  1. Your choice of words was fairly derogatory.
  2. Multiple reports have said he declined an extension.
  3. I'm not sure what the perceived benefit is here? 1st, it is sports, not Iran-Contra. 2nd, while interesting, the importance of who the Bills are talking to at any exact moment in time is debatable. In fact, you could say the fanbase extracts just as much entertainment from made up stories as they would from the truth. So, where is the need?
  4. he was the 1st choice after he was the 1st interview. Given that that passed on him, he clearly wasn't their 1st choice, unless you assume he said no to them.
  5. Everyone knows that ND is those most hated program in the country. Clearly, the NCAA wants to see them fail. It's amazing more diplomas aren't rescinded in this country.
  6. and this here is why I root against Notre Dame every chance I get... #allaboutthefanbase
  7. He reminded me of that player that Michael Oher crushed in The Blind Side.
  8. Is it just me or is "college" just one of those words you HAVE to get right?
  9. Junior tackle Jonathan Meldrum said the linemen have never had the hands-on approach of Marrone here at Syracuse. And when Marrone needs to be heard, Meldrum said, he makes sure everyone hears him clearly. ‘Coach Marrone is a very…I wouldn’t say intimidating man, but he has a great presence about him,’ Meldrum said. ‘When he’s around, he just grabs your attention. There’s no messing around. Whenever he talks, he grabs every part of you.’
  10. Former Saints and current 49ers center Jonathan Goodwin added: "(I'm) Happy for him. He's a great coach who's an extremely hard worker. I think he will do a great job in Buffalo just like he did at Syracuse."
  11. Head Coach Sean Payton: "a great leader" "a great teacher." "I think he's certainly someone the players will respond to, and I think he's ready..." "I think he'll do a great job. I really do. I know he had a handful of options this offseason with some of these pro teams. I'm excited to see him get this opportunity. He deserves it." Payton said he absolutely saw qualities in Marrone when he hired him in 2006 that would translate into Marrone becoming an NFL head coach at some point. Payton said it was only a matter of when.
  12. Former Saints offensive lineman Jon Stinchcomb: "...unbelievable coach." "Our paths crossed twice and I'm grateful for it... He is, in my opinion, the best position coach that I got to play for and got to be on a team with. He's just a very detail-oriented guy that's extremely driven and loves and respects the game of football. He was a huge influence on my career." "You put all of that together and you just think, 'What?' He's just a special coach, and I'm excited for him. I like him as a person,"
  13. This thread is for quotes around the league about Doug Marrone. No discussion - just a thread dedicated to information about Coach Marrone.
  14. Why is it so hard to for people to admit they don't know what they don't know? The guy has a rather pedestrian resume, yet he is only one of a 1/2 dozen coaches among a pool of 100's of coaches that has received MULTIPLE interviews. I would not have hired him based on his Wikipedia page. However, given the support he has received across the NFL - I obviously don't possess all the facts necessary to pass judgment on him. And I'm ok with that. I'm ok with not PRETENDING to know everything about everyone regarding every subject. For those of you unable to come to grips with your own limited knowledge base - you look foolish in your blustery, ignorant rants based upon a handful of facts.
  15. I'm not gonna dog Doug and I'm not saying this to be dismissive or disrespectful of him, but I would find it difficult to believe he was anything more than an advisor to Sean Payton those years. Just like Dan Henning was an advisor to Joe Gibbs.
  16. Please stop arguing this point. If any of our moderators starting posting false information to pull people's chains - that would be addressed.
  17. You forgot the ® Everyone needs a catch phrase... Look for a new line of clothing soon.
  18. I thought this one went smoothly...
  19. My illustrious archive for those who have missed my pearls of wisdom... haha http://audio.wben.com/search?q=sarama
  20. [This is an automated response] This subject matter is being currently being discussed or has already been discussed in a previous thread. Please consider using the "search" function before starting new topics. Thank you.
  21. Since a bunch of chatty Cathys can't stop pontificating about their choice of coach in every single thread, regardless of topic title - I had to close the previous one. This one is for updates only. Take your discussion of individual coaches elsewhere. Non-update related posts will be mass deleted.
  22. Sort of ridiculous to say when we showed no interest in Reid.
  23. I'm not sure. I only use the free one. Rock solid. Never crashes, never drops streams. Nice buffering. Picks up where you let off.
  24. Run, don't walk, away from that PoS app. The worst programmed, the worst designed interface ever constructed. It is terrible beyon belief. Get tunein and save yourself from wanting to drive off a bridge trying to deal with that PoS.
