  1. http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10882613
  2. The fact that he went to Edwards on his own to work on fade patterns suggests he wants to work on his game. And I recall the 5'11" 198# Evans working with Troy Vincent to learn to beat the jam at the LOS, which he did. It shouldn't be a major problem.
  3. To paraphrase Raymond Duncan, "The best substitute for experience is being [fifteen]."
  4. The difference is that you think the Bills' moves will mostly fail while the Fins' and Jets' moves will mostly work. I say you're wrong. Not to mention the Fins will have a new coaching staff and rookie head coach while Mangini isn't the genius people thought. So we'll just have to agree to disagree. And when the Bills sweep those teams again, I'm sure you'll have some excuses for them.
  5. I disagree. I think Hardy is the most important since he has a real chance to start. McKelvin will likely be worked-in slowly.
  6. It's also false. If it's true, it's amazing he caught 191 passes for 36 TD's in college.
  7. When I heard that Turk wanted to use a FB, I was understood it that he wanted one for short yardage/goalline situations (and I'm assuming not to always run the ball, which would have been predictable and something Fairchild would do). Not to run out of 1 HB 1 FB set on a consistent basis. And the odds are useless in and of themselves. If you were to accept that there is a 75% chance that a rookie WR won't do much and as a result don't play him and miss out on something, you're doing yourself a disservice.
  8. Okay AKC, here's a little project for you. Since your bartender friends seem to know everything that Lynch does wrong, ask them if they or know someone they know Lynch drinking that night, much less drunk. Shouldn't be too hard to find out. Because being drunk is the only logical explanation for him to leave her "dying in the middle of the road," if he allegedly knew he hit her and took off.
  9. One man's class is another man's displeasure. As I turned it back on AKC, I'll bet most if not all his bartender friends, whose honor he's defending by calling people who bring their own alcohol into bars "scumbags," don't report all their income. But in their case, there are excuses like "they don't do that!!!!!!!!!" or "they don't make enough," or "they're not the owners of a bar." Please. Judge not lest ye be judged.
  10. You mean like your namesake? Or like any other person who sneaks alcohol into events/establishments?
  11. You were the one claiming that the Fins and Jets improved more than the Bills, by effectively trashing every pickup made by the Bills. I returned the favor by trashing the pickups of those teams. Why should I accept that the Bills' pickups were meaningless and the Fins' and Jets' pickups weren't? Especially when you contradict yourself with examples like Torbor versus Mitchell, Starks versus Johnson, and Stroud versus Smiley? Should we say that no team's pickups were any good? If so, which is the better team still? QB is the most important position on a team. What makes you think that Clemens will improve? Beck? Seems like more than a few "experts" think Edwards has real potential, whereas no one is saying much about the other guys. Forget comparing Evans to Coles or Cotchery. If given the choice, I'd take Cotchery and Coles over Evans and whoever wins the #2 spot (even Hardy, who as I said won't be counted on to be a #1 WR), until proven otherwise. Coles would likely have had 1,000 yards had he not gotten hurt. And if you think that Coles has been inconsistent, what does that make Evans? You mentioned him as a reason why the Jets did poorly last year. Now he's gone, therefore his return can't help them this year. I could have mentioned how Clements' departure last year probably cost the Bills a shot at the playoffs. Take a guess why I didn't? You just mentioned 2 games in which the ST's did some good things, but the Bills still lost. How many games do you figure Miller's absence cost the Jets? Or to put it another way, how many games did he win for the Jets in 2006? Woody wasn't even a fulltime starter for the Lions last year, getting demoted from RG and then playing RT after their starter got injured. He's a backup at best. The "washed-up" and "why did they get rid of him" was for your benefit, considering you've used those to denounce the Stroud trade. As I alluded to in the first paragraph, I can poke holes in any FA pickup made by other teams, just like you can with the Bills. I guess we'll just have to wait and see, won't we?
  12. I don't consider bringing alcohol to bars "bad behavior." Like I said, given how many people cheat some system and do real bad things, it's so far down the list, I thought it was a joke when I first read about it in the Buffalo News. As for the hit and run, you know my position on that.
  13. You think Peters' agent wasn't doing the same soon after least season ended?
  14. The problem is that the Bills set the precedent last year by giving Schobel, a good player but not at Peters' level, a huge new contract despite him having 3 years left on his previous deal, because Kelsay got a fat new contract, all without asking (that we know of). Peters signed his $$3M/year contract when he was playing RT, was moved to LT and became a Pro Bowler, while the guy he replaced at LT (Mike Gandy) signed a $5M/year deal on the market. And he's going to get a new contract at the latest by next year. But with the way salaries have been skyrocketing, if the Bills give him a new deal now, it probably won't cost them too much more in the long run, seeing as it will cost probably $10M more overall to sign him next year, if he has the year everyone thinks he will.
  15. So now Lynch is "stealing directly out of the bar owners cash register?" LOL! What's next; calling him the chief reason there's poverty among Buffalo-area bartenders? Sorry but if you want to play moral judge, you'll have to accept the fact that more than a few people you know are cheating one system or another. Whether you excuse some because they don't affect you speaks more about you than anything else. You are so willing to believe that Lynch couldn't possibly have not known that he hit that girl (it's called reasonable doubt), yet you are so convinced that your bartender friends, whose cause you are championing, aren't under-reporting their income, aka cheating the system. Or maybe they're taking bartender jobs on the side and getting paid under the table. Go with that theory, if it helps you sleep at night atop that high horse. So what about the early 90's Bills? Eric Moulds? What would you say about their lifestyle decisions? Or does it not concern you because you didn't know about that stuff at the time?
  16. Who cares, as long as they produce as a unit.
  17. Wow, Lynch sounds like the cheatingest person ever! Because no one cheats in other ways. But since you have bartender friends, "cheating" this way strikes a chord with you. But tell me AKC, do you think your bartender friends report all their earnings/tips? If they don't, they're scumbags. And I bet they don't.
  18. How can he be wrong, when he knows that people who bring alcohol to bars are scumbags? Just like those who sneak it into sporting events, movies, anywhere else they can.
  19. I withdrew my allegation.
  20. It was another woman (apparently a friend of the victim) who he saw dancing and spinning in the street, who he slowed down to avoid. That's why he didn't see the woman he actually hit.
  21. So it's safe to assume that you hit the person head-on and clearly knew you hit him/her? It wasn't dark, rainy, your stereo wasn't playing, and there was no woman dancing to distract you, right? And you think that Lynch instantaneously called his lawyer when he hit the woman to see what he should do, knowing it was a person even though he never sloweddown? Wow, that's some technology!
  22. Yes, because you and everyone around you is a saint.
  23. He'll suck because krazykat thinks his regular season stats were unimpressive. And he was signed by the Bills.
