Not gonna lie, it's hard to take him seriously as an elite QB with that hairdo

Lol. Dude spends more time flipping his hair than 90% of female Jag fans.  The  high humidity down here has resulted in several bad hair days and if you have to keep trying to find the right “:product” to maintain that trademark “ bounce” , its impossible to go head first or hurdle cuz he has to get ready to flip the “do”  appropriately as soon as that helmet comes off on the sideline!  I think he has finally found something that works as the hair flips perfectly now , and the helmet is coming off less now as drives are ending in the no split end zone (tm) and he is smiling now!  ( air is cooler now and much less humid as well !) Its a breakthrough and he is the best coiffed QB in the NFL ( no frizz league) and he’s much happier with Urban no longer around confusing him with all those Blondes just asking for selfies!

I’m a tad concerned  he may wear out those cervical discs tho if that o keeps hitting the no split end zone and he may need to shorten that mop  to avoid all the unavoidable high humidity effects when they are driving toward POOL END of the stadium!  Soon there should be a new chain of Salons with the first one opening poolside here in our “ football” stadium!   No distractions allowed in this football first Rebel Riviera!   👍

  2. Warner was a prototypical pocket passer who was immobile. Qb play has changed. Kurt is consistent in his pointing out flaws he always sees with Josh’s style of play. Even Rex Ryan said do not coach Josh “ down” !   Warner does not want to acknowledge his time has passed and I think he only believes his way is the correct way to play qb.  I like Kurt , but his analysis of Josh is always the same , critical analysis and it’s tiresome.   When did Kurt leap for a drive sustaining first down or run 50:yards?  He also had three other hof guys playing with him, including Faulk.
He is always critical of the Bills ; one must have critiqued his wife’s “ unique” hair styles at some point, as most women from the mafia at least look very feminine while having good football knowledge!  Lol!  Kurt needs to get rid of that dam Michelin coat he wears and accept Josh is the type of qb / athlete who will surpass Warner’s passing stats while also being a complete “ football “ player , not just a pocket passer.
Some guys can’t accept someone being a superior athlete at their  position, Kurt strikes me as that guy. It’s time for guys like him and Bradshaw to move on. The game has given them life changing wealth so like all careers , it’s time for new generational talent. Let’s see them succeed in other fields or just go enjoy your families.  These networks hold on to stale talent and wonder why these pregame shows are criticized.   There should be term limits for these old athletes who played in a different era , just like term limits are needed for politicians like the senate and congress as it has lead to the same ineffective bottom line. 😊🎄

Exactly what this offense has been searching for the 2nd half of the season, and one would hope what the organization envisioned when giving him a handsome extension: a dangerous mismatch for defenses devoting extra attention to Diggs. While Davis, understandably, suddenly became everyone's favorite WR2 prospect following his historic KC playoff explosion, I'd argue that Knox breaking out would be even more beneficial.

Contrary to many of our well-honed eye tests, Davis IS having a pretty solid WR2 season (minus catch %). But man how great it would be if Knox continues to ascend.

Here is Erik Turner's breakdown of Knox's night against Miami:

Most analysts are comparing us to offenses who are hard to stop when they get a viable third option.  For example miami with their two wrs and now running backs / game   ( btw even rexy and that group said that loss was on the fins coach for not calling runs on three critical  third downs and they said the bills were out coached and game planned that night !   Also they see the bengals with chase , Higgins , and mixon as more dangerous than the bills current offense.  It’s true. Josh / Diggs are superstars and hard to stop. We need that running back as opposed to knox to have a consistent run  game to really close out games and make the o less predictable. Plus they were very critical of Mcd having been there over 5 years and not having stabilized the o line.  Those are fair critiques , so don’t rip me.

Beane / Mcd have to address theses issues as we have seen teams close the gap , and these people are even predicting cincy gets the 1 seed which would be no small matter.this year ! They do have injury issues now so that evens things a little. But while we have Josh , they do need to fix this o as it’s not as supportive for josh  or as good as it COULD BE.  We have the qb to be unstoppable and yes we lost three games by 8 points , but only one of those type losses in the playoffs keeps you from a Lombardi!  We should not delude ourselves , this o is having problems and without Josh , we are an average team ( not my words , from Rex and Pats ex LB. )   Others noticing we were out coached by younger less tenured coaching staffs may be valid that  our chance to be that dynasty we deserve to see while we have Josh , who we waited for over 17 years, could be being mishandled. I think they made fair points.  A loss is a loss regardless of margin and yet we have the qb and  the potential to be dominant.

