  1. It is when you’ve lost two games already to talent inferior teams. Was 31 points enough, or 20? The problem is too many points are still being left on the field , and Most of that is on Josh. As Jonn Fina just said on his podcast w Joe miller , Josh is looking off many wide open shorter route receivers, and esp did that during the Titans game. Yes his completion % was high at 77% or so , but there is no reason it could not have been 80% or more, and it cost us two fg in the red zone early. If we get tds there , 14-0 , makes it harder to keep using Henry. It felt like Josh wanted to prove he was the qb to expose the backup cbs of the Titans deep , ( Finas assessment, who btw is excellent to understand our line play and game plans in general) , rather than go to frequently open receivers like the backs. The next ti the last drive while leading and a chance to go up 2 scores was an example of hero Josh mindset rearing it’s head and he should be past that in his 4 th year now. He is capable of better , like against the WFT, and he has been great against weak teams with big margins fir error ( KC was a good game against a horrible defense ) Just need him to take the open backs when there during playoff time and not contribute to losing any more winnable games that will put us on the road for the playoffs Josh is an amazing talent, he just needs to remember it’s not all about going deep, it’s about efficiency and scoring and getting the backs involved adds another red zone threat. Will admit tho , I don’t trust motor very much in the passing game yet. I also think Daboll need to simplify all the packages in the red zone. No consistent identity and it seems no one is getting consistent reps to become proficient yet. Check out Finas podcast, it’s new, well done. Off tackle with John Fina I think! His rookie year was super bowl 27 in Pasadena. He was only called for 7 holding penalties in 9 years with the Bills, something amazing and proves how good technique is lacking on our current line! It’s a stat he is very proud of !
  2. Refs need to stay out if deciding this one! Hope it goes that way with no ridiculous PI calls
  3. May have been the players fault but I get your point, why even allow a chance of that !
  4. Next level smart coaching on both sides in chargers game. Chargers decision making is looking great. These offenses really look good.
  5. Cards still going to be unbeaten as hopkins catches another big late td.
  6. Wow, a little surprising after seeing him working out. Bills continue being very conservative. Would be nice playing the Chiefs with a healthy roster once.
  7. If there was no airway issue, then that’s no contraindication to playing. An airway issue compressing the trachea or larynx would be pretty obvious usually.
  8. Herbert is an amazing pure passing talent. Would like to see Josh be this consistent. Coaching with the chargers has a bright future Big difference from Anthony and now looks like the right choice over Daboll whom I thought was going to be a good fit here. Cleveland with great coaching looks amazing as well. Wish we coukd run like that ! Going to be tough out in playoffs.
  9. Those leg extensions and crossovers look really loose. Could be a good sign. Looks promising watching those movements.
  10. Might be a little concerning if we lose tonight. Titans are getting their rhythm back on O and looked good today. If we lose tonight, it sets up a deja vu scenario from last year and going into Tennessee will be a tough game. Probably depends on how we play should we lose tonight and injuries etc. Certainly 3-3 is possible. The AFC east is luckily terrible with only the Pats a possible challenger. They pulled out a lucky win today as Houston collapsed. We have some challenges coming up as New Orleans is getting into shape and Tampa will be favored over us because we can’t beat Brady yet. He is looking in complete control and that team looks like the Pats with him at the helm We will take our division tho because the gap in talent between us and the rest of the division looks insurmountable if injuries don’t change something. Lucky year to get back to the playoffs but was hoping for home field all the way and I really think tonight is the key. Tough loss we may be mentally vulnerable to repeat last years two game slide. Titans coming into the game confident and should we lose tonight p, I am pretty sure they will see this as a very winnable game at home given how they dominated us there last year.
  11. Coaching always looks better with talent. We have more talent with groot and star in there against the run this year. Hat also has allowed more depth in the interior line with zimmer and he has more experience this year as well. We’ll see if that plays out stopping the run today which would be a huge improvement over our last meetings with KC. That front line anchoring against the run is a huge factor as I see it tonight , esp is the weather is questionable. If KC can open things up with a good run game, it further opens up their passing attack and they just become unstoppable. If we get behind more than a score , Our O tends to press and they seem to make simple mistakes and penalties in that situation and KC can also shorten the game with a good running game. We will see if off season additions plus having Star back are enough to turn things around after last year. I hope Frazier and Sean don’t play conservatively and send some blitzes from a safety or occasional corner blitzes as well. Mahomes had no pressure last year so again, why not try something differet? I do believe our D. Is improved, but I have to admit our level of competition so far makes it hard to believe stats totally. My biggest game concern is how will Allen be affected in KC with that huge crowd. I have seen the 90’s teams go Into that environment and get totally pounded even on the way to one of their Super Bowls, so I am fearful this situation will be more than Josh is prepared for. He seems to grow every year and had not faced this environment in addition to the Super Bowl expectations for the team. I am kind of expecting to see that confused look on him at times if things start to unravel a little. If we get down more than a possession, I just think he presses and is prone to mistakes. The one way out of this is if we can play from being ahead and somehow win the turnover battle or get a defensive or special teams score. I just don’t have faith in the offense alone YET this year based on their struggles in the red zone. They had issues AT HOME against Houston , so I can’t expect this to be solved in this situation. I hope I’m wrong , but I think this game IN KC is going to prove too much for Josh on this trip, unless our D actually is as real as the stats would lead us to believe. The playoffs may be different for us tho as by then perhaps our O is in sync and has fixed the red zone issues and we don’t rely on Bass.
