  1. a lot of good stuff written that I won't repeat. I do want to say that I fully believe any "dampening" was a stadium-wide phenomenon. Abbott hardly had any traffic all morning... so it wasn't just us. It would probably be good to nudge people harder on bringing a dish to pass if possible. In the past there was always too much food, however, this year I think we could have used a bit more. You could almost say we had TOO many great items on the silent auction! It sort of spread out the bidders. Would some sort of background music set up be welcomed? We are also missing a signature ceremony... We need to burn something baby!!!! These are all just minor suggestions. I think it went great considering the weather. The old ladies at Danny's ticked me off (hello??? People walking around the room w/ name tags on - get the f- out!)
  2. Jack, Cindy, Lori, Jay, Ruth, the ticket girls, Hammer, and everyone else involved! We had another great weekend in Orchard Park. #7 was a little more subdued (this goes for the entire crowd) due to the weather and this being week #3, but it was still a great time. Other than a missing cooler, everything went off w/o a hitch (to my knowledge). Every year these guys and gals pull together a great party for all of us out of towners and I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for pulling it all together! Our tailgate weekend is by far my favorite weekend of the year and it was great to see everyone again. I would also like to thank everyone involved for the gifts that I received. For those not in attendance, I was given an elegant display piece in honor of 10 years of Bills football on the internet as well as a gift certificate. Thank you very much!
  3. You were there?
  4. Don't you have to hold a position for a certain length of time in order for it to be technically "changed"?
  5. I'd be tempted to change some picks, but I have a hard finding which ones need to be changed. And for the record, I fully realize I am going 0-16 next week for this post.
  6. In other news, JoeSixPack slinks back onto page 3.
  7. My face is wind-burned, my ear is clogged, my throat is killing me... Losman played amazingly in those conditions. The entire team took turns breaking down, including JP, but that wind seriously sucked.
  8. Jauron placed the blame for the 1st fumble on him, but the 2nd one was on Willis. JP needs to expect he has blindside protection, but it wasn't there.
  9. The fact that you could leave that drop-dead gorgeous wife of your at 5:00am in the morning is a testament to the power of beer...
  10. and snapped a few pictures with some members. He didn't have time to talk, but that was nice of him to pop in!!! The rest of the evening went pretty well and it was good to see everyone.
  11. Joe finally snapped. Not that we couldn't see it coming...
  12. My wife is a pharmacist and I have been to pharmacy conventions... Her sister was a rep for Merck and her husband is manager at Lilly. I'm well aware of this FEMALE dominated industry.
  13. why am I not surprised that you have been attracted to two fields that are dominated by women? Have you considered being a seamstress?
  14. yep, that would be me!
  15. Well done...
  16. nevermind.
  17. Wow! You're a pretty big fan of his!

  19. Whoa!!!!! Hey, now....
  20. No, 1st and 2nd rounders should have the POTENTIAL to be those players. You don't draft players that high with apriori knowledge that they will never be anything more than a #3 receiver and a return man. Where do you draw the line in your post? Kickers? Punters? ST gunners? Fullbacks? Nickel CBs? They are all important to a good team. A great punter certainly gets you field position. A great FB certainly adds yards to the running game. At what point do you say to yourself, "This is stupid, our 1st day picks should be on guys that play 40-50 plays a game and not 15."? What team is so stocked, that they don't need potential top talent at OL, DT, DE, LB, CB, RB, WR etc...?
  21. absolutely. We have him now, so let's get as much production out of him as we can. There is no reason to turn a dumb pick into a wasted one.
  22. yes, they can.
  23. In 6 years Dante Hall has scored 10 TD's and has caught 125 passes. He has been an exceptional returner during that time. Great value for a 5th ROUND PICK.
  24. If that is your opinion then you are entitled to it, but I cannot find a reasonable justification to EVER make a selection like that. The 2nd round is where you draft FULL-SIZED STARTERS. Players who play full time and have the possibility of becoming the anchors of your team. RP will NEVER be an anchor on this team. If he reaches his HIGHEST potential - he is at best a 2nd receiver. I can't imagine a team that is so stocked for the present and future that kick returner is on the top of their need list for the 2nd round. McGee is pretty special too, but we didn't spend a 2nd rounder on him.
