I'm fairly ignorant about IRC, surprise, and I'm wondering what the best solution is for getting a chat room that holds 100 people. I don't know if we should do something on a public network or can we host our own (w/o killing the server). Any ideas what is the best way to get from point a to b? Keep in mind not everyone is computer literate, so it would be nice to have a java based alternative to go with the regular chat clients.

FYI, Server has been provisioned and we are currently getting all the services configured and up and running. The Sabres stuff will get transferred 1st, since the playoffs are right around the corner... Hopefully by this weekend that will all be transferred.

For certain problems that recur, duplicate subjects, bad subject lines - I was able to make a quick macro to execute a series of events. That makes life a lot easier. Expect to see me pestering the group to write better subject lines and to search for duplicate topics (instead of merging - they will be closed).
