  1. By what stretch of the imagination did you come up with that analysis?
  2. Dr. Z had a great article about this about 5 years ago. It was the reason he got out of broadcasting (at least that is what he claims). The article rang true to my ears, so I always stop to remember that these guys aren't flying by the seats of their pants. Someone is pulling the strings. I lay this one at the feet of ESPN more than the three knuckleheads.
  3. Time for a reality check here.... Those guys are TOLD what to discuss. They have someone chirping in the ear the whole time. Yes, the broadcast sucked, but it is the PRODUCER that should have his balls lopped off, not the guys in the booth. Now, I guess they could have tried to not lay it on so thick, but they are pawns in someone else's chess game...
  4. So, a guy goes into the hospital for a condition and does nothing else but see a bunch of doctors who say he is fine to play - he is a hero? Good grief - I guess I'm a hero 'cause I sit around for months at a time while all sorts of people tell I am healthy enough to work...
  5. No... Reed was "open" after the ball was in the air because the DB dropped coverage and ran towards the play. At the time the ball was still in KH's hand the DB was within 1 yard of Reed. I wathced it many times. Evans, Moulds, and the RB were within 5 and RP and JR went beyond. RP disappeared (it looked like a post pattern).
  6. Only Reed and Parrish went beyond the marker. Parrish may have been a decoy to draw the safeties away from the 1st down marker. That only leaves Reed, who was covered, as an option. KH should have thrown it downfield, but that play was botched from the time it left TC's lips... or in this case his ass.
  7. Well, you could put a lot of blame on them. 2 WR's and a RB were wihin 5 yards of the line - including Moulds...
  8. we had three receivers within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage....
  9. Someone had a stroke? I doubt that happened... To come back from a stroke and play in the NFL would be a heroic feat...
  10. You forgot a RB just dropping the ball to grab his pulled hamstring...
  11. Ok, that is TWICE I have responded to a thread only to get dry-boned because it got moved into the rolling chat thread...
  12. speculates this is his last year in Philly... $4.4M if you are in the market...
  13. As is the purpose of this post, go to that link and deselect the DST box.

  15. It wasn't a mirage - they did what they did against NFL also-rans. We were 9-7. We lost to good teams and beat bad teams. That isn't a mirage - it is reality.
  16. I was thinking he added a "3"?
  17. I need to come clean on this issue myself... About 3 years ago (maybe 4?), I once told someone that black people generally had darker skin than white people. Clearly, this was an insensitive remark based upon my own narrow experience of the world. I ask for your forgiveness...
  18. URL? Is that what your g/f calls it?
  19. Like Eric Flowers?
  20. So, according to you - the Bills will finish behind Miami, NYJ, Houston, SF, the NFC North... etc...
  21. However, we would be JUST as unhappy with Fox and Cowher as neither has brought home a championship to their cities.
  22. Marv Levy did it with ONE group of guys in a short window... ONE...
  23. Because it is sooooo easy to find a great NFL head coach... They are just falling right out of the trees! Let's see, if we look at who the top coaches are - how many have been around since the *80's*...? You only need to fill 32 spots, yet there are guys doing those for 25+ years who are still hanging around. How many coaches get fired every single year? Is it because finding teh right one is so easy or because it is a bit more difficult than you suggest? Whom was the great coach that he SHOULD have hired? Oh, you probably don't have an answer to that one. The great ones are already employed.
