What exactly is the real story with Mike Edwards?
DrPJax replied to Jukester's topic in The Stadium Wall
Big nothing burger as this content provider has no team access, just throws out opinions like , well like an anatomy part we are all born with. Compare this type of drivel to quality analysis friom Eric Turner , owner if cover 1. It’s worthless clickbait and I wish him luck at his real job as that podcast is one of the least reliable , unqualified “ content providers “ , I have seen. Hey , just like him, it just my opinion, as a fan , certainly no expert. ( tho I have followed the bills for 50 years , so I might even have absorbed more insight just by reading TBD!) Mainly uses others info to just then add his own insights , and I’m sorry , some have journalistic training and talent , and some have a podcast just because anyone can! TBD is miles ahead and mostly , far less annoying as the website can’t wear a hat backwards and drink while broadcasting. lol. Sure seems like a nice “ dude “ , bills fan , but does every fan need to try to cash in with podcasts from their kitchen table ? As long as bills are winning , clickbait will flourish, and it’s no wonder the franchise really protects its intellectual property. Watched several times to give it a fair chance , but if you want to do a podcast full time , work at it , get training , get education. Most jobs have minimal required abilities; the content industry hasn’t caught up. We can’t all be natural talents who beat the odds like macafee and the yins guys. lol. When Mcd or Beane tell us about Edwards , then we’ll know facts. Personally , have never heard anything NEW on that site ; it’s more reactive to issues , so if you need another reactive opinion and can’t form one yourself , then this might be worth the twice daily effort ! Or if you just need a buddy , this could help fill the need! Best bills info is here , shout, cover 1 with Eric and ant , bbs own with brownie / taster and days the nfl film guru Greg Cosell is on or with orlovsky. Buff fanatics is entertaining, overreaction with fina and ostroski is insightful, yet fina seems to hold back to maintain being in the bills good graces. Ostroski is not afraid to be honest. . Buffalo plus is an up and comer and well produced with great chemistry with the 3 pro tv people, Dan , Jenna, & Mike . Sal and ove are pretty good but Sal , imo , is overexposed. Eric wood has promise. Really like longs pod ( green light?) about the nfl with great guests and fan interaction. Bills mafia with Tommy and Mikey is very friendly. ( Tommy recently lost his mom so always good to support and help in that terrible grieving time). What do you guys think? Market is really saturated. Would enjoy your input and favorite content creators choices. ! Go Bills.! -
Pretty sure that was sarcastic humor. You may have missed the point , unless I missed your sarcasm playing along. If so, I’m an old guy , forgive me 😊✌️

The Bills Defense is Last in Rushing Yards / Attempt
DrPJax replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall
Belicheck pointed out on the manning cast we lack team speed on d and it’s been an issue and attacked by teams for years now. He pointed out that the td run by Henry should have never happened and no one, even with angles on him could catch him , that’s lack of speed esp on first d play of the game. I suggest watching him on the manningcast of the jests game. He broke down several of the bills issues eloquently and imo, is a much better analyst than whiny , cryotochordic Tom Brady who is terrible in terms of adding valuable insight. He also noted we are poor tacklers and need fundamentals stressed. He pointed out the Mcd d goes as the d line plays , not really from the safeties as we all see repeated so often ( don’t shoot me I’m just the messenger ). This d line is not performing well , period. Then the scheme still has cbs mostly off WRs and safeties playing very deep. It’s a recipe for becoming the 32 nd team ranking against the run. The coaching has not adapted or learned. BB called the possibility of either sideline or Hail Mary beforcut happened and explained how hw coached those situations. Was a great watch really; guy has a fantastic football mind and don’t forget , his defensive game plan against the bills in SB25 is in the HOF. He has credibility. I’m not sure Oliver returning is enough alone to fix this. Milano was known for tfl ‘s and was a sure tackler while Williams is adequate , he does tend to miss tackles I believe more than Milano would. Again , watch the first half of the manning cast jets game ; it’s a fine example how a great d coordinator thinks , esp about our flaws. We gave up a large amount of explosive plays and many are long runs with no penetration and slow , hesitant safety play from Hamlin. The d line is not free from its share of blame and I don’t know how you fix that midseason and keep using this scheme that is just inviting the run until it’s stopped , yet unfortunately that tends to happen later in games , or not at all as in Baltimore. Cooper is addressing one huge team issue, putting on or having a replacement kicker is now being addressed. Can Beane do anything to help the d line , can our d coordinator be creative enough to switch schemes or adjust earlier in games is yet to be seen. As Belicheck also stated , if you can’t stop the run , you’re not going anywhere in the playoffs. Beane added coop to fix his earlier misjudgment about the wr corp , can he address the lack of talent along the d line , and can Mcd please quit learning and actually make critical corrections that don’t end up “ rushing two “ , as his late game gaffs are legendary? Teams are gaining explosive plays more and more as they know his weaknesses by now. I would love to see them go after Bb as a defensive consultant , a postion that is surely worth more that the investment in parry to help with rare challenges. -