Buffalo shouldn’t waste this time , as we can’t not progress as the others may move past us. Mcd being a d minded coach , drafting that way, needs to re think how to be the best version of this team.  Just opinions from others as we squeaked out a win Saturday. I love Mcd as the ciach to lead thus franchisee forward , but it is concerning watching first year guys compete already with his roster. I hope he and Beane learn you can dominate with this qb with a great offense and nit keep so focused on drafting so much defensively oriented !

  4. Nfl cares ! Early detection for prostate and colon cancer in the wake of delayed screenings because of Covid!  I personally would have volunteered to help catch up screenings for breast lumps / cancer, but I have always admired Harry and his willingness to be so community minded! He is a much better man than me!  I see an opportunity to develop a new type of disposable glove for lineman , not so tacky so it’s harder to grab balls ( not for receivers!) !  Nothing beats prevention and early detection!   😊🎄Who wants to invest ? 👍😀

I thought that snowballs aimed at the Dolphins bench were fair game because the Dolphins sat our team in the  roasting sun in the game earlier in the year.  The whole thing has a nice Heat Miser Cold Miser dynamic that seems fair to me.  But I didn't see too much of the quid pro quo aspect mentioned in the media - did I miss it?  Just to be transparent I was reprimanded a few times by  authority types about my snowball throwing in 4th and 5th grade but have been clean for the last 50+ years - I always thought that was about average for growing up in Buffalo.

I loved mcds comments when in the presser he was asked if he should have gotten on the PA like Sam Wyche did with his famous “ this isn’t Cleveland “ statement when he coached the Bengals.  Mcd laughed and said with this crowd I’m not sure that may not have just encouraged them !  That was classic.  Mcd was pretty funny post game., esp about flattening Josh’s tires if that end of half pass didn’t result in a Td and josh had better hoped he heard cheers as Josh slid down at the end of the play.  Man if that play went for zip , Josh would have had his butt chewed by Mcd  and rightfully so. Haha!  It’s one of those ,,no, no, no, no,,,,,yeah , great throw !

We got fortunate there and had lots of mistakes where we could have lost ( like the fumbles and busted coverages) , so Mcd letting off a little humor about t6e snowballs was pretty funny. He also said he was worried dolphin fans would throw snowballs and we would get penalized and it was good to see the home fans enjoying themselves.  This guy is the perfect coach for Buffalo and I hope he stays a long time!

I don’t like games decided by PI but to me that was text book yet you can always make arguments when you are biased.  I did notice the bills got away with some stuff on hill but it’s also true there are dozens of I called penalties on both teams in every game.  Anyway this is fun.   These guys are in a full melt down.

    https://finheaven.com/threads/disgusted-by-the-refs.376255/

When they didn’t call the offensive pi when the receiver pushed white with both arms extended right in front of the ref , it’s pretty hard to take any complaints they have about Pi seriously. How many times were their drives extended by penalties as well?  We all remember how many times Bills dbs have been flagged for not turning their heads around this season , so I can’t see how a ref could ignore calling pi on that mckenzie play.

Haha!  Just a new hoodie not washed or shrunken in yet! Plus that red challenge flag , his play calling card, all the wires from the headphones , and thermal underwear!   No way is that from all the food around the office and training table ! Lol,,,I thought the same thing seeing that side profile of him walking the sideline.  Head coaching prob can reinforce some stress habits , but then you see fit guys like Mcd and you can have access to world class training and dietitians too, so hopefully he will take better care of himself as he is pretty young and seemed like a great guy.  Having gotten to the pinnacle of your career , it’d be nice to enjoy it for many years !

Even with the Hyde/Von injuries, the defense has far too much talent & investment to have such poor performances against good offenses in big games.

I don’t care that they can shut down the Jets or Patriots.. Cool, fantastic.

You won’t shut down a good offense, but at least show that you can impose your will at times.

I agree with your point about shutting down mediocre teams with mediocre Qb’s. However , you can’t just ignore the loss of an all pro safety like Hyde. He makes plays whereas now we are left with Hamlin. We made Tua , who had two prior terrible games, never had a good game in cold weather , look very good as we got torched on two long Tds and several other chunk passing plays. The miscommunication was never so obvious as when Poyer was caught looking at the possibility of run even with Edmunds calling it out and Hamlin was out of position after looking at the replay. Again , with Hyde that prob never happens. Hamlin continues to take poor pursuit angles as well.  He is talented , but he is not Hyde. He is still learning.

