  1.

Well her opinion "flawlessly meshed" with the views of a large part of this board too.....

One of her invented interview subjects gave an extreme outlier opinion (EJ and Tyrod are the same) that next to no one believes. It's a laughable opinion that is certainly not held by most (any?) Bills fans, but conveniently ties together the article's 'Bills fans are racist' undertones. It's piss poor journalism.

  2. Why are they going to Duff's to get quotes from fans? Sounds like a couple of people who have no clue what is going on.

It's pretty easy to find someone in a restaurant "brimming with Bills fans" to put their name on a quote about their Bills quarterback opinion, so it's pretty telling to me that it came from an anonymous "middle aged woman in a Bills sweatshirt".

What a coincidence that her opinion flawlessly meshed into the article's underlying theme!

  3. Again, EJ Manuel and Justin Hunter were signed and not ncondiered losses because their salaries were slightly low. Does the fact that they are active and have been playing change things? Could they now count?

They definitely have not played enough snaps to qualify.

On the other hand, Leonard Johnson will almost certainly become a qualifying free agent. If he does, he would need to be cut as well. It's not going to happen.

  4. Another thing to keep in mind is that most of these projections are based on the website 'Over The Cap's' cutoff for qualification of 961 which is subject to change (both in terms of the actual cutoff number and players moving up and down the list due to snap count adjustments). Players for the Bills within 100 spots of their cutoff.

    In: Ducasse (872), Davis (899), Johnson (1040)

    Out: Blanton (1042), Hunter (1057)

I can imagine a scenario where Ducasse slips far enough down to no longer qualify and Hunter is one of the players that replaces him, which would shift the Bills from 5/7 to 6/6.

  5. I don't know the exact formula off-hand, but there is a playing time component (non special teams based snaps). There is a chance that Ducasse may not count if the o-line stays healthy. There is also a chance that Justin Hunter may count as a loss if he plays enough snaps for the Steelers.

  6. Didn't feel like starting a new thread, but just a note for everyone who is down on Carpenter...

The Bills are 4th in the league in FG %, and tied for first in XP% (tied with 16 other teams, but still that means 15 teams have XP issues)

Buffalo has missed two extra points this season. No team in the NFL has missed three and only Carolina, Seattle, and Minnesota have also missed two. By percentage, they are in a three way tie for 25th.

Buffalo is in a three way tie for 20th in FG percentage.

  7. My source is impeccable. Maybe it won't ever become public, maybe the issue has already been solved (I heard this 2.5 weeks ago; I only posted it today because I figured it would come out anyway now that he's been put on a public list) but he is on this list because of a kidney issue. Ban me if you must, but make sure to reactivate me when the truth comes out.
