Because it is sooooo easy to find a great NFL head coach... They are just falling right out of the trees! Let's see, if we look at who the top coaches are - how many have been around since the *80's*...? You only need to fill 32 spots, yet there are guys doing those for 25+ years who are still hanging around. How many coaches get fired every single year? Is it because finding teh right one is so easy or because it is a bit more difficult than you suggest? Whom was the great coach that he SHOULD have hired? Oh, you probably don't have an answer to that one. The great ones are already employed.

What makes it hard to post after these beatings is that it is damn near impossible not to flame people for moronic statements. So, because Charlie Weiss is having success in COLLEGE - Tom Donahoe needs to be fired? Why not Pete Carroll? He's having a lot of success. He coached in the NFL. Why aren't you clamoring for him? Steve Spurrier? Bob Stoops? C'mon, be consistent. Who else is having COLLEGE success that should cause NFL GM's/Coaches to be fired? How in the world does one make that leap of logic?

I attempted to call WTEM 980 in WDC yesterday over this issue. Their beat reporter kept referring to the Redskins "-4 turnover ratio" and I was ready to pop a vein. Luckily, the lines were busy, but I have it on my list to write an email... BTW, their beat reporter is the same guy who went off on Ralph Wilson over revenue sharing a couple of months ago as discussed here on the wall.

Here is what *I* want out of posters: 1. Have a good time. If you're just a crotchety bastard who does nothing but complain - stop bringing everyone else down. 2. Post smart messages. It can be about the Bills or about something else, but make it interesting. I would rather read a smart conversation about hurricane formation over a dull, juvenile Bills post. BTW, "smart" isn't limited to pointy-headed smart. It also includes wit and charm. 3. Remember your audience and pay attention to group dynamics. If you adhere to these points - everything else falls into place.

So, is this post going to be a weekly thing? I'm bored with it already.
