  1. I had this conversation this morning... glad to see my office is bugged. You have to beat the teams in your division if you want to reach the playoffs. If TB is the enemy than you need to address that situation. Now, I'm not sure the answer isn't more pressure from the front 4, but having guys that can cover can't hurt either.
  2. I guess it just doesn't seem like it fits half the time. When you can tell a new poster is an old poster by the emoticon they use - then there is a distinct pattern.
  3. actually, it is that emoticon that you use after every single post.
  4. technically yes, but I think most people give a little more lattitude in later round players than early round players. I have no idea what makes a guy a 5th rd talent rather than a 6th round talent, but earlier in the draft it seems to be more apparent.
  5. To be fair to Mel, he did say that if the Bills took Youboty 1st and McCargo 2nd - there would be no complaints. (much like the Kelsay/McGahee debate a few years ago).
  6. GG deserves the thanks here... (as well as those submitting questions).
  7. there is no one taken in the 6th round that has "eventual starter" written on him.
  8. the circle jerk is two doors down on the right.... The draft is about value - real or perceived. Drafting Tom Brady #1 overall is not smart when he can be had in the 6th round. It is all about opportunity cost.
  9. Ummmm.... have you read anything here? I'm pretty sure no one is actually complaining about the specific players that were chosen (at least Day 1 players), but where they were taken. Who is making the claim that these guys can't play football?
  10. I have to take the boy to swim class at 11:00am. PM me for my number... Thanks.
  11. is this ok, or should I snag another room for today?
  12. Psssst... he is no longer with the Bills.
  13. http://www.twobillsdrive.com/articles/read...icle=1146402992 Lots to chew on in here. Thanks for eveyone for submitting their questions. It saved Mr. Adams for having to answer my lame ones!
  14. and if you were the HC and looked at your secondary and then looked at your 30+ MLB, your star OL with the torn tendon, and the slow as crap other OL? And then you looked at you DL and saw empty spots where players have left and the remaining ones that generated little pass ruch and couldn't stop the run? and then you looked at an offense which was one of the WORST in Bills history? An inadequate OL, inadequate TEs, one decent receiver, one decent RB and marginal QBs? So, after looking at all that - I'm not so concerned about filling the safety position at all costs.
  15. I'll chose your post to jump in here... what chaffes me about this analysis is that we are NOT a team with 1 or 2 needs. We are a team with 11 or 12 needs. The Bills are a pisspoor team that has a long way to go before they start contending for a 4 team division, let alone a championship. We needed a shotgun in this draft, not a rifle. Locking in on one or two players was , IMO, a mistake. The opportunity cost was large in picking Whitner and McCargo. We need talent. Lots of it. On offense. On defense. Front lines, back lines, skill players and grunts. Whitner and McCargo may end up being great players, but we are in desperate need for a dozen guys with talent. We missed the opportunity to address many more of these needs than we did.
  16. I should close this thread solely on the lame ass subject line alone. I'm starting to pick up on this whole "LAMP" concept....
  17. I could dig up posts that are barely 9 months old that suggest you felt differently about this team a short time ago.
  18. I still owe you a PM.... but, when you are 5-11 and have missed the playoffs since President BJ was in office, there are more holes to plug than a Vivid video.