  12. Best wishes and good luck! Hope the Sunday night game chills your own pre game jitters! Hope the Bills give you a great , cheerful, serenity as you head in to surgery the following morning and. I am confident you are headed to better days and more comfortable pacing as the Bills keep marching themselves toward that elusive super bowl!
  13. That is actually a good prognostic sign. If it takes longer than one day to be able to walk or ambulate normally , that usually correlates with a more significant injury and longer recovery time and return to play time. Hamstrings function is to decelerate the leg while running or cutting , so if he actually jogged or was allowed to jog it means he was not having significant pain or soreness during a time when greeter force is being used with muscle contraction. Hamstring injuries like another poster stated, are rarely one week injuries as two week recovery times are even felt to be rapid. I was surprised to see there is a long term study with minor hamstring injury in NFL players ( 13 years , 58 players) ) that showed a steroid injection in the area lead to quick recovery, return to play, and was not associated with any long term risks of reinjury or other adverse effects ( surprising since it has been thought that steroid injections can deteriorate muscle tissue; usually don’t do steroid shots in muscle injuries for regular non athletes ) He will probably get an mri or ultrasound to see the extent and then return is based on clinical factors like having no pain with testing or running. So seeing him already walking or jogging MAY be hopeful for next week. Good catch seeing that! 👍😀 We can only hope !
  14. I agree , just from the way he was trying to guard as he was hopping away, it looked like he was pretty hampered and didn’t want to plant or put weight on it. Almost looks like someone who felt something pop or give suddenly vs feeling a strain, tightness develop. Looks can be deceiving tho, but pretty sure he will be getting an mri soon for diagnostic \ prognostic reasons. Figures as Hill gets going with 3 tds, we are shuffling our o line ; poyer, Johnson,Feliciano, now milano ( who is the most concerning since this is new) with questions as we have to travel to play in KC for third straight game against them and it feels like KC still has an edge going into the game. Our d line has not gotten sacks despite the pressures and I’m not sure that’s enough against Mahomes who is obviously leaps beyond all the QBs we have faced so far this year. Have we closed the gap enough since last year in the area ( getting to Mahomes) that both Sean and Beane felt was the key to taking the next step and actually beating Kc ? Just hoping we could have our regular starters in as Milano has stepped up his leadership and game this year and it’s terrible timing for a slow healing injury. Wishing him a speedy recovery so we don’t see a two game slide like we did last year. Sure didn’t look great at first glance.
  15. Come on now people, it’s 2021! ! Famous coach revered in Ohio sitting in his bar, who has been known for compromising his health for football previously, probably had his guard down a little after a couple of drinks in a familiar environment, and people are always throwing themselves at the very successful and so some random chick is being edged on by her friends etc. With social media and narcissism being the status quo, I bet this is the norm these days with most in his position ( I mean Jimmy Johnson, Jerry, pats owner, etc are all guys with “ compromising pics out there) and why judge a little flirting when no one knows the relationship strength with his wife who reaps plenty of benefits from his success, and jump to saying he is “ cheating” when it went no where close to that. Maybe not the best PR stuff, but the NFL season is consuming and why jump on a guy so hard when a little down time is probably healthy and I just bet about 90% of men have done a little flirting at some point in their life. He is human, not perfect , and all these critics live in glass houses as far as I am concerned. It’s none of their business and just trying to post things to harm someone says a lot about the posters as much as it does for those they are trying to shame. The guy has a good family , is a leader, great at his profession, and so now he is not allowed to have a little let down moment without being ridiculed as a cheater etc,,,,,,give me a break. We are so willing to judge others yet forget our own character flaws. He is not at a massage parlor, not caught doing anything more than flirting, and what has he ever personally done to you to affect or harm you in real life that you are so eager to see him experience harm or character attacks? Jealousy drives attacks like this and what benefit does one get if this did cause marital stress for him; does that make you a better person because someone else made a mistake? Flame me all you want, but at 64 years old I see this as such a non issue In the big scope and never want to see others judged to feel better about myself because it never really works that way. It’s between he and his wife and it seems things have worked well a long time. We should all be so fortunate and I hope you all are, wishing you a great day watching the Bills and hoping for nothing but positive in your life as it’s a too fast, short experience! 😀🍸
