A rare time I disagree with you. I believe the Pegulas want to hire a coach for the long term. I believe they thought Rex would be their coach for many, many years. I think they were shocked at what they saw once he was there. I think they evaluated Rex beyond his record and looked at the general disorganization of the team, egged on by Whaleys narrative and decided to pull the cord early. Give them a coach who didn't field 10 players in OT and a generally well run team and I think they will stick for a while.

Well, that's what it means to me also, but if I am paid $20 million a year I will accept responsibility for Love Canal. WTF do I care? What does it change? When you hold someone accountable do you twist their arm behind her back until they say uncle? I can understand accountability coming from within someone, but when you hold someone else accountable what are the practical implications of that? It all comes across as fan speak to me.

This word gets thrown around an awful lot on sports forums. I've never had anyone actually define what they mean by it and I would not be shocked if the definition varied greatly from person to person. So what is your definition in holding a player who makes $20 million "accountable" and explain why that is meaningful in any way, shape or form?

FWIW, Kyle Shanahan had big problems with RGIII. The first signs of discontent with him came from Kyle publicly calling him out in the media. Kyle requires a quarterback that runs his system precisely without waiver. He would take one look at the game film where Tyrod misses wide open receivers and Tyrod would be gone in a New York second. With the experience of his father guiding him, there is no way Kyle would come to the Buffalo Bills. His father would advise otherwise.
