‘We should be enjoying the Bills bye week right now, but we are not. Instead, we are talking about another game the Bills blew.’

‘Despite having a timeout to work with, the Bills ended up taking a knee to kill the remaining time on the clock and force overtime.’

‘”[It was] obviously a hard fought game. [The] game went back-and-forth. I thought our guys played hard,” said McDermott during his postgame press conference with the assembled media. “Had some opportunities to win it, and at the end of the day, they made more plays than we did.”‘

‘”I think effort was there, execution was there. Just got to make a couple more plays, and a couple we wished we had back,” Allen stated with the media during his postgame comments on Sunday.’

‘Once again, the defense had a chance to close out the game – twice! – and couldn’t do it.’

‘Looking at advanced stats like DVOA or EPA/play, the Bills’ defense would be a tale of two seasons. Dominant early in the year when everyone was healthy, and horrible once everyone was injured.’

‘The Bills have lost five games, and the common thread in all of them is turnovers. In each of those losses, the Bills offense turned the ball over at least twice. In two of those games they turned it over on their very first offensive snap.’

They’ve got a very talented football team.”‘

‘Johnson did not practice at all on Wednesday, so his limited status is an upgrade.’

‘In his meeting with the media before Wednesday’s practice, McDermott said safety Taylor Rapp would not participate with his neck injury, while cornerbacks Taron Johnson and Dane Jackson are in the league’s concussion protocol.’

‘Gilliam started Sunday’s game off with a bang when on the opening kickoff, he made a huge tackle on Jets kick returner Xavier Gipson, causing the ball to come lose. The fumble was then recovered by tight end Quintin Morris, giving the Bills the ball at the Jets’ 21-yard line.’

‘In his weekly Monday Zoom call with the local media, McDermott gave updates and several players were injured in Sunday’s 32-6 victory over the New York Jets.’

‘In Joe Brady’s debut as interim offensive coordinator, the Bills put 32 points up on the scoreboard against a terrific Jets defense, which got the better of the Bills offense in each of the last three matchups.’

For players that have dedicated roster spots for special teams roles, they have struggled mightily at times. They allowed a good kickoff return again, Sam Martin has been awful as of late, and the punt return team let the Jets get the better of them on a fake.’

‘Buffalo came out strong on the opening kickoff, as full back Reggie Gilliam laid a massive hit on returner Xavier Gipson, knocking the football loose. It was fellow tight end Quintin Morris falling on the football, giving the Bills a short field to work with at the Jets’ 21-yard line.’
