  1. well, they did find a lot of their luggage, so if anyone uses a blade, that's not that bad...
  2. Let me guess, you probably think your employer "pays" 50% of your social security and medicare taxes right?
  3. Granted, I am an Apple shill - but, since I follow the company very closely I have noticed that normally hostile mac people are really taking notice - in particular, their Xserve line. We just bought 16 of them at work for our own "super computer". Plus, they have some storage solutions that are getting noticed: http://www.macworld.com/news/2005/01/27/stakes/index.php this from a writer from InfoWorld....
  4. drive down property values - that might not be the case in this story, but I don't want one in my neighborhood. I'll pass on the methadone clinic as well.
  5. "Earthlink and WebRoot Software have completed a quarterly spyware audit, documenting the current malware plague: Results from the report, which tracked the growth of spyware on consumer PCs since the report's inception on January 1, 2004, show the instances of system monitors rose 230 percent, while the instances of Trojans rose 114 percent from October 2004 to December 2004. Trojans, keystroke loggers and system monitors are capable of capturing keystrokes, online screenshots, and personally identifiable information like your social security number, bank account numbers, logins and passwords, or credit card numbers. 7. ??? You might make that case for Dell, but I fail to see how MS is driving competition and keeping prices of anything low.... Perhaps in those markets they where they give away stuff to drive out competitors, but certainly not in the office suite or system software market.
  8. I dunno.... do you really want to drink the JUICE in that kind of place?
  9. wow... that's surprising coming from you. I didn't see THAT coming....
  10. Looking for some good ideas for some good eats this weekend....
  11. you could see it during the game if it was painted on the front...
  12. This is pretty messed up: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml.../30/wgerm30.xml Under Germany's welfare reforms, any woman under 55 who has been out of work for more than a year can be forced to take an available job – including in the sex industry – or lose her unemployment benefit. Last month German unemployment rose for the 11th consecutive month to 4.5 million, taking the number out of work to its highest since reunification in 1990.
  13. If you are going to fantasize to that level of detail - why aren't there more chicks involved?
  14. that's true, but these last 10 or so are so arsty-fartsy that it makes me sick. I love the OLD NFL Films, because it was non-stop football with great commentary. Now, these SB films are more about the entire "experience" instead of the game.... Like I give a rat's ass that there were lobsters on the photographers cameras during the Pack/Pats game...
  15. if he did - I'd be getting Ralph's signing bonus money back!
  16. he is not listed on nfl.com on any team...
  17. I'm beginning to hate NFL Films and these productions. Minus commercials - these things are 25 minutes long and the recent ones (the last 10 years) contain about 5 minutes of actual football, broken down into 5 plays - each shown 10 times, all in slow-motion, and from different angles. The other 20 minutes are filled with crap shots of goofy fans, photographers, confetti, etc.... It's almost as if they are embarrassed about showing their actual product.
  18. "ass-kissing" seems to be common accusation thrown around here, why I'm not sure, but I can safely assure you that no one is kissing my ass in this thread. Charles Manson could have posted that and received the same, if not better response.... Anyhow, I cut my 1st post short because I had to hit the road... Although it was said with sarcasm, the idea of starting a blog is EXACTLY why I bought the blog software. I was hoping it would have become more popular though.... Johnny Coli and Millbank get rave reviews for their stuff, so people are reading. It is an ideal place to for any poster to call their own and to really quench their creative thurst. Maybe this spring some of our more knowledgeable posters will start some quality sports related blogs....
  19. perhaps you both are correct? Clearly you have your own fan club and that shouldn't be. But, you also need to ask yourself why you have this club. It may not be that your posts are any lamer than mine or anyone else's, but perhaps a fresh look at the frequency vs. relevancy of your posts may be helpful. You have to think that everyone reading a thread has an opinion on what is being said - in addition to having original opinions on all sorts of topics. The trick is to pick and choose which ones to post and which ones to pass on, while keeping in mind that no one wants to see any individual - you, me, ICE, SpikedLemonade, or whomever - dominate the conversation. My 2 cents....
  20. I've seen some hacked up english before, but geesh....
  21. perhaps you cached a bad page or your ISP has an error in their DNS database...
  22. meetings to discuss when they'll meet next.... sounds like a Dilbert cartoon.
  23. there is a pm waiting for you from many moons ago....
  24. Hanging in there. New job last summer, new baby, new server, lot's of grief. You must have missed our million dollar hand shake meeting!