Bills (still) bringing in kickers for tryout: Brayden Narveson
DrPJax replied to PirateHookerMD's topic in The Stadium Wall
Oregon did same thing to buckeyes , buckeyes front line guy jumped to avoid it but traveled to fast , bounced off him and Oregon recovered. Big change in momentum in a 1 point loss for Ohio state. NFL taking away element of surprise is a bad change imo. Let’s end up with a cookie cutter game , removing strategy , yet they are ok with 220 yards in accepted penalties by a group of refs who were overall terrible, missing or wrong on many calls , but let’s change the entire=kicking game in the name of safety. Didn’t make hutch more safe did it. It’s a big mans , violent game , and they keep limiting the strategy, thinking part of football and it’s heavily weighted in the offenses favor ,,Belichecks words not mine. -
Bills (still) bringing in kickers for tryout: Brayden Narveson
DrPJax replied to PirateHookerMD's topic in The Stadium Wall
Quoting Bill Belicheck, to live in the past is to die in the future. Beane made one move that he was forced to make. It was a move to live now , not waste another season. The Bass move also has to be made. We are lucky he didn’t cost us already. Why not still go for no less than the #2 seed or better? It’s 7 years , many wasted chances. Quit focusing on next season, get the best out of this open opportunity now. If you don’t make a move now w bass , the cooper move is not enough to overcome this uncertainty on offense; we will be forced to make choices on 3 rd / 4 th downs we want to be elective , not forced decisions. Those shanked kicks to me signal a mechanical issue that can’t be trusted. It could recur at any time. You golfers know how fixing a duck hook , or severe slice , involves several mechanical things becoming correct muscle memory. You can’t think your way out of those without pro help usually , and can recur even after you think it’s remedied. Takes time and hours of practice. You wouldn’t go into a match / tournament without hours on the tee doing it till you don’t think about it while standing over the ball. Soon as you are over the ball and you’re thinking mechanics thru in a match , you have lost the confidence to hit that clean shot that feels great and that confidence lack is hard to overcome. Bass is inconsistent and besides all the pressure of the game situation, he’s also thinking about mechanics , like his plant foot etc before the kicks. He can’t be trusted right now ; we all know that feeling when you start overthinking and not just swinging or kicking. He is responsible to teammates for their lively hood, and they deserve production , just like they must produce or lose their jobs. It’s time to change. We have a couple winnable games coming up , we are 9 .5 point favorites Sunday. Shouldn’t be a fg game margin . Perfect time to add a guy , try them at home and get a look. Beane , go for the present , forget the past , it’s time to fix this and not have regrets like last year after driving for the tying fg, only to see another bad miss. Also , the safety position needs improvement. What’s up with Edward’s ? No more useful than mvs at this point. Hamlin is adequate, but without Rapp making huge plays , not sure Hamlin would be seen as being effective. . He reminds me of a lb who made tackles , but after the play was successful 10 yards downfield. and even PO had more ints last year, despite losing a step that was obvious against the fins. Play the rookie , or get some help. What’s Edward’s issue , health or what ? Now he seems like a second mvs, and it’s a weak area that possibly could be addressed. Beane needs to keep working, and seems he still believes we are a playoff team this year. Good first move with coop , now fix kicker as it’s.gone on too long, cost us at home last year and is the last straight forward quick fix. . Last areas to at least consider help is at safety or dline. But those seem like icing on the cake compared to correcting the kicking issue. -
We gave a 2025 third , swapped and got a 2025 6 th , gave them a 2025 7 th , 800 k salary cap hit for a guy with 1200 yards last year. So only gave one pick, swapped a sixth we get if theirs which will be high, for our 7 th in 2025 .Macafee and butler on their saw it as a big steal fir hard worker , no problem guy who butler on macafee said is a legit #1 , not quite as good as raider wr , but this is a great trade. Really needed. Hope Brady gets it figured out quickly.

