The race broke for Obama when McCain "suspended" his campaign and then proceeded to do and say a lot of damaging things. That's when he lost it. He got hammered for saying the "the fundamentals are good". That made him look old and out of touch. Either way, if the economy was good - McCain would have won. He wouldn't have made those late September errors and he would have naturally had greater support because of good economic times.

He would have never gotten elected if it didn't start just before the election. "It's the economy stupid"

Rove's analysis was much closer to reality than the others. How did he come across as stupid? The guy got GWB elected twice. Stupid he is not.

what is wrong with pointing out something that is better today than yesterday? Is that such a crime that someone consuming entertainment is enjoying a particular aspect of it?

The stadium is nice. The HD screens are nice. The game boards on the sidelines are nearly invisible. In in-game rituals are non existent, except maybe the "heeeeeap", and "gooooose", etc...

Nice stadium, but the atmosphere is pathetic. Do you realize that nothing really happens after a Ravens score? Other than 5 seconds of initial cheering, that's it - the crowd just goes silent. They tried to play a Redskin-esque fight song once, but no one knew the words. So, the crowd was loud for one 4th down play late in the game and semi-loud maybe 3 other plays. Couple that with no scoring ritual and what a lame atmosphere today was...

the problem I have with this (and all the other FO failure posts) is that no one knows under what constraints they are operating. They may not have been aggressive this year due to other forces at play, which may or may not be temporary. So, 1-15 may mean survival if they were told upfront that the unsettled labor issue would mean they would need to cool their heels for a year.

This observation started with his first game and has continued until today - regardless of who has played dline.

I rarely see a play that doesn't have PP over pursuing or standing in the wrong spot.
