WRT the selection, it's not totally unexpected. New coaches want new things generally when talent is comparable between 2 "developing" young QB's. That new is TT. I use the term "developing" because both have little NFL starting experience and most everyone agrees there is room to grow. my sarcasm meter is a bit sticky this AM. so if I read this wrong - my apologies lighten up newbie. While you are correct creative thinking is always welcome. See example Actually newbie. I had posted it once that way. WGR has been wrong for decades. I fell for their reporting 20 something years ago and I won't do it again.

I will be patient and say 8 weeks. BUT the caveat is ONLY if he's playing moderate. If he really stinks up the joint then my vote changes to forget you stupid pledge! Manuel got the start, the first two drives, and then some subsequent time in the second half He looked as comfortable as he has since his rookie season. He is trusting what he’s seeing, and making some very good throws in the process. It was truly an outstanding performance for Manuel, regardless of who he went up against. Manuel has secured his spot on this roster, and proved to the coaching staff that maybe there still is something left. While the starting job is likely out of his grasp for the time being, he made himself a viable enough option down the stretch of the season if the Bills aren’t happy with their current state of quarterbacking. Manuel deserves all the credit in the world. He rose up to the occasion on two separate nights and proved he’s worthy of keeping around. see Mark Sanchez... oops

Ground and pound can only be done if opponents don't stack the box abd cover 5 - 10 yards down field. If you have a scrambling QB and or "the safe bet" dinking and dunking you will have a hard time achieving the goal. imo