My thoughts as well. Was tough weekend to see Day lose to another top 5 team. Tougher as I lost my 98 year old mother last week , who never missed watching the buckeyes every week. Was hoping they pulled it out for her , but maybe still can win. Championship. Mcd has to step up tonight. -

Why do I have more confidence in Brick getting the message across than I do McD tonight? Is it possible he is just too comfortable in his position and has difficulty getting team to respond to the “ process “ after 7 plus years? -

Time for tight ends to show up , line has to hold up , Allen has to stop breaking. out of leaving pocket immediately . Pressure Rodgers. , but must hold up against run, as they just said our d is last in. NFL against the run. That won’t win games. -

Would take him over Brady screeching in the booth. If Brady didn’t have kids , I’d swear his testicles never descended. I just don’t like his excited delivery for the entire game. -

Jets just getting framed as more desperate team ; I really thought Mcd was primed to have his best year , until losing another coaching match last week. He has win this against a new HC . New play caller , or I am back on bandwagon that if they don’t make afc championship at least , time to change. Agree with espn. Time to test jets line , get pressure with statue back there. -

I can’t either with his job depending on towing the line, team access. Never met him , but seems like good guy, but also seems like he knows where his bread is buttered and not beyond brown nosing. Again, I like his work , seems like a solid guy , yet he seems to relish his enhanced access Says a lot , everybody not feeling confident. -

With this wr corp not separating , esp against the jets , why do you think it makes passing easy for either team? Just asking , really. Allen having issues but strong arm , Rodgers less mobile but spins it well with good arm. I really think teams go more to running , esp jets with our tacklinG not the best . Hope you’re right , but low confidence point for me with Josh passing looking off. Man I will feel nauseated losing to Rodgers. He can’t move; bills have to hit him. -

That wind is going to make it hard to pass. Seems like a lot going against the Bills ; injuries, facing a desperate team with players wanting to prove it wasn’t them but coaching, team we normally struggle with , Rodgers looking bad with a loss, and we are coming in with low confidence.. just seems like we are the underdog. Mcd and Brady hopefully won’t get out coached by new HC and new play caller. Imo comes down to who runs better ( hope we tackle better) and turnover ratio . Rough test , first time in awhile I have no idea how this team / staff respond. Still have hope! -
James cook misses practice with a foot injury Wed/Thur
DrPJax replied to iwishitwerecolder's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just hope we beat the jets. Watched rodgers on macafee a little while ago. I feel bad saying this but he is just smug personified and of course wanted to deflect by bringing up salehs HUMANITY AND HOW IT AFFECTS HIS CHILDREN AND HOW HE LOVED PASSING A FOOTBALL WITH HIS 7 year old son , and how rodgers hoped no bullies would say anything bad to the kids. lol, defection and a puke fest. They have brick as the HC now , or maybe “ I should call him coach “ , but changes had to be made and it’s a tough business. “ we all know that going in” . The talent is there , just have to make some minor changes. Of course when “ WOODY “ called him on Monday it was just to discuss his ankle injury and game , but yet nothing was ever said about a change. Then a few minutes later he contradicted himself saying he went in early for therapy but he knew the schedule was going to change and they wouldn’t be having the usual qb meeting that day !? What ? I though you said you knew nothing ahead of time but somehow you knew meetings were going to change times that day ? It’s just this smugness that he can’t hide , always raising some issue that he thinks elevates him above others. He was wearing wired earphones to protect his brain ( crazy profession you chose to protect your brain , but I guess blue tooth earphones are more dangerous than head hunting lineman, but you do you Aaron!) and claimed wired earphones are coming back in a small group of players in the clubhouse who want to protect their cognitive ability. Ok , so what has that got to do with the coach you “ love “ so much , a great coach , who just got escorted out the door ? Yeah , nothing but Aaron wants us all to believe they are all victims of a harsh business! So tragic , but he had no role in it , except he did say he could have played better. So main thing is season is not over and winning next game means first place So they will be motivated and this HC was a player for 10 years and he gets the locker room culture, real players type coach. So much for all the love for the prior HC. IT FIGURES this happens just as they are spiraling but now get a lift to face the Bills. Just hope we don’t blow this chance to get the season back on track , and it would feel even worse losing to them and letting the heat dissipate from this just , imo, unlikeable narcissist. Man, please get it together Brady , Mcd , and drive a stake thru this vampire ! Go BILLS! -

