‘With Dion Dawkins, Sean McDermott and White all receiving new deals this offseason, many fans are hoping Matt Milano is next. Beane ‘hopes’ that is the case but with COVID and future salary cap, the Bills GM couldn’t make any promises. “We love Matt Milano. He’s definitely in our plans,” said Beane. “We hope to keep him long term.”‘

‘It was an expected move as both players are veterans and did not have to clear waivers to sign back with Buffalo.’

‘In a surprising update, Buffalo sent rookie wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins to the injured reserve. The team says Hodgins is dealing with a shoulder injury. The rookie did wear a red non-contact jersey during some training camp practices back in mid August, but since then he had returned to his normal jersey.’

‘Fan favorite and former training camp darling Duke Williams cleared waivers and was placed on the Bills PS. Williams scored the game winning touchdown last season against the Titans.’

‘Right before White arrived in Orchard Park, the Bills watched as Stephon Gilmore not only left in free agency, but signed with the Patriots. The difference was Gilmore could not wait to leave and White loves it in Buffalo. Now the Bills can focus their attention on a player like linebacker Matt Milano who is scheduled to become a free agent at season’s end.

‘You could almost make Allen 1-5 on this list. His progress the past two seasons has helped turn the Bills into a playoff team. But Allen has to be better. Bills fans get defensive when anyone brings up the 300 yard passing games. It’s not about the number. It’s not as if Allen moving beyond this threshold will dictate his career arc. But it’s about Allen having the ability to carry the team with the passing game. Allen is the quarterback for a playoff team. That makes him important But on the Bills he is the key to them going from good to great.’