  16. Sorry but I was at both 27 in Pasadena ( Michael Jackson was the halftime show and I was there listening to him warm up). I was actually get it ready to post about selling some memorabilia I got at the nfl auction at that super bowl on here. Then the next year 28 , I actually took mu parents to the Georgia dome and the half time show was all country performances. Bills were up at half and I went to get some stuff to eat etc, and halftime was not memorable. I do remember how the half started and then Thurman fumbling again and from that point he was out of the game mentally. Went to the NFL experience both years before the games and that’s how I got the memorabilia NFL auction. I was looking at stuff and Michael Jackson was in a tent right. Next door in Pasadena playing stuff of the thriller album! Will never forget 27 as the setting was beautiful ( terrible game) halftime was amazing. No way to easily leave seats in the rose bowl as you have to completely leave thru tunnels under ground to get to concession stands and people are really packed into tiny seats there. The Georgia dome was not so impressive and the dummies set off fireworks with tons of smoke pregame and the haziness never cleared to almost halftime. Yep , check google and history again , but you are mixing up performers. Have lots of pics from the Pasadena game because that setting is amazing. Had crazy experiences at both ( met jags owner Wayne weaver in Atlanta , had MEAN JOE GREENE , come up to my girlfriend on the plane flight to Pasadena and literally ask , as he was smiling , for her autograph because she looked like a young Hilary Clinton and she was on the cover of a mag he was reading at the time ! Haha!). Forgive me for correcting things but being at both was a great personal time for me and I still remember them because of the Bills and those amazing trips to those games. Best wishes, at least we both know how it felt coming out of those stadiums after the games ,,,,terrible !
  17. He may chose to bet on his own perception of his talent and if he and his agent think the Bills offer is too low, I doubt he leaves any money on the table. If I were him I would bet another team courts me with the idea of using me in a different position or way , like olb as I believe he played at Virginia tech, and he may actually really thrive in a different role than Sean has him pegged in. It’s funny how much Sean experiments along the OL and DL with rotation or changing positions of players but he has been steadfast on MLB for Edmunds and that’s about it. My bet is you’re right about him wanting money ( pro bowl etc) , but I just don’t think he is irreplaceable and if Beane can’t fit him in where it makes sense, I would hope they look at his actual production and move on. It’s obvious so far who the D suffers most without, Milano, and I think there are enough fast , sideline to sideline LBs coming out of the college game in early rounds. Other teams are doing well ( Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Carolina, etc) drafting and again depending on the $, he might not be around unless he has a great year and the team get to the super bowl. We need turnovers from the D , which was missing frequently last year. We will be lucky to. Have the same success this year if we don’t produce turnovers ( good game against Miami, but Edmunds wasn’t responsible for those ), and his inability to create those is another thing to watch this year regarding his future.
  18. I did just see and read that post about TE you talked about. Nice post. Kind of a wash. He seems like a great guy, good teammate ,and able to make D calls. The only plays that I don’t get is watching him not be able to disengage and see a lineman pushing him 10 yards downfield. I guess I just expected more power from a guy with his size. Obviously Sean knows what he wants more than I will ever know. I do wonder tho if he could be a special edge rusher with his speed , size , flexibility and maybe be in a position more times to turn the game in the Bills favor than what he does dropping into coverages etc.
  19. Lol, that’s good cuz it’s about the only way he gets his hands on a football ! Lol,, guy is just not as impactful as you might expect. If Sean thinks he is what he really wants there , it’s surprising they have not tried to really lock him up then more than the next year. It is a little thought provoking when he is gone for a half and there is no big drop off with backups behind him. Can’t say that about Milano who looks to really be the impactful lb of our defense. Maybe he got the game ball for recovering from heat exhaustion and severe dehydration!? I would respect that because those are serious, life threatening, and hard to recover from. Just kidding around, always respect your posts, just wondering if most think Edmunds is what you expected him to be ? I wish we could see him as an edge rusher more because I think he could be an all pro used in that manner.
