  1. Hammer has been very good to us over the years. While some may have their own deal - I encourage the TBD community to give back to the people who have been good to us... With that said, I just sent messages to the people I know who are going about your deal Hammer.
  2. my take on it is that was last year's deal and this year they are looking to improve it. Maybe the website hasn't been updated yet? Or maybe they don't want to put it in writing, or else someone will complain that 1:05 minutes after the game they want a full refund.
  3. Most cable, Dish, and FIOS customers will be getting the Red Zone channel this year too...
  4. The standard is offensive to a "reasonable person"... Sorry!
  5. there's probably a five hole joke in their somewhere...
  6. haha, no clothes line... My dryer is broken and FedEx delivered the part to the wrong house. Anyway, sometimes I dry my hockey jerseys out on the deck and I put my shower towel out their too (I play in a men's league). Damn, I'm WAY to soft to be drying with that piece of 100 grit.
  7. it's like a sheet of cardboard?
  8. not yet. whenever I bite the bullet and upgrade (a 10 hour process minimum) then we'll have something similar to SS.
  9. it could possibly be done for certain sites with a bit of coding. Of course it becomes a PIA when they change their URL structure, but maybe that's the price of doing business.
  10. to be honest, that will probably never come in the way you want it. RSS feeds are a way to syndicate your content. Well, if we just give everyone a way to bypass our site to go straight to someone else's - what's the purpose? Someone could make their own "TBD" and and never do anything, but setup an RSS feed parser.
  11. I could use some suggestions on what links you would like easy access to on the links page. Serious suggestions only, please don't waste my time checking this thread for the comedy hour...
  12. It still has a long way to go to include some stuff, but the basics are there. The "Links" link is not functional right now. http://www.twobillsdrive.com/mobile/ soon to be: http://m.twobillsdrive.com/
  13. it ok, I got it. It was just a config line or two in Apache...
  14. for the life of me I can't remember what version of mysql we were running. grrrr.... it might be a 5.0 vs. 5.1 issue.
  15. look at Jay's name in the pinned golfing thread.
  16. gotta get some sleep. Those black squares you see scattered around the site is some sort of character encoding issue that changed upon the OS install. I don't know the issue yet...
  17. Elkridge, as a whole, is an old community and quite frankly is a bit of an armpit along the old route 1 corridor. I am on the western tip of Elkridge away from that scene. Most people would think we are Ellicott City. I'm only 1 mile from both EC and Columbia. My area has the nice feel of EC w/o the price penalty of being officially in the zip code. Schools are funny in HC. Some are nice, some not so much, some have a great rep like Centennial HS, but have so much money that drugs are 1000x worse there. We love Rockburn Elementary and and Grace Episcopal Church childcare is outstanding. We are always under the threat of redistricting because MD, as a whole, is very transient, so the child density in any one area fluctuates quite a bit. Unemployment in the county has been about 2% or so, but may have climbed to 4-5% in recent months.
  18. did they wrap their cans of soda in tin foil?
  19. Nothing wrong with moving the chains. The problem is they aren't even doing that...
  20. yeah, people hate it here so much the price of real estate is through the roof.
  21. Don't believe what you hear about Columbia. Section 8 housing has all but ruined 9 of the 10 villages. The last village that opened, River Hill, experienced a tidal wave of flight from the other 9 that drove up housing prices through the roof. (Townhouses 1/2 the size for twice the price and people couldn't buy them fast enough). There are very few places in Columbia that I would put my family, plus you have to pay a separate Columbia property tax. If cost of living is an issue, then Columbia is not for you. They are getting a mega-Wegman's though. It's not a singles town either. Ellicott City is nice, as is my sliver of western Elkridge. It is very nicely located with easy access to major highways, Baltimore, and DC. Not too far from Annapolis either. I have friends in most of the major school systems.
  22. wow, you can probably develop your own kernal patches and everything!
  23. haha. They offered me $150 for both yesterday... I told them to go pound sand.
  24. Doug Flutie hit your car?
  25. Back in the 90's before I started TBD I was torn between two projects. I had an idea to start an online auction site or I could start a Bills site. I went with my gut and my passion and chose the Bills. The rest is history...