Also it’s hard to just ignore the loss of Von, a Hof certainty , 2x SB winner, and our prior sack leading edge. He is not replaceable. Beane didn’t give him 120 mil because he was like Epenesa or Boogie , or Groot right at this moment. Tua was almost never under duress and stood back going thru his reads. He also escaped sacks as we have no edges with enough closing speed to make up for losing Von. He was brought in as a closer for the Chiefs , he had a def effect in that game , and we are now worse off without him. You can't just drop premiere talent and replace it with less experienced , rotating guys who were never  regular starters and expect the defense not to suffer. 29 points to a Tua led offense is proof , esp at home in the snow.
Jones and Settle have been good along with Oliver’s development so that helps offset losing von somewhat and helps against interior runs. But right now without Hyde , without Von, I think we are more vulnerable agaist Qb’s like Mahomes / Jalen Hurts unless Frazier adjusts his scheme and keeps bringing Milano , Edmunds , Johnson, Poyer against Mahomes and  the Chiefs , and considers an extra Lb like Klein against better rushing game plans.like the Pats use.

This company is disgusting to it's workers, the environment, to competition and just in general. I don't care how good of a streaming service they have, no way for me but that's just my opinion and if yours differs from mine then that's ok too, everyone has different values/beliefs.

Not taking a side ; have to mention other huge companies like Walmart , Amazon have had many employee complaints of abuse / mistreatment. I worked for an urgent care owned by senator Rick Scott of fl and a co - owner I don’t want to mention. They struck a deal with Walmart to put clinics in their centers. I had read many complaints about employe treatment.  I naively asked if it was wise to associate with companies with a poor rep like that. Quickly learned it was only about market exposure and future profit ,  to never question about rep again ! Lol !

Seems like a common theme with most large companies. I mean they are all willing to be in China for $ , so I don’t think expecting morality from any of these  large companies is a given. It’s sad , wish it was a myth or fixable , but if they tolerate things like the CCP, I don’t see the avg football watching American making a stand. Sadly it’s chose your poison , or vote for better leaders. 😉🎄

This is concussion #6. At what point does he hang it up? Could it be… now?

I so hope he is healthy, fully cleared, and able to return soon.

I am fairly certain the expert known widely for  his work on PTE, would tell Morse to never play another down.( have seen him tell players this before) Very PERSONAL decision tho.  It is usually a factor that not only after more concussions do they occur more easily , the post concussive symptoms may linger more. He obviously needs to pass the cognitive testing and protocol.

I feel for him; so young and perhaps his  prior focus in life for so many years could be taken away out of his hands depending on advice and testing.  Great character guy, quiet leader with class ! Honestly in my T&p’s even tho I just know him from games/ podcasts. Hard to tell completely also as I don’t think anyone saw what impact caused it , but could be I just missed it taking my dog out during the game at times.

Never though I would have to write this..

First and foremost congratulations to the Minnesota Vikings, hell of an accomplishment.

Bills comeback is much more impressive:

-Bills comeback was in the playoffs, versus a good team, not a 4-8-1 team with an interim coach (if you can even consider Jeff Saturday that lol).

-Bills were without their HOF QB Jim Kelly and HOF RB Thurman Thomas, in an era where RBs were about as important as QBs.

-Bills comeback occurred when scoring points was much more difficult and the league didn't cater to offense.

What bothers me most is that when the record books will show largest comeback 33 points/Minnesota Vikings and they won't know any of the context behind the Bills Comeback.

It upset me as well because after that comeback game I went to that SB, 27, in Pasadena cuz I knew they COULD NEVER lose three in a row!  Lol!   I was also reminded back then there was no 2 point conversions either !   Bills comeback still the best , how ironic Frank’s Colts allow someone to erase his record!  I saw a a guy say Saturday needs to be the first interim coach fired on Sunday !  Lol! I am with you!

    Hard with shorter legs.

He is a free agent next year and it would not hurt for him to work with Don Beebe House of Speed which will teach him how to best utilize what he has.