  20. If you’ve never been a coal miner , maybe you should temper saying things could get worse. I mean, what’s next , saying you could be a miner without arms? Let’s not get ridiculous. Just saying , at 21 he is a man out of collage, earning a large living. He is not a “ kid” at this point in life. He is playing a sport kids can play tho. He worked hard to get there and deserves all the good for that hard work. Along the way in real life you will face some bad. It’s how you face that and respond that allows you to grow as a person in real life , with family and those who are around you and whose life you are influenced by and influence. My point was who should ever care what a reporter asks , writes , etc as long as you are doing what your job description is and what you are getting paid for. If he was unemployed, no one would be asking about ghosts and his real life issues would be much more concerning. He can smile every day walking away from the reporters and podium because he has a bright future that he has worked to pursue and no silly question can impact the thing he has control over, his own future. Nothing the reporter does affects his likability that you seem concerned about. The reporter did nothing to physically “attack” ( your word) or hurt him in any tangible way unless Wilson was emotionally bothered and I can assure you , real life will offer bigger threats to ones mental health. I only reacted to point out , as a poster are you honestly concerned that somehow being asked about ghosts by a reporter will have some real negative impact on Wilson ? Reporters ask lots of silly questions. Just asking a silly question doesn’t make the reporter a jerk , anymore than being good at football makes you a “ good” person. There are bigger issues in real life, just look around; why be concerned about a silly question and it appeared Wilson was smiling. Hardly someone who needs to be protected from a “ jerk” reporter ( not my description of the reporter ). We are getting soft as a society! Lol ! Have a great day.
  21. I feel fine. Yep , even better as I don’t let a reporter questioning someone I have no real contact with in life bother me. As with your comment , it has no effect on me in real life as there are way bigger issues. Yep, I feel fine.
  22. Look, he could be digging ditches somewhere, being a coal miner or steel worker , or an orderly in a hospital facing covid exposure daily. If he can’t handle getting asked a question by a reporter with zero impact on his real life , he needs to grow up and be an adult. Adults face real danger and risks daily and work very hard for very little return compared to these NFL guys who many times have been pampered because of their athletic talents. . I’m sorry , but I know too many other people in life dealing with bigger life issues than facing a sarcastic reporter. If that really bothers you , maybe you need to look in a little deeper and appreciate real issues in life. Sorry to be blunt , no offense intended , but really is Wilson’s emotional health a true concern you have? Guy gets paid a lot of money to play, answer questions ( that can’t hurt you in real life unless you are lying under oath), and he is an entertainer, nothing more, nothing less.
  23. He might be , I have no idea as I don’t personally know him. If he is one, it’s certainly not on a football field! Softest 6’5” mlb I have ever watched of years of watching the NFL. ( that might even effect the off the field stuff! LoL!) He is a finesse guy. Thought it might change as he added muscle mass under nfl training. I don’t see it. I still see linemen 10 yds downfield blocking on a screen and pushing him 10 more yards and flattening him! ( against Pittsburgh) At this point he is physically what he is as it’s unlikely his body will legally add much more muscle mass. He might be great mentally too. But unfortunately football is just not a mental game. Our d did not fall off last year when he was out ( may have been worse as he nurtured his shoulder) and it certainly didn’t fall off In the second half. Klein held up well, as did the others. Milano is the real inspiration and leader with both physical and intelligent play. How can a guy his size make repeated hits that separate guys from the ball and I can’t remember even one really significant time Edmunds has done that. They are so enamored with his size , they give him leeway with results. He is not a big play guy, can’t catch the ball , and he just is not “impactful”. We suffer if milano goes down , not when Edmunds is out. I would be looking next year to replace him if you get a shot at the right guy in the draft. Good guy, avg mlb/lb IN THIS SYSTEM AS HE IS USED. If they turned him into an edge rusher , I think he would be a totally different and impactful player. Maybe Buffalo is not the system for him if they can’t find ways to make a naturally gifted guy like him significant. And I don’t want to hear the pro bowl argument, we all know it is significantly a popularity award.
  24. I rarely complain about calls as they tend to even out. But I rewatched the game and focused on two pass plays. The one where trey was defending and the guy still caught the ball along the right sideline ( clay pool) . White did not turn his head around ever, Charles Davis mentioned it, but trey had his hand in between claypools trying to pry the ball free yet the guy still made the catch as the ball was not under thrown. No flags ! Then watch Levi on that play where he draws a flag. Great coverage , ball was slightly under thrown but not like 3-5 yards as the receiver still had a chance to catch or make contact with the ball. In slow mo you actually see Levi look straight up and over his right shoulder as that arc of the ball coming in and he put his hands up just as the receiver reached up. Levi did not create the contact , and it was slight contact to say the least. Levi had his hands up and did make contact with the ball. The ref who had the worst view threw the flag. But looking at the two plays side by side , there was no difference in technique. Trey did not look back or Locate the ball any more than Levi did. Claypool just mad an amazing catch. My point is that Levi actually had great coverage , but got hit with a terrible call imo and was penalized because the throw was poor but actually the receiver had the same chance to catch the ball as claypool did. That call sealed the game as Pitt got a fg and lead was back to 10. It’s inconsistent calls like that which influence the outcome of a game that are infuriating. Watch those two plays together and see what you think. Could Mcd have challenged that call , I don’t remember the time, but it was a possession changing call really?! We really never seemed to have many calls go our way that game. Hard to feel like Pitt deserved that win outside of the blocked punt.
