‘Bills head coach Sean McDermott joined the “Extra Point Show” with Sal Capaccio and Joe DiBiase on Thursday and confirmed that center Mitch Morse (concussion) and defensive end Boogie Basham (calf) have been ruled out.’

‘With Morse being out for Saturday, the depth of the offensive line has been crucial for the Bills now with Ike Boettger returning after being on PUP list for all of the season up to this point. McDermott has been very impressed with his work ethic getting back on the field. “It’s good to have Ike who has worked his tail off to get back now given the green light, and we’ll see where it goes this week and the weeks moving ahead,” McDermott said.’

‘In addition to Morse, safety Jordan Poyer (knee) and defensive end Boogie Basham (calf) missed their second-straight day of practice, as well.’

‘The Bills usually go to the opposing team’s city the day prior to the game. However, the current forecast for Western New York on Friday calls for a winter storm with winds in excess of 35 miles-per-hour, as well as 5-to-8 inches of snow.’

‘In addition, a total of 12 other Bills players were voted in as alternates, including linebackers Matt Milano and Tremaine Edmunds, tackle Dion Dawkins and tight end Dawson Knox as first alternates.’

‘Center Mitch Morse and defensive end Boogie Basham, however, did not practice. Morse remains in the league’s concussion protocol while Basham is dealing with an ankle injury.’

‘Boettger became a stalwart on the offensive line last season playing at guard on the left side of the line next to Dion Dawkins. He appeared in 15 games for Buffalo, starting 10 of those games until his 2021 season was ended nearly a year ago when he suffered a torn Achilles against the New England Patriots on Dec. 26.’

‘With the win over their division rival and Saturday, paired with losses from both the New York Jets and New England Patriots on Sunday, the Bills have the chance to check off another one of their goals for the 2022 season this Saturday afternoon against the Chicago Bears: An AFC East title.’

‘Allen put the Bills in front in the first half, and later rallied them from behind in the decisive fourth quarter. It was vintage Allen, as he used his arm and legs to make a series of clutch plays.’

‘Kicker Tyler Bass connected on a game-winning 25-yard field goal in the final seconds, while quarterback Josh Allen threw for 304 yards and four touchdowns in the victory. Allen also added 77 yards rushing on 10 carries, including a 44-yard scamper to set up the game-tying touchdown.’

‘Miami had plays that went for 71 yards, 67 yards, and 32 yards. They had three more that went for at least 20 yards. Far too many huge plays. Three of these six went for touchdowns.’

‘Bills linebacker Matt Milano has been removed from the injury report and has no game designation. That means he should be ready to go when the two teams do battle on Saturday night at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park.’

‘There’s been a lot made lately about how the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Chargers shut down the Dolphins passing attack. Specifically, playing more press-man coverage, and disrupting their timing. Can the Bills use that blueprint? Will they need to?’

‘Bills general manager Brandon Beane told reporters on Wednesday prior to practice that it’s possible Beasley could play Saturday night when the Bills host the Miami Dolphins at Highmark Stadium.’
