Tyrod's limited throwing arsenal
BillsFan-4-Ever replied to #34fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the point is that some of the TT fanbase is willing to allow him to make mistakes when they are/were unwilling to give the former (at the time) rookie starter little allowance in his learning curve. -

So another "good" week with an inexperienced QB with the Titans. Welcome to the NFL Marcus. or will MM upset TT? -

When he meets these expectations ping me and we can discuss how wrong I was or how you expected too much. I will gladly admit I am/was/will be wrong. its a WTF Monday with page refreshing today. Might be the work server. -
The "can Dan" Carpenter thread

Think back and ask yourself honestly, how many kicks just made it in last season across the league? Now subtract 2 feet on each side and you have to expect the % of missed kicks increase. Narrowed from 18 feet to 14 feet this season. The purpose here is to make teams go for 2 or go for broke. It adds excitement to the game. What was automatic before needs work now. -

Didn't look at the link, but I wouldn't doubt it if it happened. People have grown to expect this from him. He built the rep now he has to deal with it. -
Thank you, thank you, thank you KzooMike. All the craziness about Roman's next coaching gig, playoff watches, T-Mobile and the dozens of other nicknames being tossed about in the first few weeks is way to much over reactoin.

It could be worse. Good thing we are not the Dull fins. Talk about lack of effort. Philbin or the D coach to be fires per rumors I heard on the radio. explain the end of the 4th QTR 2 minute drill!!!! -
bump. I got a glimpse of TT's mouth guard. It has a charging Buffalo on it. I didn't see any glittering of any diamond on the TV.

Tyrod's limited throwing arsenal

WRT my comments, they have got nothing to do with "wanting another QB to play". I have been preaching caution for 4 weeks. Don't get carried away with praise and misleading stats. The only stat than matters is W & L's. The eye test showed a poor outing for the homer team. Where have I heard this before????? Lets hope the Bills get their collective chit together and eliminate the penalties this upcoming game. -

Very true. I'm supporting the TT movement. but I believe the overreaction is to how good TT actually is. We need a deep ball to soften up teams stacking the box. I have been saying this for years. 2 - 3 deep balls a game isn't going to cut it. -

W/O question? 4 whole games does not make a season. 2 good, one mediocre and arguable one poor game yesterday does not make a champion. hahahahahahahahahahaha you funny. so do the other players help him or hinder him. pick one please. The Giants were clearly the better team. -

shhhh , don't say those things. Stats only count when they favor your beloved player. I did. I added on to that post, made an edit. Funny thing is that the thread title "limited arsenal" is not mentioned in the post. (or did I miss that) I wasn't being contrary to the OP, I was in "piling it on" so to speak. There is a lot of blame to spread around. Where was the complete running game? The threat of T-Mobile and his feet? Yes, it is nice to see him step up into the pocket, but he needs to run if necessary. I will say it again, this is just like the RGII issue where you take the running QB and put him into a "pocket" passing game that is not his strong suit. another good one "he's on pace".. What is his pace after yesterdays game? Seriously, 3 & 4 games in and people are falling for the BS statistics. -

Is that one of this weeks excuses? Lack of arsenal? Take it as you will. Maybe just maybe some people put too much stock into this young QB. Are you loving the nicknames yet? T-Mobile? G-Ro? Are you loving the other scenarios yet? Romans next coaching job. Playoff scenarios? 2-2 is where I expected this team to be. So far I'm on track, but after yesterdays debacle, I am questioning my 10 win prediction/hope. -
We should see the true character of this team soon

we should see, IMO it will need to be another month or so to validate this. We will know much better after the Tenny, Cincy and Jax games. -
Tyrod Taylor- The Sitting a QB Approach
BillsFan-4-Ever replied to JPLoserman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
who knows, hard to say. Based on what I read, EJ said he wants to stay in Buffalo. Given that to be true, he might sign an extension over the 1 year option. Couldn't he ask for that $10 mil (+) guaranteed with a decent salary? Hate to see the Bills make a big mistake by jumping to the wrong conclusion. -

when it it brought up every week.... IMO it's a crusade. Why not give EJ a multi year contract with incentives WRT to becoming a starter where they can possibly renegotiate after a select number of games. If you are not sure you want him cut bate and move on. If you are comfortable then sign him for another few more years. -

That is why we need to see some verified figures and not speculate widely. WRT RGIII that ORG is f'd up. -

When will the never ending crusade to rid Buffalo of a #1 draft pick stop?? The initial signing of Matt Cassel at what $4.5 Million, would that have been cheaper or more expensive than an extension of EJ would be? that was meant as sarcasm Kelly. The point of the comment was to indicate IMO the iinaccuracy of what WEO posted. You draft QB's for a reason, the same reason for any player. You draft for the future and hope they pan out and become a great contributor to your team. No? RGIII & McCoy. Both drafted early, both have 14 to 20ish starts. -
