    Looking over the roster and looking at who is responsible for stocking it (a man w/o GM experience who has been out of the league for 8 years) - that is likely scenario....

    Maybe Marv should base his hire upon who will put this pile of crap back together and put us back at the top of the division. I could care less about his comfort level. If he wanted to be comfortable and surrounded by friends he could have bought a condo in Palm Beach.

    you could just go back to 1997 when Bills fans everywhere booted him to the curb AFTER all those feats of heroism he performed. But I'm sure that happens to ALL the HOF coaches.

    Which is EXACTLY why this choice sucks. This isn't abut who is taking an 8-8 or 9-7 team to the next level - it is about piecing back together a broken organization and a furious fanbase. That is why this hire sucks.

    Shout! will be replaced with Dionne Warwick's "That's What Friends are for" after our weekly field goal. Also, every home game will be "Fuzzy Slipper Day" because the Bills want you to be comfortable. It's all about "comfort" and "coziness" at OBD. Friends just helping friends.

    and he deserves this "trust" because... errr... he has been a successful GM who knows how to pick head coaches? He may not hire a moron, but I'm sure he would hire a "buddy" from back home, regardless of what the situation calls for.

    well, that's a bit of an overreaction.... considering how badly your life sucks right now.

    When I said "courtesy", I didn't necessarily mean "free". The NFL, as a courtesy, offers it's employees the chance to attend the end of year party. It's a guaranteed ticket that no one else gets. If they choose not to attend, the tickets should be refused and IMO, should go to the participating teams' allotments.

    players are offered tickets as a courtesy by the NFL. If they are not going to use them, they should be turned in and added to the total for each team.

    we'll see... Real life events are the only way to gauge what it can handle. We have been up for 13 months straight (knock on wood) and that has taken us through a draft, an entire season, the firing of our GM, the quitting of our HC.... With that said, I expect this announcement to be bigger than anything we have faced to date.
