‘Klein made several big plays during the 11-on-11 portion of practice on Thursday outside the ADPRO Sports Training Center in Orchard Park.’

‘The Bills took linebacker Dorian Williams in the third round of this year’s draft. When he first got here, he was getting reps at middle linebacker, but he has since played and will stay outside. McDermott liked Williams first NFL action on Saturday, “I thought he was very physical, we have plenty to work on as does Dorian, but I thought he did a good job with playing fast and physical and you can build off of things like that.”’

‘Both Kaiir Elam and Christian Benford were on the field for about 30 snaps. The Bills said they wanted to get a long look at both of those players, but the limited action could also mean they’ve decided, at least for now, that Jackson is the best man for the job.’

‘The Bills got off to a quick start, intercepting Anthony Richardson, two plays later James Cook punches it in to give the Bills an early lead. Matt Barkley led the Bills going 13-14 for 156 yards, and two touchdowns reliving Kyle Allen who started the first half for the Bills. The Colts won the turnover battle only turning the ball over once.’

‘On Saturday, Barkley was close to perfect making some really nice throws that included two touchdowns. Overall the 32-year-old was 14-of-15 for 172 yards and the two scores.’

‘Hamlin finished the game with three tackles in his limited action and said while there wasn’t any trepidation, he was feeling a lot of emotions today. “I was feeling everything all at once, but i’ve been doing a good job of staying around right minded people, good mindset coaches in my life and good mentors as far as the team….pressure only lives inside of us, as long as you don’t let it portray your actions you can keep it under control.”’

‘“I thought there were some good things, we showed moments of our standard that we hold ourselves to, but not enough though. We have to be more consistent starting with penalties, more discipline on pre snap penalties because it hurts you.”’

‘Murray continued his strong training camp by collecting 39 total yards. The 33-year old looked fresh and fast.’

‘Unfortunately, Terrel Bernard has a hamstring injury and most likely won’t play. He’s been in a battle with Tyrel Dodson for the Bills’ starting middle linebacker spot. Now it will be up to Dodson to show he can handle being the man in the middle of the defense, including calling the defensive signals. Baylon Spector may see some time there, as well, especially with the injury to Bernard.’

‘”When I was in Carolina, we would go out to college too and stay in the dorms. It was cool, so I haven’t done that in the last three years. I really like that environment,” said Allen during his meeting with the media after Thursday’s practice.’
