz things, or something like it.
  19. Johnson was making claims about what happened 17 years ago. Without any substantiation whatsoever, much less for any claims of Mudd continuing to do it since that time. And the playoff game proved...what? The Colts ran the no-huddle on the final drive of the 1st half and noticed the Patriots' defense was tired-out by it. So they ran the no-huddle in the 2nd half and scored at-will. It didn't take stealing signals to figure that one out, pally. Or are you claiming that "Slow Tony" illegally videotaped signals as well? Well then, why didn't Belichick finger him, or any other coaches, when he got caught? Wait, let me guess: it's because he's too classy to do that. Again, it goes back to JJ's "credibility." No wonder you have a problem with it. And if he really cared about "tarnish[ing] his own reputation," he wouldn't have admitted that he had guys fishing through garbage. And it's not like anyone can do anything about it now, like take away his rings, the money he's made and fame he's achieved as a result. It's little different than Alex Rodriguez saying "yeah, I took steroids with the Rangers, but I'm clean now (and you can't do anything about it)."
  20. The Panthers wanted Hangartner back, but didn't have the money. Walker has played LT in the pros. Butler played RT in college. And shifting from college OC and OT to NFL OG is much easier than vice versa.
  21. I'd rather have PT than not. Ellison isn't starting quality. But I'll wait to see what was offered and accepted before I pass judgement on whether the FO blew it or not.
  22. Try re-reading my post and this time noticing "what looks to be an...imposing interior OL." But even still, having TO taking-away coverage from Evans and Reed, as well as the LOS which will allow Lynch and Jackson more running room, will have a beneficial effect for the OL.