Thank you so much for the kind comments. Just lost power for the first time but just for a few min. So knock on wood , so far this side , east coast north Florida , hasn’t been worse than expected. Central area , west coast like st pete , Englewood , Venice. Are getting slammed with waves and cat 3 , now down to cat two winds as it’s over Orlando. Fort pierce git hit by a massive tornado today on east coast. It’s heading toward port canaveral , Titusville area but now a lower cat 2 , which is where the launches occur with Elon and space x. Tomorrow I fear for the results. They actually had flash flood warnings in st Pete , clear water , areas as they had 9 inches of rain in lesss than 3 hours. A new hundred year record and they are expecting totals to be over 15 inches of rain in 24 hours. Pretty sure large parts of the west coast if Florida south of tampa will really be devastated as I have watched all day on YouTube weather cams set up all around Florida. Again , thanks for the kind wishes. It does help a lot just to be able to talk about this really stressful time. 🥹👍🏼😊 -

Thank you , that means a lot. I always appreciate, follow and enjoy your thoughts on the bills over the years. thank you for taking the time to reach out. It’s getting a little scary now as I just saw the weather station has a live female reporter about five minutes from my home in Jax beach and they are warning about surge here as it crosses to the Atlantic. Plus tornadoes are already hitting south Florida on the ground with the storm still 14 hours away. Again , thanks for the kind wishes. 🥹👍🏼 -

My insurance premiums doubled as my company who insured me for years with no claims , dropped me and left the state. So I was paying 6 k a year and it went to over 12 k a year and even state sponsored plans are reportedly insolvent with no guarantee of paying for damage. They also require roof inspection and agreeing to replace any roof over ten years old. It became prohibitive for me as I became partially disabled after failed cervical surgery for 5 herniated discs and had to retire from my usual clinical work. I am 67 , on social security now , and forking out 12 k a year for something you hope to never use has just been out of reach. I have no mortgage , few bills , but the insurance prices had been so bad , many who moved to Florida had to turn around and resell the property as they can’t afford to get insurance. It’s terrible and there has been no relief with government help. I hopefully am not in huge danger as I live in ponte vedra just south of Jacksonville but no part of Florida is fully safe with this storm. I did get wind damage from Helene and This storm is the worst I have seen as it’s supposed to cross the whole state into the Atlantic as a cat 2; even Disney is closed thru Thursday, and cape Canaveral .where space x launches from , is in the direct path as well and cruises leaving from port canaveral are beung cancelled or changed. its a bad time in Florida now and any prayers are appreciated. Many people will lose everything because they can’t afford insurance. I know we will have power outages and storm surge ( i live in zone b and over half of my county south of St. Augustine is under mandatory evacuation. ) and my ISP has stated we will have outages. Lived here since moving from Ohio in 1985 , and this is the most concern for widespread damage I have experienced since moving here. To make it worse , I have been ill with some abdominal issues , so I can’t travel right now. During the bills loss to the ravens , I got an emergency call from my sister in Ohio telling me my 98 year old mom had passed away unexpectedly while in rehab for a head laceration after falling. She couldn’t go straight back to home because she had so much bleeding , her bedroom carpet had to be removed and it was taking time to clean it out and replace it. She was supposed to make it back home where she was still living independently. Something went wrong and we didn’t get her back to her own home like we promised. My father had passed in 2002 and I made many friends on here talking about him ( like 89 and cablelady) and even tho mom was 98 , it was a shock and still a very terrible, unexpected loss. Her funeral / burial took place Thursday before the Texans game. She was a great friend , buckeye and Bills fan, and I convinced her and my father to be Bills fans as we attended SB 28 in Atlanta together , cuz I knew we couldn’t lose 4 in a row. 