  1. Like I said, you don't. You;ve been one of the better posters here for a long time and I don't mean to be rude either. This issue got under my skin. I'm out of the argument though haha
  2. On second thought. You all win. Even when a veteran announces his retirement and talks about what decisions led to this retirement and that he was thinking about it for months, he is lying. Even though there were no reports, quotes, or indications that he was asked to take a paycut or he was going to be cut, let's believe that. Kelsay sucked. He was a thief. I hate him. I'm glad he is gone. Ralph is cheap.
  3. I don't have a problem with just you directly. I have a problem with every single kelsay hater hinting that he was going to be cut (Including you SJBF, no offense). What evidence do you, SJBF, have that says kelsay was going to be cut, was told he was going to be cut, or the coaches hinted at? And what common sense is this based on? That he said he knew the decision to keep him was not entirely his? Here is what I am basing my opinion on. He was a 10 year veteran with injury issues with new coaches and a new scheme. Here are some quotes on why he made his decision to retire: Again I don't have anything personal against you and you have been one of my favorite posters on this forum. But this issue is getting under my skin.
  4. Here is the two scenarios. A) A 10 year veteran who has had injury/neck issues these past seasons wants to retire on his own terms when yet another coaching and scheme change is coming. (Kelsay has gone on record saying he left on his own terms and wanted to give the bills ample time to replace him. ) B) The new coaches told him he was going to be cut so he retired instead to save face. While all logic and evidence points to scenario A. Most of you are are set on scenario B being true. Even saying Kelsay not being offered a paycut increases scenario B being true. Guess what, this guy got paid a lot of money. Played a lot of games. Not only did he survive each coaching change, he usually came out a starter and a leader. While a lot of you have this idea that the team wanted him gone as much as you did, no evidence has EVER pointed towards that. I am not his biggest fan, but I am going to argue with all of the irrational haters in this guys retirement thread until it is no longer active because it is ridiculousness. I have no idea why the Kelsay hate has gotten under my skin all of a sudden but it has. Maybe because even when this guy came out and retired, most of you can't believe that and instead choose to believe in a fantasy scenario that didn't occur to back up your irrational hate
  5. I dont think he is bad. I think he is the true definition of an average quarterback. And no, I don't watch football
  6. Here's 140 pages of their fans wanting to commit suicide over this trade: http://www.chiefspla...ad.php?t=270464 I find it hilarious! What are they gonna do draft a LT to replace their franchise LT they are going to lose in free agency and have alex smith? So instead of keeping their LT and having 2 amazing draft picks. They may end up with drafting a "high risk rookie" and having alex smith. Seems very buffalo like! EDIT: I mean Alex smith! The guy who was terrible until he was in a perfect system on a great team (who could not wait to get rid of him whether by manning, a rookie, or by trading him). They guy who is almost 30 years old and has three 300 yard passing games in his career. I mean wow.
  7. Dude has never been used right
  8. I believe he did and then had concussion issues. I think
  9. Yeah! Said a few people at tbd and no one else
  10. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/02/28/kelsay-says-bills-didnt-ask-him-to-take-a-pay-cut/ Hmmm no surprises there. Unless you half the people in this thread
  11. I get what your saying. He just reminds me of Winfield based on size, speed, and ability to hit. Honey badger is explosive with the ball but only had a handful of picks, averaged more forces fumbles than picks. Either way, I like him haha
  12. When I watch his highlights it's of him being a fearless tackler. I think he only had a few picks his junior season
  13. So let's do something a little fun gang. I'm going to create a topic (every day or so) for each position until free agency. As a community we can rate how well off we feel the Bills are at the position. Then we can do this after free agency, and then we can do this after the draft. This way we can see where our holes really are at, what we need to address, and to see if the bills address these needs. Please be rational/honest with your voting. Also please post as well as vote, that way we can say I told you so in a few months! Current Situation Please feel free to correct me if you feel I have made a mistake here. This is based on what I believe would be the starters/backups if the season started today. Starter: Scott Chandler Depth: Lee Smith, Mike Caussin, Doris Dickerson, Derek Buttles Previous Polls (Please vote in these polls if you have not done so already, they are still open! No need to post in them but vote away): QB | RB | WR
  14. Anyone else find the notion of trading pick #34 for Alex smith really comical? Poor kc fans
  15. Man I want this guy looking at highlights. Could be the next winfield....or pacman....
  16. We chose to sign McGee over Greer. This wasn't because money was tied up to Kelsay. Blame McGee or the front office. Not kelsay
  17. I'm overpaid. When I go in to my boss's office for my next raise, I'm going to tell him "No thanks, I think I'm already making enough." Blaming Kelsay for that is foolish. Like I said, us paying Kelsay (who again was above average) never kept of from resigning people. When we let people go, it was personnel decisions. McGee over Greer. Not we can't keep greer as we gotta pay that kelsay! We didn't reward mediocre players. Or else the whole team would be be overpaid. Kelsay wasn't just a feel good soldier in the locker room. He was a consistent solid, defensive end who played his role each and every sunday. Can someone tell me who this good player was that we let go because we were paying kelsay? Badolbeelz? Ny33?
  18. I will never understand the hate for this guy. I'v been on this forum a very long time and the bashing of kelsay was some of the most ignorant and silly stuff I have read. Even in this topic, some of you can't believe that a 10 year veteran that has had some injury and health issues would retire on his on terms with a new coaching staff coming to town. No, you're sure he was nudged out. He was overpaid, but who cares. We were never at the cap and he never prevented us from signing anyone. He as a solid defensive end, on many terrible defenses and awful defensive lines. He was hard working and did his job well, he will have to be replaced. Thanks for the years!
  19. With polls you want to stay away from words like great or terrible as much as possible. I didn't want to make these like an "I agree" or "I disagree" polls either. They are a pain!!! Good > above average > average > etc.
  20. Nahhh ufa I believe
  21. yea you forgot our KICKER!
  22. Per bills text edit: we will use some of the topics haha! /self lock
  23. I don't think it will because people will all have different opinions of "how would you rate..." Should be taken. Some will base it on talent level or in a comparative sense. It will balance out! Plus they go hand in hand
