Despite the lack of throwing plays, McDermott was quick to praise his wide receivers and believes they carried their own weight whenever the ball came their way.’

‘The Cowboys love to jump on teams early. They’re out-scoring their opponents by a whopping 258-125 in the first half. They want to score early, create a lead, and make their opponent one-dimensional, having to throw the ball to get back in the game. That will allow their pass rush to get going. The Bills can’t let Dallas get off to an early start on the scoreboard against them.’

‘Defensive end A.J. Epenesa, who suffered a rib injury in last Sunday’s 20-17 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, along with safety Micah Hyde, who suffered another neck/stinger injury in the contest, were unable to practice.’

‘It took three weeks and a very stout Kansas City defense to see some of the inconsistencies of the Bills offense appear again.’

Four times this season, the defense could not hold on to a fourth quarter lead, with three of those contests inside the final two minutes of regulation. All four games resulted in losses to the New York Jets, New England Patriots, Denver Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles.’
