    FWIW, Marv used to make all coaches take a mini-“class” in winning football statistics from a guy named Bud Goode. They looked at things like turnovers and passing yards per play, etc... and how it affected win percentage. Bud was sort of a grandfather of football stats back in the day. Dickerson used to say it was one of the best things Marv ever did.
