  1. Mr. WEO's band of miserable misfits adds another.
  2. Yeah and Carolina was so impressed with Justin Hartwig, that they dumped him, only to watch him anchor the SB-winning OL. And then they produced that brilliant plan against the Cardinals, where they passed the ball to the tune of 5 Delhomme INT's, instead of running the ball, which is what got them to where they were. This reminds me of that poster last year who claimed that the Jags knew that Stroud was washed-up, hence the reason they traded him. He was also the same poster who believe that he deserved comped drinks because he added value to a bar, versus someone like Lynch. Yeah.
  3. You agree with me that your premise was poor? Cool.
  4. LOL! Let me know when the "adult" talk starts, bro. After that fantastical defense of the Patriots' cheating ways and Kraft's CBA, I suspect you could deliver a dissertation on the existence of Santa Claus. But hey, keep on proving how you're not a Patriots fan, or an uber-frustrated Bills fan (your mirror cracked long ago). In either case, not watching the Bills, much less commenting on them, is probably the best for you.
  5. We already know we're weak at tackle? Yet Hangartner hasn't proven anything yet?
  6. The Bills will be improved, and it won't be just on paper. Add a short-yardage back and 3rd down receiver/blocker like Rhodes, and the Bills improved their offense immensely. Actually this is what you do this early in the season to the O-line. The fallback being Walker and Butler back at RT and RG respectively, Wood or Levitre starting at LG, and Chambers or Bell at LT (Hangartner stays at center regardless).
  7. Oh, I thought you meant career-wise.
  8. It's a simple statement about a simple concept. This is football. A pasttime, diversion, or in the words of my wife "a waste of time." It's not a marriage. It doesn't really affect you. If you're so GD miserable about the owner, coach, thug players, that the team isn't the Patriots, etc., find another team or stop watching football. Life is too short to be made miserable by something over which you have complete control. And believe me, better people than you have switched allegiances.
  9. I'm ecstatic TO is with the Bills, but that shirt is a little over the top. This is just about football, right?
  10. Did you? That is, outside of the ones against the Patriots? What struck you most about Greer in those last 6 games of the season? But you knew what I meant. And go ahead and believe that McKelvin wouldn't have won the starting spot from Greer outright.
  11. Then why do you continue to watch AND post on a message board?
  12. That would be Derek Fine.
  13. Greer wasn't worth $6M/year. He's a nice player, but not that nice.
  14. Orakpo and Ayers are being tried at LB'er from the get-go, with an eye to move them to DE later. Just FYI.
  15. I don't know, but intending to distribute rigged voting boxes (that were supplied by Chavez) is both illegal and wrong. I wouldn't be loathe to the same thing happening here, should Obama try to "fix" healthcare with his retarded plans.
  16. There was no new deal because Peters rejected every proposal. Here again are Brandon's words: Since Peters was traded April 17th, 3-1/2 months into the year, that means the negotiations began when Brandon said they did, i.e. after Evans' deal (October 2nd). Had they agreed to a contract, he'd have had a new deal. But it appears that Peters had a tantrum and decided not to re-sign with the Bills, because they didn't give him a new deal before the 2008 season, before showing-up, and/or because Evans was their priority. As for Evans getting dicked-around, he was well-paid for his first 4 seasons, given his production, just like Peters was. And Evans didn't whine about his deal just 2 years into it.
  17. Sure. Cut blocks are legal.
  18. The Bills didn't lose much with Greer leaving. He was a good player, but he played in just 10 games last year and his stating spot was going to be given to McKelvin (who showed he had the skills as a rookie) anyway. Greer's salary demands pretty much put the last nail in the coffin. Corner is a nice up-and-coming player, while Florence has experience, and anything from Youboty is gravy. Lankster may be something, but that remains to be seen. So if anything, the secondary is improved with the greater talent, experience, and depth. The only other place where major changes took place is the O-line. Gone are Peters, Dockery, and Preston/Fowler. Preston/Fowler were upgraded tremendously with Hangartner. Dockery could have been upgraded with a shrubbery, but for good measure, the Bills drafted the (consensus) top-rated OG (Levitre) to replace him. The real wildcard is Walker replacing Peters, whose 11.5 sacks surrendered (or 12, if you go by "football metrics" dude KC Joyner) were pretty poor. At worst the Bills go back to having Butler at RG and Walker at RT, Wood or Levitre starting at LG, and Bell or Chambers at LT. However to help-out the O-line, the Bills added a tremendous talent in TO. His presence will prevent teams from stacking the box. That will not only help the O-line in pass-blocking, but run-blocking as well. And they also added Dominic Rhodes, who is an excellent pass-blocker, and short-yardage and receiving RB. It wouldn't surprise me to see him out there as a rule on 3rd downs, maybe with another RB. Beyond that, the Bills get back Schobel, who played in 5 games last year and being healthy for at-best 4 of them, and added a pass-rushing specialist (for now) in Maybin. They also probably won't see a starter who had practiced at his position for the entire off- and pre-season up and quit on them just days before the start of the season, and that will be a big plus. If they can get someone better to replace Ellison, so much the better. And Sanders looks like a promising DL coach.
  19. The jab at his intelligence was in response to the "Hard to believe Peters can't see..." sentence. It's apparent his protracted holdout was his idea and against the wishes of his agent, which tells me that he's as dumb as his Wonderlic indicated. His comments about not caring if he surrendered a sack because he wasn't getting paid as much as he thought he was worth only confirmed that more. And seemingly as a result of his holdout, he had a subpar season. The Eagles better hope that was the reason, and that he's not giving-up double-digit sacks next year. As for the Eagles, I wasn't slamming their success. I merely commented on how bloodthirsty their fans and media are, and how he can't merely hide away like he did in Buffalo. I also said that IF they miss the playoffs, which is a real possibility, then Reid will probably be fired. And then Peters going to "a perennial playoff/relevant NFL team" won't materialize. But hey, at least he's still getting paid.
  20. The question was whether Peters would get a new deal during the 2008 season. The answer was yes.
  21. A couple hits to the Brady's knee, Wilfork-stylee...
  22. I can believe it. He's physically gifted for sure, but mentally he's not all there. I'm sure even his agent would admit that, although Peters lovers like yourself won't. The Bills had him by the balls, but realized he'd pull the same stunt again. They made the best of a bad situation. Especially given Peters' poor performance last year with no guarantee he'd ever play well again. And he'd have gotten paid by the Bills. Now he'll be in the spotlight every weekend because he's the 2nd highest-paid player on the team, protecting the highest-paid player. In a huge fishbowl. You know what they say about the grass being greener... What would be hilarious is if the Eagles miss the playoffs, which is very possible, and Reid gets fired, which is what would happen. While the Bills make the playoffs.
  23. I'm thinking he was talking about Bernard Pollard.
  24. Joel Bell was a longshot at best. A few people had heard of him and thought he could be a gem, but it didn't workout. So as a result, no one has picked him up.