Don was on a podcast on YouTube this week with prior guy who was in Bills front office ( sorry I forget name off top of my head ). It was a great interview. He said he ran his 40 in a pair of “ fishing shoes , one with a loose flap”.  Being from small school he had no agent , no new shoes , lucky to be at combine!  He ran with the defective shoes and later it was either polian who told him his time ( or a scout who ended up leaving him the stop watch he was timed with as sadly the guy passed and don still using that stop watch to time his players he coaches now!) and  Don said his time was 4.23 !   Beebe said he is mostly remembered for the Leon Lett play. Guy is amazingly humble and faith based!  Worth the 40 min listen. 👍🎄

Last week was terrible and tonight was just as bad. This defense especially the DB's have gotta improve.  They made Mostert look like Barry Sanders. Our entire D just didn't look inspired tonight.

Poyer said exactly those things in post game presser.  “ we need to improve , tackle better, and there are things we want back”.  So that’s from an elite , pro bowl safety.  But this is apparently inappropriate to even discuss any negatives the players themselves mention.  Stats are great , but mean nothing in an individual game ; any given Sunday ( or Saturday 😊) right?
Based only on stats we should have never been behind , right, but stats do not reflect individual situations , just a later overall picture. Is that incorrect?  But I guess any critique , even those validated by players and coaches , are not appropriate discourse? I think there is a name for only tolerating one ideology, one train of thought. I believe there are countries based on that principle  , but I could be wrong as I am only human. The d did make some good stops at the end under pressure, so that’s good! 😀👍

Happy holidays, stay safe , please value your health as it can be fleeting!  Go Bills, happy Sunday to enjoy the win! 🎄

Poyer, I can see.  That’s my dude.  But he’s a safety.

edmunds- I wouldn’t argue about who’s better.  Both similar talents playing different positions.  Both stars now.

white-  Rousseau is clearly the better player based on their play this year….and that’s what I’m talking about.  Play this year.  Rousseau has been a game changer.  White hasn’t.

i say this because I’ve focused on solely him and rewatched every snap he’s taken since returning from injury.  He’s made massive strides since last year.  Unless you really focus on him, I don’t think you can see how dominant he’s been.

Milano is the star of this D. Hyde & poyer as a tandem are elite.  White can’t be compared here as he has played 1 full game and we need to evaluate him mid season next year after a full time period to fully recover. However , He has proven to be a very good #1 corner , played 100% of snaps in the past , so he was more impactful before than a rotational DE. Edmunds is now very good , the d still drops off moreso if Milano is out ( teams ran all over us when he was out in past  seasons and Milano has been very consistent whereas this is by far Edmunds best year ). It’s a Great trend for Edmunds who I think will continue to improve , and the two LBs together are evolving stars. ( parsons from the cowboys is an example of an elite superstar Lb)

Groot is really taking leaps and he has huge potential. John Fina , played left ot for 10 years for the Bills, so I trust his evaluation as he practiced against Bruce, thinks Groot is really progressing as he is still learning how to use his body as he grows into it. Fina suggests he still needs to continuing working on his speed moves , and thinks he would actually come off the ball faster with a single hand down . So Groot is progressing well and can become a dominant , perhaps elite player but it’s only his second year and he still has areas to grow and needs more counter moves than just his power.  Fina did say he would  like to see him get lower and get his pads lower at times as offensive lineman who do get under his pad level can neutralize him.  Just a way to say he is not elite yet and he shouldn’t be facing expectations of being another Bruce. Miller said he can become dominant and he is having a good year so hopefully his progress continues.

Using a term like elite is HOf talent like Bruce and Reggie White , so he shows potential but sack total alone is not the sole thing  that qualifies an edge player  as elite.   He is perfect for this system and making progress and that’s what you hope for.  Bruce wasn’t elite in his second year , experience plays a huge role in the NFL and he’s getting that while increasing his knowledge. It’s only year two and imo it’s not fair or accurate to say he’s the best player on the D ( I think that was stated here somewhere , but I could be wrong )  as he is growing into the position. It’s great to support players on the team but you have to be aware of Bias and if pros who played see room for improvement I trust that over the TBD scouts.

I dont need them to run more, but I sure as heck need them to utilize the short passing game if they A. Refuse to Run and B. The defense is playing a 2 high shell.

They have to start taking what the defense is giving them.  The insistence to try and force it down the field when they offensive line cant block worth a dang drives me absolutely nuts!

