  1. yeah, people hate it here so much the price of real estate is through the roof.
  2. Don't believe what you hear about Columbia. Section 8 housing has all but ruined 9 of the 10 villages. The last village that opened, River Hill, experienced a tidal wave of flight from the other 9 that drove up housing prices through the roof. (Townhouses 1/2 the size for twice the price and people couldn't buy them fast enough). There are very few places in Columbia that I would put my family, plus you have to pay a separate Columbia property tax. If cost of living is an issue, then Columbia is not for you. They are getting a mega-Wegman's though. It's not a singles town either. Ellicott City is nice, as is my sliver of western Elkridge. It is very nicely located with easy access to major highways, Baltimore, and DC. Not too far from Annapolis either. I have friends in most of the major school systems.
  3. wow, you can probably develop your own kernal patches and everything!
  4. haha. They offered me $150 for both yesterday... I told them to go pound sand.
  5. Doug Flutie hit your car?
  6. Back in the 90's before I started TBD I was torn between two projects. I had an idea to start an online auction site or I could start a Bills site. I went with my gut and my passion and chose the Bills. The rest is history...
  7. It's not reverse psychology. I have to believe in the bet for the opposite to come true. The more confident I am, the more likely it doesn't happen...
  8. How do I know this? Because I'm a gnat's ass away from laying some cash on the under 7 for wins... The moment I do that - the opposite is guaranteed to happen. I have never won a cash bet in my entire life.
  9. That's really weird. Beerball said the same thing...
  10. 7 wins vs. last year's much easier schedule. Regardless of if the Bills have improved or not, their schedule, on paper, is a lot harder than last year's.
  11. That's the Mega-Ultra-Fan package and it is another $200 rider on your existing agreement...
  12. I just canceled my ST subscription. They went down to $150, free Superfan, and free Showtime for 6 months, but I said no thanks. The Game Rewind demo was fabulous and I think it will work well for me. I'm looking into hooking my laptop up to my TV and see how that works, if not my computer displays are pretty nice anyway. I'll be picking up the Triple Play FIOS for my TV service, probably with a TiVo Series4 when they are released. Unlimited long distance, caller ID, and 25 Mbps internet, and HD DVR service... all for the same price as the inferior services I'm getting now. Major upgrade in all three areas!
  13. Question - does malpractice insurance come out before or after those quoted salaries? Here's a nice link from 3 years ago: http://www.allbusiness.com/north-america/u.../4102168-1.html $300,000 PER YEAR in malpractice premiums. Think about that. How much are medical student loans these days? $125,000? What kind of salary do you think the some of the smartest people in this country need to have in order to take on the debt, the insurance premiums, and the 12 years of school... So, if a doctor makes $450k, and writes a check for $300k and then tries to pay off $125k in loans... that doesn't leave to much now does it?
  14. How do know - did you turn around and ask him?
  15. so, what's your deal then? Had you done this forever and they grandfathered you in?
  16. Dude, you've been on the internet waaaaaay too long to believe anything like this received via email. "This is an article that should be sent to anyone important in your life." Right there is all you need to know that it is a fake...
  17. that's our Buffalo Bills! Drafting depth in the 1st three rounds for over a decade...
  18. the problem with the article is that he keeps referring to the final score/record. I don't think many people do that. However, I do think people take note when your starters get their clocks cleaned in their limited playing time.
  19. anyone who has questions about the time should call the NFL tech support line. The number is listed on that page somewhere.
  20. When I read you were in bed for 10 days, I figured this was your hail Mary attempt to get your kid into a Div I program.
  21. Y'all should pick up Teddy's children's book in his honor: My Senator and Me: A Dog's Eye View of Washington, D.C. http://www.amazon.com/My-Senator-Me-Dogs-W...n/dp/0439650771 Grade 1-5–Kennedy's introduction to the political process is clear, informative, and loaded with child appeal, in part due to the choice of narrator: his Portuguese Water Dog, Splash.
  22. In the meantime, why not head over to SabreSpace.com?
  23. Obviously, your knowledge of Title IX and the insanity that surrounds it is severely limited, so I will refrain from hurling insults. Here's a nice little summary from the NYT if you care to educate yourself: http://www.nytimes.com/2003/01/28/opinion/...h-title-ix.html This is Title IX reality... think about that quote for awhile. A law passed to address real or perceived gender discrimination in sports culminates in schools dropping programs financed by private individuals in order to meet some artificial quota. A law passed to expand opportunity results in less opportunity. Awesome. and I'm sure you are pounding on your congressmen to force equal numbers in engineering classes, dance classes, early child care, and art classes...
