  1. I didn't have Fargas' splits in 2006 before. Now I do. Might want to look at them again (as well as 2005): http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/spli...&sYear=2006 And I realize how a certain subset of fans here do business; by making stuff up. Fair enough.
  2. Who cares what he did with the Raiders? They had the worst offense in NFL history, thanks mostly to an OC who was running a bed and breakfast prior to the season and who along with the head coach, hadn't been in the NFL for 11 years. He was a rookie. I don't understand why you can't see this point. Time will tell. Many of your predictions have been duly noted.
  3. Did Duke illegally videotape?
  4. LOL! A "turnstile?" Do you make this stuff up? After Peters got hurt and Chambers got help from the TE, Walker surrendered just 2 QB hurries to LDE's in his last 2 games: one to Michael Strahan (a scrub, I know) and one to Juqua Thomas/Parker.
  5. We'll see if that still holds.
  6. Sorry but your claim that Stroud "suffer[ed] a rapid slide over the past 3 years in production" is as disingenuous as your claim that the Patriots have 2-1st rounders backing-up Wilfork and that the Bills haven't used high picks on DL, when they've used a 2nd rounder each on Schobel and Kelsay, a 1st rounder on McCargo, and traded for a former 1st rounder in Stroud. Stroud was an All-Pro (which means more than being named a Pro Bowler, which he also was) in 2005, which was 3 seasons ago, and has been injured the past 2 years. However in the those 2 years, he's played 20 games (and he wasn't completely healthy for a good number of them) and had 43 tackles (38 solo) and 5.5 sacks. He hardly fell off the face of the earth as you would have us believe and his drop in production was directly tied to him missing time with his injured ankle. The ankle is still obviously a concern. Just like they know a lot about Matt Jones, yet they still keep him on the roster.
  7. What you can do is go back in time and NOT vote for Bush, EITHER time! Other than that, nothing.
  8. Yeah, but not nearly as remote as Matt Jones becoming a productive WR.
  9. Given the above, it's amazing that the allegedly drunk Lynch didn't kill himself. and instead just hit some woman with his sideview mirror.
  10. First off, the Patriots kept 4 DT/NT's on their roster. And of those, 1 was a 1st rounder (Wilfork). The other 2-1st round DL are DE's Seymour and Warren. Both can play DT, but under most circumstances, don't. The remainder of the backup DT's are second day picks. I don't disagree with what you're saying about the Bills' DT situation, but it's not like the Patriots have 2-1st rounders backing-up Wilfork. The Bills were 7-9 last year despite injuries and a rookie QB and RB. With the off-season additions the Bills are at least a .500 team, even if Stroud, who was playing at a high level in 2006 before getting injured, misses half the season again.
  11. Tunch Ilkin.
  12. The only year he was just a GM was in 2000 and the Jets didn't make the playoffs. Every other year, outside of 2001 and 2002 when he was out of the league, he's been a head coach, and one of the best. Although a lot of his major success, i.e. going deep into the playoffs and SB wins, were with Belichick as his DC. I'd be more concerned if he were coaching the Fins, but since he isn't, I'm not.
  13. Again the difference is between Parcells as a coach and Parcells as a GM. Until we see how Parcells fares as a GM, you can't even begin to compare him to Levy.
  14. It remains to be seen how good Parcells is as a GM. And he hasn't led a team to the SB since he was 55, or a SB win since he was 50.
  15. You nailed it the first time; but it won't be enough. These two seemingly need things explained to them about 20 times before it sinks in. I had to explain to kk that just because Matt Jones, a guy who only played QB in HS and college, was a bust as a WR in the pros, it doesn't mean that Hardy, who's been playing WR since HS, will be a bust. He stopped responding so I think he finally got the message. But here, I've told ow about 5 times that the DT's will be switching-off between NT and 3-tech, yet he's stuck on the fact that there's no permanently-designated NT. He's also stuck on Stroud's weight of 310# (as if), while ignoring the fact that Jason Ferguson is 312# and it the ONLY player Parcells signed that knows the 3-4. The Fins should have one of the worst defenses in the NFL again this year. And the worst, if they trade Taylor or he sits-out for half the season.
  16. He went out and got Jason Ferguson, who as I said is 33, coming off an injury, and who weighs just 312#, to play in the 3-4. The rest of the guys, outside of Porter, whose best days are well behind him, have never played in a 3-4 in their NFL careers, including new additions Reggie Torbor and Randy Starks. So if you want to get hung-up on Stroud allegedly being too small at 310# (yeah) to play NT, go right ahead. It won't make it any more correct.

  18. I'm not overly concerned with the Fins. They have a new/rookie HC again, mostly new coaches, and will be going with a 3-4, likely without Jason Taylor.

  20. The Bills are no worse at QB or WR than they were last year, and are arguably better. They're also better on defense. The Fins should be better, but they still won't be able to beat the Bills. The Jets might split. And I can see the Bills winning the season-ender against the Cheaters.
  21. I've gone over this elsewhere. Instead of rehashing this, let me ask you, where do you think the Bills got worse over the off-season? Who did they lose of any significance? Who did they gain? What effect did the injuries last year have on the team? Do you think that the rookies last year gained any valuable experience? When answer the above questions, the Bills as I said should be no worse than 9-7. That might not be enough for the playoffs, but it will be an improvement record-wise.
  22. Barring massive injuries again, I don't see the team going any worse than 9-7, much less 7-9 or worse.
  23. Oh and BTW obie wan, the Fins are counting on the 33-year old and 312# Jason Ferguson to play NT.
  24. There was a threat of the suspension of the bar owner's liquor license if he told Lynch he had to stop using his own alcohol and then started comping his drinks? Sure. And I guess we can conclude that no one saw him drinking that night, therefore he couldn't have been drunk when his car's sideview mirror his Ms. Shpeley. Case closed.