I think you make a great point,  but look at all the drops on short passes today ( knox, motor, mckenzie killed two drives on short passes right in his hands , and early Josh was off even missing a quick slant to Diggs,) I will watch the all 22 but I don’t remember Josh throwing many deep balls at all today. If they don’t have so many drops , the offense looks a heck of a lot better.  This o line also killed drives with holding penalties again.  Like you said tho, at other times Josh seemed to go back to holding the ball longer as he was going thru reads ; will be interesting to see if guys were free on shorter routes and if he chose again to not take the short routes waiting for longer ones to open.

Watching how much Miami is blitzing tonight looks worrisome as this o line struggles protecting Josh. Next week they better have ways to get the ball out quickly , like even using Smoke in the slot as he and Josh had good chemistry on quick slants I think.  But they can’t keep having the drops and penalties or the fins will really be more of a problem. Man,They send guys relentlessly, so the receivers have to help Josh , including the backs as hot routes.  It hurts both the pass and run game with lack of a good  2 nd tight end as well , as Gilliam has not contributed much as a receiver recently. Dorsey needs to have a good game creatively next week ( like the great 4 th down call today) because I just don’t see the fins only sending 4 and we can’t have guys untouched right in Josh’s face immediately all night.

It would be interesting  if the Bills can somewhat mimic what  they did in the first game ( 90 offensive plays) and take the short stuff early , the Fins D will wear down and can be run on later.  The big issue tho , is ball security either by running more or receivers actually not dropping passes for us to handle the fins , and hope our corners, LBs , and safeties are healthy going into the game.

third best in the league is ELITE. he will be missed

    Better, but meh

    PR/KR 2022: Nyheim Hines

    PR/KR 2021: Isaiah McKenzie

    Slight Upgrade

    Other important considerations:

    - Bills are currently the #1 seed. They were 7-6 at this point last season.

    - The Chiefs are arguably the Bills biggest threats this year in the AFC and they lost Tyreek Hill.

    - The Bills have looked absolutely dominant for the vast majority of the season.

So ... RIGHT NOW, better team, better record, better seeding, arguably worse competition.

Why are we even talking about 2021 as our best chance or last chance?

Well , I guess if you want to call coming from behind with 23 seconds left dominant , we see things differently.  We also were never 1-2 in the AFC east and only lost in a blizzard to the pats in the east last year. Yes we are the 1 seed now, but we have a tough schedule with the much improved Jets( who beat us with a 2nd year coaching staff and qb who has been benched for underperforming)  very. Competitive fins ( who beat us with a rookie head coach, not very Belicheck like) and peaking Bengals ( who have played in one more Super Bowl with their staff than ours and have 3 wins over KC leading to thatSuper bowl ) all left to play.  Two of those teams , the fins and Bengals have good passing attacks, exactly the thing Miller was brought in to help close games out against.

So the Chiefs lost hill , but he has done better and plays on the team that beat us this year , against our weaker safeties according to your own breakdown.  He actually set up the game winning td beating those safeties you rated as a SIGNIFICANT downgrade!  We can’t lose to them again and Expect to hold the 1/seed and coukd easily drop to a wildcard team.  Wildcard teams seldom win superbowls.

Josh has lead the league in ints which I don’t think happened last year.  He also is likely playing with an elbow more likely to affect and could easily be  more easily injured again , especially behind this line who is having issues staying healthy. So Josh may not yet be the same as last year. The o line, outside of health , has had technique issues if you believe prior Bills pros Fina and ostroski. Not sure that’s an improved area. Brown also did not play with back surgery last year, do you actually think he has been better this year ?

We have a rookie OC.  I would call that a slight downgrade come playoff time where experience plays a larger role. Our lack of scoring tds in the second half and red zone inefficiency with more turnovers is concerning.

I agree we have a better record now , but WORSE competition just doesn’t make sense as we still face two teams who beat us this year but not last year , and a sneaky good Bengals team ( away I think ) who will prob be leading their division and playing for seeding. Again these are good passing teams and now our sack leader , the guy brought in to “ close “ games by getting sacks ( and he is our sack leader) is gone for the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs when we MIGHT  once again face mahomes in KC , whom Miller was specifically paid to solve mahomes escaping the pocket and making off platform plays. Additionally , Reid has had mcds and our DC’s number in playoff time.

