TV anchor commits suicide after corrective eye surgery
SDS replied to SDS's topic in Off the Wall Archives
These are two awful, dreadful takes. Do you know what the world needs less of? People behind keyboards questioning other people's pain. But you both are probably right - her dry eyes were probably exactly equivalent to your experiences with contacts. Exactly. No difference. She must have been mentally ill. It's the only reasonable conclusion. -
TV anchor commits suicide after corrective eye surgery
SDS replied to SDS's topic in Off the Wall Archives
There are many people whose quality of life improvement is worth the risk to them. My guess is most people getting surgery though, is like the woman in the story. A person who doesn't like the inconvenience of contacts/glasses who wants to get a quick procedure done and grab the free toaster with the surgery. Those are the people who really need to think about what a failed surgery truly means and the consequences. -
When people ask me about this operation - this is the nightmare I refer to. The risks may indeed be "Rare". The question is if the quality of life improvement is worth that risk. https://people.com/tv/meteorologist-jessica-starr-suicide-family-speaks-out/

Behind the scene server maintenance will occur on 2/27. This will prepare us for future updates on the forum software. Although, this should be transparent to you, I’m hoping the work on 2/27 increases forum speed and overall user capacity.

I thought you meant unread. I have 20,066 unread emails. I have no idea how many total.

This guy hasn't logged in since 2/12. Is there anyone willing to add these dates to our calendar?

Football insurers continue to get out of the market...

1000 colleges and the NFL are not going to survive on Texas high school football. -

Outside a few southern states - the sport is losing ground. When school systems see rates go up with the high risk and less competition, school planners will look to save money. I live in one of the wealthiest counties in the country with overcrowded schools and one of our 12 high schools could not field a varsity team this year (1600 kids in the school). Football as we know it is a dead man walking. -

That’s a reasonable opinion. -

Made three measurements when I got home. 130/89, 121/86, 121/87 ive been eating better for almost a month and although I’m not avoiding salt on purpose, I’m definitely eating less as a by-product. Ate about 6 pieces of celery tonight.

That's like only 10%. Why not just supplement if you are concerned? A banana a day makes but a small dent.

I wish I was better at it. The hard part, in this case, is what to do to make it a habit. I haven't figured that out, but I haven't tried either. regarding celery, for me at least, I can be at 135ish/87ish and be at 120ish/80ish after a week of eating a stalk or two. I think if I had it once every couple weeks, I could maintain, but I would need to try and repeat to prove. I just forget. Or I buy it and don't wash it and cut it up. I have a monitor at home that I break out every once in awhile and I just cut some last night. I should try and do a daily check.

Bills hire Heath Farwell as ST coordinator
SDS replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So, in this list of "McBeane's" personnel hiring you included McDermott and Beane? ? Secondly, who uses the language the Bills "hired" Kelvin Benjamin? You complained about their hirings. That refers to coaches, not a handful of players they signed. -

Please provide the FULL list of personnel they hired from Carolina. -
In general, I haven't because historically I just put stuff like hypertension and weight gain out of my mind. I'm probably consuming less now that I am 3 weeks into an eating better, losing weight state of mind. Hoping to make lifestyle changes where I nail all my breakfast and lunch meals, decent dinners and then just have stuff I want Fri/Sat night. With regards to celery: https://health.clevelandclinic.org/celery-may-help-bring-your-high-blood-pressure-down/

Two things I can eat that bring down my BP are celery and watermelon. Celery will do it in modest amounts. I've only noticed it in watermelon during the summer when I eat a boatload of it. Celery can be magical though.
