  1. Unless the Bills suffer an inordinate number of injuries again, I don't see them losing to the Fins this year. There has just been too much change on the Fins to think they'll do any better than last year, despite the culture change.
  2. The Bears are reportedly very interested in Pennington. So too should be the Vikes.
  3. In what way? And what effect does an entirely new coaching staff have on the team?
  4. And in other Fins-related news, it looks like adding Terry Glenn is on hold, because Glenn's knees are shot.
  5. The Jets with Favre aren't a SB contender. The Vikes and Bucs with Favre however ARE SB contenders. Trading him to the Jets made the most sense for the Packers, although apparently according to the Bucs, they were never really all that interested.
  6. It's not uncommon for teams to do this. The Browns just did this with a CB named Holly.
  7. Or maybe they like Edwards and his long-term potential? This deal definitely smacks of "we need to win NOW" on Mangini's and Tannenbaum's parts.
  8. Hopefully the Jets get the 2005-2006 Brett Favre. I think the Bills will split with them this year.
  9. He reported that the Bills tried to trade back into the 1st round to get a WR, and specifically Devin Thomas? Link? And the Steelers were going to take Hardy with their 1st round pick, until Rashard Mendenhall fell into their laps. What does it all mean? Nothing until they start playing. But I'm happy the Bills took Hardy. He'll present matchup problems in short order.
  10. Apparently the WR's can't catch: http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast/0-2-28/...-receivers.html I'm glad the Bills passed on Wilford. Looks like a gimpy Terry Glenn might be their best option.
  11. After August 8th he'll lose an accrued season, but since he already has 4 accrued seasons and is under contract for 3 more years, it's a moot point for him. For Steven Jackson however, it isn't, though only if he doesn't come to terms on a new deal and the Rams franchise him next year and the NFL has no salary cap in 2010. If Peters held out past the 10th week of the season, he'd lose a credited season and still be under contract with the Bills for 3 more years. I think in Jackson's case, he'll report. In Peters' case, there is no urgency.
  12. Do the Bills have a conditioning test?
  13. How about Dr. Z's assessment? "He's one of, if not the best, left tackles in the league." http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writ...tml?eref=si_nfl
  14. Holy non-sequitur, Batman!
  15. No argument there.
  16. I thought I able to, but I guess not.
  17. I seriously hope you're joking. Without Peters, the games might actually be close losses for the Fins.
  18. I agree that that INT was bad. But by all accounts, the game should have ended in regulation but the snap was high and Tynes missed it. With even an average running game, the Packers would have won that game. Again that's more a testament to the Giants' defense. And I'm glad with how things turned out, since I don't know if the Packers would have beaten the Patriots.
  19. Better yet, let's do nothing else but invade other oil producing countries and let the oil people and Halliburton get rich off of it.
  20. Naw, he was a reach.
  21. Actually I'm not sure now. It would make sense that it would be before the player's team's first game. And maybe the reason neither Jackson nor Peters have reported. Well, Jackson at least, since it (losing an accrued season towards FA) affects him more than Peters.
  22. It's not like had any help from his running game, or his defense, who couldn't get off the field (almost a carbon copy of the Bills-Giants SB where the Giants had a 2:1 TOP ratio to the Bills). And the last real football game I saw played, the Giants' defense was totally shutting down the "greatest offense in NFL history." Yet by getting rid of Favre, the Packers will now be favorites to get to, much less win, the SB, because Rodgers WON'T "totally collapse?" Yeah, right. The Packers will miss the playoffs because a) Rodgers will suck and/or b) Rodgers will get hurt. And as a result, Thompson and McCarthy will get fired, if not killed by some rabid Packers fan, and Rodgers will be cut in the off-season.