I do agree our run game may be improving right at the perfect time. We need that to offset our receiving corp performing about the same as last year when we were expecting significant improvement. Diggs tho is responsible for the majority if that as he is having an all world year!  The balanced attack we saw against the Pats , if continued , could really answer be a huge boost in our chance for playoff success.

The bottom line tho is the W/ L record and by that measure we are better , but that’s just a snapshot in time and we have our toughest schedule ahead and have yet to play a full game without Von!  Your arguments about seeding, worse competition, our record , etc are all theoretical at this point and COULD all be the exact opposite of what you are using as an argument!  The 13 seconds was a real thing , real lead, with us playing the afc championship at home if we held on those 13 seconds !  So talk to us about how good our actual chances are when we get an afc championship game AT HOME, because until we are leading again with the next game being the championship game at home in Buffalo , YES , SO FAR THAT WAS OUR BEST CHANCE TO GET BACK TO THE SUPERBOWL!   2021 was our best chance in years , as we were never really close to winning the afc championship game in KC the year earlier. In contrast, Josh had Played two almost perfect playoff games in 2021!

That doesn’t mean we can’t be better this year , and with Josh as our QB , of course it’s not our last chance.  But you can’t argue we have a better shot this year as your entire argument , outside of us having a better record RIGHT NOW , is entirely theoretical and the guy who Beane thought would get us over that last hurdle of KC ( and Kelsey who we still don’t limit well ) is GONE and he WAS actually involved in the  game winning int earlier in the year. Let’s talk when we beat the jets, fins , bengals, and are playing KC in Buffalo in the afc championship game!  Then we can fully put 2021 behind us forever and just talk about our miracle season of 2022 when we actually won our first Lombardi!  That’s when your post will have some validity and be based on the facts of reality !  Go Bills. Happy holidays!

Yep.  Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley and John Brown did nothing here.  I can't believe Stefon Diggs is still on the team.

Not to Create an issue but you did see he qualified his statement saying Beane didn’t DRAFT wrs well Vs hiw he did with Free agents  which you just helped in proving his point.  I just started reading the thread , so don’t mean to pile on as I’m sure lots of cynical people were more than happy to get a shot at you ! Lol!

Jk as I have taken plenty of shots , the latest in the shout box I guess was perhaps directed at me, ( amazing how ballsy someone is at a keyboard esp never having met in real life) as apparently I made the “ mistake” of re- entering 3-4 hours after a Bills marginal win required a nap, lol, and I just said I hoped the vikes won against their opponent as it helped the bills , and I found out I supposedly was too critical , and  the prick in an allegorical story and “ had no life outside of the Bills “ !  I appreciated this thoughtful coward  teaching me how sad that persons childhood must have been as it didn’t even closely  apply to any real thing in my life and was from one who devotes many hours to this type of site I am hoping  as a hobby?  Haha!  That site has deteriorated dramatically in treating people civilly as fellow Bills fans over the years!

BTW,  I’ve always enjoyed your thoughts here. I did think this poster qualified things tho and if I misunderstood your post , please forgive me!   I do think our wr drafts have been pretty average so far , tho Davis / knox have been improving, shakir is a question, hodgkins

having some success elsewhere.  The FA acquisitions have been very good tho.

IMO, its been a somewhat weird  season as despite all the success record wise, I have found it less enjoyable as great guys like Hyde , poyer, white,Phillips, Morse,  now Miller have had some significant  injuries and missed time ,  and for me being a fan / follower entails enjoying quality of the players as well as team building, and looking ahead.    I would not enjoy mimicking the mercenary Rams with their sole Lombardi, which may be the last they sniff for many years as they just keep changing the lineup almost hourly! Waited this long, if not this year, maybe we get 99% healthy with our own guys next year.    Happy holidays btw!!🎄
I don’t see obj as a savior for this year , but might enjoy him if he actually planned on being here a few years as the one & done thing doesn’t remind me of the joy surrounding the run of the 90’s teams!😊🍸 That’s why millers injury is more bothersome as it not only hurts this year but a large part of next season , or possibly more given his age.

i had the flu a few years ago and it absolutely rocked me.  i felt wildly bad for about 4-5 days, but it took me another week just to feel better.  i have to image that most of these guys will play, but they may not be anywhere near 100% depending how bad they have it.

