    Bills signed CB Drayton Florence to a two-year, $6.6 million contract. He can make $700K more in incentives. Florence, 28, is going to another zone scheme after flopping in Jacksonville's. The Bills didn't overpay, though, and Florence will be protected as a slot corner between Terrence McGee and Leodis McKelvin. Florence has a history of getting roasted outside.

    The guy is the proverbial assclown with a gift of gab. You would think someone with his accomplishments would be sought after... but he is not. Because people who actually have followed what he has done and his role in that success - see him for what he is. A guy who lasted 7 years longer than he should have because he could talk his way out of an Al Qaeda prison camp.

    He got most of it right. Marty wanted the job and was turned down. That IS the story. Who turned him down is very important, but secondary.

    I don't have the answers to that question. What I do know is that it has been reported that someone who worked with him in SD wanted to hire him. If he was losing it on the sideline, why would a GM make the mistake of signing off on it? Unless they decided to throw Ralph under the bus on this one and Nix didn't want to say no to his friend.
