  1. Actually since he didn't report yesterday, he lost an accrued season, which goes towards unrestricted FA (mostly if there is an uncapped year in 2010). But it's moot since he's under contract for 3 more years. If he doesn't show by week 10, he loses a credited year and will still have 3 years remaining on his contract. Who got screwed by this, potentially, is Steven Jackson, who as we all know is also represented by Eugene Parker.
  2. The big guys have lots of insulation.
  3. Probably. Big guys like that hate the sweltering heat. And that should help keep him fresher during games.
  4. The Packers HAVE to make the playoffs this year, or Thompson and McCarthy are gone. If they have kids, I feel bad for what going to happen to them in school.
  5. I never saw Starr play. Why are his stats so pedestrian?
  6. Yep. Thompson wants to prove that he rebuilt the team all the way. Unfortunately for him, he did nothing to ensure that Ryan Grant doesn't run for a lousy 2.2 YPC in the NFCCG again. If not ensure the opposite by getting rid of Favre.
  7. Not a lot, because he can't stay healthy. The guy has only been active for 7 games his entire (3 year) NFL career! But true, we'll say he's unproven and I'll retract my statement that he's shown nothing. How is he a better option than a guy who just came off a Pro Bowl season? Because he looks good (which apparently isn't even true) in practice? The more I look at the situation, the more I realize it's not Favre's ego at work here, it's Thompson's, probably because he was crappy player. There is no other logical explanation.
  8. Geisinger is a nobody and probably won't even make a roster this season. King might have survived 2006 with the Bills as the 5th CB (likely inactive every weekend), but that's about it. There are far better DB's on their roster now. SQWAWK!
  9. LOL! Favre sucks so much he made the Pro Bowl last year. And Rodgers has 2 years left on his contract, but has shown nothing since being drafted 3 years ago.
  10. It's more like the 30-second rule: http://www.boston.com/business/ticker/2007...nd_dropped.html
  11. Look for Thompson and McCarthy to get fired before the end of the season.
  12. The Bills could sweep the Fins with John Fina coming out of retirement to play LT. As for the Jets, I think it will be a split without Peters and a sweep with him.
  13. If Ted Allen is the dude from "Queer Eye" then I saw that episode as well, and he mentioned that bleu cheese was probably used as a dip just for that purpose.
  14. What? His agent might have lied?!
  15. McKelvin reported last week.
  16. Wait until you see Martin Nance against the Seahawks' 3rd stringers.
  17. He's married to Stephanie March. He can't be all that gay.
  18. Most have a primary agent and at least one other junior agent.
  19. The worst is ranch dressing instead of bleu cheese.
  20. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writ...tml?eref=si_nfl
  21. I had no problem with him electrocuting and cutting himself. It was allowing himself to be hoisted onto the prep table at the end that was embarrassing.
  22. In other rookie news, Brandon Albert will miss the rest of pre-season at least with a foot injury, making his transition from college OG to NFL LT harder. And DE Derrick Harvey still hasn't signed with the Jags.
  23. Things happen in groups of threes...
  24. Instead he'd knock someone up on the way. It was inevitable that with the horrible injury he suffered, his knee only had so much usable life.
  25. Not exactly. If the Bills win without him and he sits out until game 11, he basically makes no money for the year and the Bills still own him for 2 more year at least, and can own him for another 2 with the franchise tag. And they might have even inserted verbiage in his last contract allowing them to recoup his signing bonus for something like this. Also, there's a difference between negotiating and a player/his agent demanding a certain pay range and nothing else.
