Sure, I live in VA, but I run into traffic like that where ever I drive; NY, Penn, the Carolina's, FLA, Texas etc etc Every state that I drive in people speed. anywhere from 40 to 60% of them speed the "unwritten" 10 mph over the posted speed limit. DYK that a cop can ticket you for going too slow? Its not posted YET they can. You do not need to drive in the passing lane unless ............ you are passing someone!!! if you are driving 55 next to someone driving 55 you are not passing. Why is it so hard to understand that?

I also followed alongside and behind an unmarked cop for 12 mines this morning. The posted speed limit 55 mph , both of us were cruising 65 to 70 mph (down a 1 mile hill). Did he pull me over? No, yet he had plenty of opportunity to do so. I will agree that slow uncaring, unaware idiot drivers are the problem.

I plan an hour drive for 45 mile commute where the average posted speed limit is 55. I can make it to work in 50 minutes on Mondays and Fridays, average 65 minutes mid week (and always leaving at the same time) so why should it take me an extra 30 to 45 minutes because some idiot is grooming themselves, reading and texting, and going 5 miles under the speed limit in the left 2 lanes?

some people drive for hours on end, who have to deal with idiots on the road, who only drive for for 5 minutes and are in no hurry to get where they are going.

I have ZERO driving accidents while SPEEDING and I've been at it for over 30 years. Rule # 1 - Always expect the worst from the idiot in front of you and occasionally behind you. Let the speeders pass or get off the road. my biggest pet peeve idiots driving slow because it just sprinkled and the road is wet! hell this AM some duesch (guy) was picking at a zit on his cheek and (a) when traffic started to move at the green light didn't move for 10 seconds and than drove 30 in a 55 shave at home, put your makeup on at home, pick your zits at home and don't make my 50 minute commute 75 minutes or more