😏🥹. So we never got to experience that BILLS SB WIN before she passed. Even at my age of 67 , it still is a huge loss of a great part of my life , and it feels much different now with both parents gone. I can’t call and talk about our crazy Bills losses with her anymore. You never can replace your parents as they are your only source of unconditional love , so enjoy every moment and Bills games with them while possible. Sorry , I didn’t intend this to be a lamp , but with this massive hurricane coming , life can change forever in a day and I’m a little emotional still. So with all that going on , hurricane Helene came , and now Milton is bearing down on Florida as its wind field has already doubled as it heads to the state. Our part , Jacksonville area , is expected to get heavy rain , wind gusts and some storm surge as the St. John’s river will be inundated and flood. But my prayers are for those on the west coast and central part of the state. This strength of storm could change parts of Florida forever. It’s been such a stressful time , yet the next 24-48 hours are.beginning to already cause issues with traffic jams , long gas lines, people saying goodbye to their homes possibly for the last time , and the rain bands are starting to hit. Imagine trying to move family , kids , pets , all with just a couple of days notice. The roads are jammed as you can see on YouTube , as people are fleeing. So please keep Floridians in mind as fellow BILLS fans and friends, and later if you can help with things like the Red Cross etc, please think about it as fema has been little support and you have all rallied for causes in the past. Many will need help and IF you can all give a little support it will be a huge help. It is a lot of stress as I know there will be lots of damage from a probable historic storm. Stay safe getting out of evacuation zones and we can pray for this storm to lessen and keep the loss of life down. Here’s hoping we will all be around watching the BIlls get back to being right and beat the unstable, unlikeable , crazy jets. ! Go Bills ! 😊✌️. And mom, I really miss you. -
It’s not an issue this week as he could clearly do a full protocol and pass it; he has no reported symptoms so he would have time to clear the formal protocol without issue. But the problem was THAT DAY HE WAS UNCONSCIOUS WITHOUT any real DOUBT as witnessed about his limp left wrist which , already injured , was not acting reflexively as it would by a conscious athlete. That has to be seen by the independent spotter and then he automatically is NOT ALLOWED FURTHER PARTICIPATION THE SAME DAY OF ANY LEVEL OF CONCUSSION AND smelling salts , while bypassed by Josh , were offered unfortunately and can mask symptoms and alter testing for post concussive symptoms. The main issue was whoever cleared him , imo opinion , could not do the required physical exam in addition have enough time to document and perform the standardized testing as certain parts of the neuro test ( most still use the scat 5 clinical form to standardize results and it has the most research behind it. You can google it as a layperson and see for yourself the actual form used and see if you honestly believe he was in that tent long enough to do the protocol , which has certain required time lapse memory checks ). It is not just the old tell me time , where are you , who is the president type of exam. It’s a scored protocol that must be completed in full to evaluate ones concussion risk. It can be done on an iPad and compared to the persons prior baseline. It can be done in a tent , but it does require time and usually it’s preferred to be in a quiet environment , It’s just very coincidental he finished the protocol completely just in time for second down after the turnover. Hmmmm? I was watching the game , and even turning a blind eye to the obvious that he was unconscious, which in this instance there were multiple witnesses see he experienced an associated classic whiplash / head banging off the turf , coup / contrecoup , or whatever you want to call it type head/ brain injury ; yet, he was on the bench quickly