  1. Nice story, for both guys. The singer Journey had before Pineda sounded exactly like Steve Perry as well, and kinda looked like him.
  2. Um, the right side is typically the "strong side," meaning there is usually a TE to "help" in the running game.
  3. Thanks for the recap. And I thought McKelvin was the one with stone hands and Corner was a ballhawk!
  4. The NFL is the lesser of the problems. Avoiding jailtime is the bigger one.
  5. Why would Marshawn have more to lose than his kid brother or some other friend? Actually being a star athlete would help him versus some joe schmoe.
  6. I knew that one. What about "see you in Toledo?" Is that a variation of the other?
  7. As I mentioned in my post, this along with the medication and medical equipment companies all being for profit is why things won't change, and why doctors will continue to get squeezed because they're the most convenient target to reduce health care costs.
  8. Yeah, you would think that some reporter would have dredged-up someone who saw Marshawn drinking and/or getting into his ride. Doesn't mean he didn't, but it is odd that no one has come forward.
  9. So what happened when Flutie went to SD? He went from "just winning" to "just losing."
  10. It took Hardy 3 days to issue his statement.
  11. Yes, Marshawn's 2008 Porsche Cayenne was impounded.
  12. It's a misdemeanor if the victim suffers minor injuries, which she did. It's a felony with major injuries or death.
  13. Considering Parrish copped to a DUI, which is also a misdemeanor, and hasn't been suspended, I doubt Marshawn will be. Assuming he was driving and pleads guilty.
  14. Matt Roth was charged with DUI a week before Roscoe was.
  15. Based on all the threads condemning the Dols' DB Will Allen for allegedly pulling a gun on someone a few days after Hardy did it? Or Dols' DE Matt Roth getting a DUI earlier this year?
  16. Let me add another observation. If the woman was determined to have fallen, she would have been backboarded by EMS. She wasn't and was able to walk to the ambulance. So I doubt she even fell from getting "hit." This sounds like Hardy allegedly fighting with his dad and pulling a gun, i.e. an embarrassment but overblown.
  17. That is ironic. And it sure sounds like he was having DT's. Again if you think you can suggest it to him, mention AA.
  18. What we know is that she was able to walk to the ambulance. Think about it; how do you get "struck" by a car but suffer no serious injuries? I'd say at best she was "struck" by the sideview mirror as she approached the car and it sped away, and possibly that she wasn't struck at all. Should the driver still have gotten out to check on her? Sure.
  19. Might have been a good time to tell him to go to AA. Seriously.
  20. My post wasn't directed at you. But yhe main problem is that the drug, equipment, and insurance companies are operating under capitalistic forces, making hundreds of billions of dollars annually, while doctors and nurses continue to make less and people go uninsured. Unless those change first, nothing else will. And the chances of those changing are small.
  21. Medicine will never be socialized and it shouldn't be, because IMHO it's not a right. Too many people smoke, drink, eat/poorly, screw, and otherwise engage in activities/jobs with a high risk of disease/injury too much, while avoiding exercise and other healthy habits. Even congenital diseases shouldn't be my concern, since I'm no more responsible for helping to pay for inherited disease than I'm entitled to Donald Trumps' kids' inheritance. Maybe that's a harsh view, but that's life and survival of the fittest. I don't expect that if I've done something shady, or even if I'm wrongly accused of something, that I get free representation by the best lawyers out there.
  22. Lakers in 5.
  23. Heathers.
  24. I doubt anyone expected more than a few of the 17,500 Argos season tickets holders to buy tickets, and that that was done as a courtesy to the CFL. As for Bills season ticket holders, the price for Toronto tickets is pretty high, not to mention there's the "protest" factor. So no surprise that the game hasn't soldout yet. But it will.
  25. With no contract signed and thus no guaranteed money, there's even LESS incentive for a rookie to put-in extra effort. And his contract will be slotted, so it's not like him putting-in extra effort will change anything.