Depends on availability of tamiflu.  I have heard some areas are having shortages. I caught the flu seeing patients at an urgent care one day. Had seen about 50 people when I suddenly felt it hit me at 3 pm! Never felt something so sudden from a viral standpoint hit me. By the time I left to go home at 10 pm , I felt so sick I had a hard time driving five min home. Flu is not like any other virus, it really hits like a truck  Anyhow , my good friend was an ARNP and went to a 24 hour Cvs and got me tamiflu.  Supposedly the earlier you start it the better. I got two doses in and was back at work the following afternoon shift.

Just saying this cuz 1) I am a huge fan of tamiflu! And 2) if the Jets players have access to tamiflu , and influenza is what they actually have , I would say there is about a 99% chance these otherwise young , healthy guys will be playing Sunday.

Its  a shame there is no ACL-flu fix for Von!  Man , still breaks my heart this happened for him and for this team which has fought thru so much this year. It’s just why as a very, very long time Bills enjoyer , it’s so hard to ever just expect things to turn out good concerning this team. It’s why if you’re a long time fan you can’t trust the score until the clock is turned off cuz they can always call you back to the field because some penalty from the small print of the rule book occurred.
Its  the reason old time fans never bought into all the hype that “ this is the year we win the super bowl!”  Hey , I’m not saying we won’t or can’t still do it , bu is sure looks suddenly a lot harder than it did when the year began , doesn’t it!? Great roster talent , best coaching staff and stability for years , a true unicorn franchise QB who barely avoids a torn UL, and part of an all pro receiver tandem , finally a real running game developing ,  and a superstar edge rusher reminiscent of Bruce  joins us!

All this , ,,,,only to experience a season ending injury in the middle of travel related to 77 freaky inches of snow forcing an extra game on bad turf and 3 games in 12 days where the unlucky injury occurred  in the middle game  This is why an old guy like me feels like “:only the Bills”  could somehow have a guy say he’s playing the Jets this Sunday while on his twitch stream , to then being gone the remainder of the season after a simple clean up arthroscopy is done !  Yep , “Billsy “ is still a thing ; I just hope winning a Lombardi by beating the Cowboys finally becomes a Billsy thing!   We owe them and I was actually at the stadiums for  both losses and it would finally come full circle. Now that would be BILLSY! 😀

Yes, the cap hit will suck, but it's not like the Bills lost Nick Bosa or Matthew Judon.

He was playing at a Jerry Hughes level.  A great player, but on the downward slope of his career.

This is survivable and I don't think it hurts the Bills Superbowl chances much if at all.

Now excuse me while I pull my on flame resistant suit.

Pretty sure he was second in the league behind the cowboys parsons for pressures  ( I believe that as Espn glossed by so quickly discussing millers loss) That’s a huge loss as he made game changing plays in at least two of our wins. He did have the lasting effect on teaching technique to the young edge guys ( why aren’t they progressing before this with our staff) who are noticeably  improved , but none can replace his unique ability for big Plays at games critical times. No one has the closing ability Miller has and comparing him to Hughes is way off base.  His leadership and cool play at critical times will be missed and we didn’t even see him at a higher level of playoff caliber play yet.  This has been a terrible year with injuries and the Detroit field turf claims another.  The snow likely played some role with fatigue Showing up in the second game in 5 days

It’s a big blow also going forward as we are looking at possibly another White type situation with him likely missing most of next year, so it’s effectively a 2 year influencing injury. He also isn’t getting younger so who knows what he returns like?  Also has cap ramifications I would think and it’s  not like you can just grab another certain HoF, 2 SB winning edge guy!  This also affects free agency for this year ( pretty sure a certain player goes elsewhere):and I bet Mcd / Beane go edge hunting again, perhaps neglecting the o line or a true #2 receiver in next years offseason.

Not a huge surprise tho as we all saw the tibia slide  forward relative to the femur.  The heavily criticized internet Drs did indeed know their risk assessment given the mechanism of injury and how it looked. MRIs are vey often wrong early or miss  pathology because of swelling from the initial injury.

This is another hard test for Mcd , as this emotional blow comes right before two critical divisional games. White is playing better than Wilson did when we played and were beaten by their line and bad turnovers we mentally gave away, so not having those extra pressures from Von comes at an especially rough time!  The Jets know they have to have this game. If Mcd can squeeze out wins from the jets, fins, and Bengals , he is having a coach of the year campaign!  Here’s hoping they somehow hold the #1 seed as playing KC one more time there without Miller hardly seems fair.   Wishing  Miller a safe recovery and wondering if we finally might hit a critical breaking point with all these ridiculous amount of injuries ?   Hope his teaching is enough to get us thru to the next step!