after he came around , and mostly they were looking at his chest and not doing a neuro exam until he was issued into the tent as far as all video evidence pointed too. But let’s say somehow they completed a true full protocol exam in the very limited time he was in the tent ( it seemed like 5-10 min at most in the tent but I could be wrong) , how can they explain ignoring the obvious loss of consciousness? So THAT IS NOT on the Bills imo, it’s whoever cleared him to return after the obvious LOC that he suffered. Athletes are not allowed to participate further the day of a concussion to prevent second impact syndrome, while rare , can be life threatening. This is about the competence of the independent examiner who failed to do their job competently. That really is something that should be investigated. It’s not much better than Tua being allowed to return in that notorious heat game as a reported back injury causing him to stagger. This is what the NFL is paying for and accepting as good neurological/ medical care for one of its brightest stars ? That’s pretty shameful as long as this protocol has been in place. Also , it’s not about playing Monday ( unless he is having symptoms like headaches but not reporting it to any staff ) because with no symptoms he would just progress every 24 hours thru the protocol. It’s about many neurologists and sports med docs seeing that on tv and knowing that was a violation of the standard of care for concussions and the unnecessary risk Josh was exposed to. Additionally, Sal was saying on his podcast that all guys use smelling salts and it’s no big deal. That is not true for someone with a head injury and like the author stated , they should not be offered to players being evaluated for recent head trauma. . A non injured player can use them if he wants to , but Sal is passing along misinformation casually as just normal sideline behavior. I like Sal , but he is misinformed on this issue and he was attempting to justify Josh going in was ok because he passed the protocol, and “ everybody has used smelling salts at some point , they’re used all the time “ etc, and because Sal is the first reporter who supposedly gets injury info on the sideline and he was adamant there was no issue as he was right there, and as the first reporter who gets player injury status in his sideline role, he saw no issue with the process. Sal is a good reporter , but when you are reporting misinformation about things like smelling salts use for a head injured player , saying Josh did the required protocol and was cleared , he is just saying the company line on a subject out of his area of expertise. Frankly that doesn’t help protect players in the future. This was a bad look for the Bills but mostly the NFL. This is not about the division title , SB, etc, and tho I haven’t given up on the season , as fans we should just want to see a great young man and qb have a long safe future. Go bills. Please don’t let the jests drag you into the abyss ! 😊✌️

Worst (regular season) coached game in the entire McD era
DrPJax replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
The amount of amazing losses associated with MCDS legacy continues to grow. Losing a game where you won the turnover ratio is hard enough to do. We got 3 points if two turnovers. Then we are gifted the ball with 30 seconds , really should be assured of ot , tho mcd loses all those as well, and he allows 19 seconds to go off clock w no time outs burned and no yards gained to make the Texans at least have to earn some yardage for the fg , not an automatic kick. MCD continues to lose every unique end game situation ; he may be the worst end game coach ever. No game is safe with mcd if any time is left on the clock. They were without Collin’s as well, after he burned the rookie safety, who has to know your main job was to not get beaten deep THIS TEAM IS ALMOST DEVOID of leadership other than a quiet Allen, who played terribly today,, but without weapons! And still has not changed from lading by sitting alone on the bench. That’s ok , it’s his style. But some games we end up losing to lesser.talent and it’s a yearly thing with uninspired quarters or half’s. Beane has saddled him with a very weak wr crew once again with Knox, sanders, hollins really disappearing to a point where they will end up getting Allen hurt as he won’t give up. So Beane needs to do something to protect Allen , Brady is not the savior. As each game passes , teams will take away the run more , while running on us and beating the sift zine in third downs as they have for 7 years. Also, the safety postion cost us our