What a sad thread. Yeah, what this offense needs a short guy who averages 7 ypc and tweets a million dumb things like an emo high school. Move on.

He ended his own career. He thinks he’s some deep thinker when he gets all information from random internet sites and Joe Rogan. And when you’re not good, no one wants to deal with you.

a hot chick in her 20s gets away with saying dumb stuff. Now when she’s 40, people aren’t going to put up with it as much.

Don’t want to say much about a player who is retired , yet there are several pages devoted to his “ return”:already posted here, and included was a discussion about certain rights ;  plus he is the subject of your post if I am reading that correctly.   Sorry if I’m wrong  😊  An analogy might be some people apparently are arguing over/ discussing a certain Supreme Court ruling involving similar rights involving one’s body.
Reading all the posts suggesting they would welcome Beas back , I wonder why a player would ever want , theoretically, to return to play in a community where he was cursed at ( sadly many names were used on these pages, not by you ) and insulted with name calling such as “ he thinks he is some deep thinker”?  I apologize if there is any similarity to real life as I mean no disrespect.
Just asking a simple question as most players seem to prefer going to where they are wanted, right? I mean he did play through a broken fibula in the playoffs, an admirable trait you would think might make him a fan favorite and he did help in Josh’s developement!
Booing probably doesn’t make one feel “ wanted” either,  but hey , I am no expert or pro athlete.  Tampa did CHOSE him , he just decided to retire later, so “ no one wanting to deal with him” is probably factually incorrect ; sorry to point that fact out.

Because you are not someone who gets random info and obviously stays on top of facts  that are not obtained from someone like Rogan as mentioned in your post,  might I just suggest to consider reading an experts published email after performing accepted research. Irs an official recommendation for all Florida Med professionals ( to all pharmacists, Drs for example) SENT FROM the Fl Surgeon General ( not a Rogan type or some random site 😊).  It’s not in medical jargon either!  Science evolves and the surgeon general is well recognized and published. His latest email from the Fl. dept of health , went out to all medical professionals on 12/2/22, so it’s current.  Google can prob find it if you’re interested.  Denmarks actions are interesting as well. Just some sources that seem professional , perhaps useful to those with families , and it’s just an example that sometimes things we thought we knew, perhaps changed as we have learned more.  ( not my personal opinions being offered,  just providing one example of a resource for educational purposes that are interesting, not random, not political,  that are on the internet  😊) Just wondered if it’s possible to view Beas in a different light as you stated he ruined / ended his own career ?
I agree with you about Beas , as much as I like him , prob can’t offer much two years past his best season with the Bills. Maybe Crowder will heal soon enough to come back and contribute!  Mckenzie is good but risky to depend on.  Who knows what they are doing with shakir?  Happy holidays!  🎄

Just said he would come back to Buffalo , maybe like Fitz, with tickets in the stands!  Personally , I liked Beas a lot and he made some clutch catches , played with a broken fibula inthe Afc championship game at KC  Not sure he still has the quickness , but he was a great clutch target for Josh  Hope he does whatever he choses and if qualifies based on talent , I would love to see him help Buffalo get a ring to flaunt in the faces of the many “ experts” who were so degrading to him !  Best of luck Cole ; may you , Phillips , Lawson  create the Buff City Recall and carry the Lombardi to prove everyone is deserving of a second chance , even a franchise and city who lost fath in each of you at one point!  That would be a SB of redemption and a new  EMPIRE STATE (  or dynasty) beginning this year!     😊😀🎄  GO BILLS!  Santa drop us some Cole, we’ve been bad in the slot !  Lol! 😀

I couldn't care less about these propeller head "advanced" stats.  Means nothing IMHO.  The only stat that matter is Wins and Losses. We're 8-3 and tied atop the AFC East.  We're doin' good. Its not rocket surgery.

Yep, didn’t Marv or someone say luck is Where preparation meets opportunity? So basically it’s just a round about watt of saying we are not preparing enough to take advantage of opportunities?  With no chance to practice and the crazy injuries , it’s probably more relistic to say we are not getting enough preparation or practice to take advantage of our opportunities.   Makes more sense than some. Newly created stat that may lack reproducibility or priot test of time.  I trust in marvisms over analytics. 😊😀