first gains as many predicted and will cost more if they stand pat. This type of repetition of poor, needless losses, is why KC plays most playoff games at home , and why they are trying to three peat as we keep chasing them. Home field advantage is huge , yet this staff is ok to give away games like today. One of the worst offensively coached games I can remember in a while, , like the Jax 10-3 or 9-6 games. Getting a fg after starting at the 13 of Texas was on Brady , like the endgame , and it’s the same things for almost 8 years. It’s similar poor coaching, and it’s embarrassing as a franchise. This is why the franchise and ALLEN , are not believed in as press waits for the inevitable I know it’s early in the season , but the same patterns keep showing up. Team tends to start slow , gets behind , presses , manages to close the gap, but loses with poor end game coaching. It’s entertaining, but usually only for parts of a game, while every year other staffs have seemed to innovate, like Detroit / Vikings this year, and despite a franchise qb , this regime has never approached the great 90’s teams. Lots of injuries , but same type of errors suggest the message might be getting old. -
Here in Ponte vedra; , so tired of the heat this year , just seemed like one of the hotter summers with temps in the 90’s even thru the nights. Getting an occasional few min of a breeze now feels really uplifting! When I moved here from Ohio in the mid 80’s , it seemed to predictably rain with a breeze every afternoon for about an hour , after which it would seem like the air was refreshed and it meant half the day was over and it helped energize everyone with a second wind of energy to get through the day. You could almost set your watch for it to happen around 2-3 pm daily! That disappeared around the late 90’s or so and now it’s just days of hot, muggy, rain and the sun just stays hidden in the clouds without that refreshing , blue sky popping back out to evaporate the mid day downpours that were frequent all summer. I miss that time , the air seemed so fresh back then. I am so relieved when the temps finally break consistently just before Halloween , and between then and New years is still my fav time of year as we jump from one holiday to the next, and seasonal decorations start appearing out of nowhere! . People just seem to be treating each other better as Christmas now starts appearing in stores even before Thanksgiving. Plus its great for sports as football season is in full effect, the World Series makes its presence known , and soon the NBA even wakes up! Great time to travel back North to home in Ohio, close to Pittsburgh and Wheeling wva, just to see the hills covered in all the colored tree leaves as well. Throw in watching the BILLS in prime time tomorrow , and things will be perfect if we can hang 3-0 up and stay even with the KC team that Atlanta decided to gift wrap another W for; they REALLY SHOULD HAVE LOST if not for the ATL refusing two gimme FG’s on their home field , even as their D WAS PLAYING WELL against KC ( sure wish Beane had tried to get Simmons at S ) and that tough run game augmented by Rice and worthy until Kelce gets going. Good teams beat who they are supposed to ; BALTIMORE continues to try giving leads away ( Jerry doesn’t look like he can take many more cowboy performances like that!) , Houston we have some issues, while Pittsburgh shows why continuity of the coaching staff really means something as they start 3-0 with Wilson riding the pine behind Fields! Man , ol coach CHUCKY gruden was saying how the crisp BUFFALO AIR WILL INVIGORATE THE JAGS RUSH as they come in desperate according to his error filled podcast , but the BILLS PLAY WELL IN FALL AIR AS WELL ! CHUCKY also mentioned Morse will pass over the d line calls, while Davis will fill in the jags dbs on all the nuances of the Bills passing routes and what they like to do ! CHUCKY looked like he was loaded on stimulants, or this forced retirement has ruined what was once at least a mildly entertaining post coaching frontal cortex of knowledge ! Let’s at least hope JOSH sets his own new record and starts this season with 0 ints in the first 3 games of a season and the Bills have Facenda’s autumn breeze aiding a TD to Coleman while steering a Jag pass short of Davis into the waiting arms of Benford or Rapp to send the Jags home with one more L ! Hoping for lots of support tomorrow night; stay safe , and we need to get that w , what’s more , we HAVE TO GET THAT W , so we keep our chances alive of at least stopping that 3- peat, if not even winning our own SB with a great AUTUMN START!

Bills vs Jags Game Week Thread - MNF
DrPJax replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wow, BILLS 2-0 vs JAGS 0-2. , which is a pleasant surprise. Have to admit , I didn’t expect the Bills to look this efficient yet , and I thought after watching the jags in preseason , they might be a real challenge just given their preseason play and what appeared to be a good running game. Not that the jags will be easy given how we play down to them , but after watching them today against the browns who looked terrible last week , the Jags came out and looked absolutely incompetent. They had a few good runs, few good scrambles but otherwise were really inept. Lawrence held the ball too long , but the o line couldn’t stop the rush even leading to a Late safety. I think we just have to be able to stop the run , not let Lawrence kill us with scrambles , and I don’t think they can keep up with Josh and the o if we play like last week. Their passing gams was not like it was in London , not really having deep threats. Gabe looked exactly like gabe, 3 or 4 catches but absent most if the game, He even got hurt on the final drive, taking himself out for a couple plays with a sore knee he got kneeling down trying to make a catch, as they were driving the field with 40 seconds left with a shot to win ( but it was just the browns making mistakes on both sides of the ball lol keeping it that close). The d even made Watson look somewhat like a qb again , and it just looked like another lackluster effort all around. Boo’ were raining from the stands many times thru the game as the Jags just looked like they had no energy and they looked unprepared. Really , it was not exciting or interesting to watch; more like just going thru the motions. We just can’t play down to their level , being MNF, should keep us from not playing like the much better team. This year just doesn’t feel like we willl take a game like this for granted like the last couple of years , and maybe that’s where our infusion of youth will keep us playing hungry. It would be a great chance to start the season really looking like we will keep pace with the Chiefs and that this team has a mental edge that is different enough to finally get them over that final mental obstacle. Should be a good game for a beautiful night in Buffalo ; I think we can even beat a very desperate Jax team, just jump on them early and I don’t see this Jax team coming back if down! Side note , man the cards are for real thumping the rams 41-10 in the 4 th and MHJ caught two td passes looking like a true 1 st rounder! Really shows how diff we are to have come back in that game! And to keep MHJ silent! Also enjoying the Chiefs making mistakes as bengals lead and just picked off mahomes with a fantastic one handed pick! Bengals just know how to play them , up 22-17 starting the 4 th in KC ! But KC still looks loaded w rice , worthy. , and very good backs. Omg , as I was typing , I Just jinxed Burrows as he fumbled and the chiefs returned a fumble to take the lead 23-22! What a game! Go Bills ON MNF,,, please don’t let Jax catch you looking past them,,,keep them desperate! ( bengals back up with a fg; man these teams both have lethal kickers. ) 😊✌️😎 -
Really will always like him as a former Bill and with Hyde was nothing but class here. He and Hyde always came out to take the press after stupid plays like 13 seconds and hail Murray. But tonight as cook and others kept sailing by him as he took poor angles, relying on speed that We all knew just wasn’t there any more ! I felt sad because it’s obvious his time has passed , and it reminded me of a hobbled Kelly leaving the field on a cart, yet I still also cherished Kelly running it in on the last play against the fibs early in his career. Guys like prime Poyer will always be what I remember about Bills football, classy and tough. Imperfect but loyal. Never missed a game while they were bills. But like Thurm, Bruce, and Andre, I couldn’t watch them in another uniform. I hope PO sees tonight’s film, and somehow, more gracefully that doing it at halftime, finds a way to retire before that game in Buffalo. When Rapp and Hamlin really deserve to be above you on the depth chart, man it’s time to just enjoy being around your beautiful wife ! Youve already won bro, enjoy your health as it’s one thing you can’t buy no matter how much $ you have! I hope Hyde watched tonight , and from a guy whose career was shortened by unsuccessful cervical surgery ( which can happen cuz there are no guarantees!), WALK away happy and healthy cuz you have no more to prove! Hey Bove, from buffalo sports ( does a pod with Sal) , this is why Hyde should never play again either! Father Time never loses! ✌️😊
