Bills re-sign tight end Quintin Morris to one-year deal

‘Morris’ contract was set to expire, but since he only has two accrued NFL seasons, he was an Exclusive Rights Free Agent. That means the Bills only had to offer him a minimum salary for a third-year player to retain his rights.’

Opinion: 2024 State of the Bills: Cornerback

‘The Bills will reportedly restructure Douglas’ contract to save approximately $2.5 million against this year‘s salary cap. He will be 30 years old in August and under contract for one more season so it will be interesting to see exactly how that restructure looks.’

Bills bring back quarterback Mitchell Trubisky on two-year contract

‘Trubisky spent his 2021 season with the Bills serving as the backup to quarterback Josh Allen. In his limited action under center, Trubisky went 6-of-8 for 43 yards and an interception. He also ran the ball 13 times for 24 yards and a score.’

Bills release running back Nyheim Hines

‘Hines was acquired by the Bills just before the 2022 NFL Trade Deadline from the Indianapolis Colts for running back Zack Moss and a conditional sixth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.’

Bills release center Mitch Morse, wide receiver Deonte Harty

‘Morse started 126 games for the Bills over his five years with the team after signing as a free agent in 2019 from the Kansas City Chiefs. He had been under center for Buffalo in five of Josh Allen’s six seasons to date.’

Report: Bills re-sign safety Taylor Rapp to three-year contract

‘Rapp joined the Bills last offseason after spending the first four years of his career with the Los Angeles Rams. In 16 games played for Buffalo in 2023, the 26-year-old started four games at safety, registering 50 total tackles, two passes defended, 0.5 sacks and an interception.’

Bills release safety Jordan Poyer, defensive back Siran Neal

‘Poyer became a fan favorite during his seven seasons played with the Bills alongside longtime safety partner Micah Hyde.’

Report: Bills to release cornerback Tre’Davious White with post-June 1 designation

‘With the post-June 1 designation, the Bills can spread out his $10 million dead cap hit over two seasons, counting just over $6 million this year and just over $4 million next year.’

Report: Bills agree to contract restructures for Miller, Douglas

‘ESPN NFL insider Field Yates reports on Wednesday the Bills and edge rusher Von Miller have agreed to a renegotiated contract. Yates says the new restructured deal has a base value of $8.855 million in 2024, with the chance to make up to $20 million with incentives.’

Bills re-sign guard David Edwards to two-year contract

‘Wilson reports Edwards’ new contract with the Bills is worth $6 million that includes $2.95 million of guaranteed money.’

Report: Bills to bring back quarterback Mitchell Trubisky

‘As first reported by Tim Graham of The Athletic and Mike Garafolo from NFL Network, the Bills and Trubisky have agreed to terms on a deal that will see the former second overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft return to Buffalo.’

Report: Bills to release running back Nyheim Hines

‘As a kick returner, Hines returned 19 kicks in 2022 for the Bills for an average of 29.2 yards per-return. This included a game in Week 18 of the season against the New England Patriots, where he returned two kickoffs for touchdowns less than a week after safety Damar Hamlin nearly died on the field in a matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals.’

What Brandon Beane will be looking for if Bills need new starting safety

‘“I think instincts are really big at safety,” Beane told reporters Tuesday here at the annual NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. “If you’re telling me, ‘you can have an athletic guy that’s a 4.3 (in the forty yard dash), 4.4 safety but he doesn’t have instincts,’ I’ll take the 4.6 guy with instincts, ball skills, and a little less range.”’

Opinion: 2024 State of the Bills: Linebacker

‘Bernard enters year three as the unquestioned starter at the MIKE position, and is under contract for two more years, still on his rookie deal. It’s a great situation for the team to have him and Milano locked up for multiple years.’

Opinion: Capaccio: 2024 State of the Bills: Defensive tackle

‘The first thing that jumps out about this group is the sheer number of pending free agents. Of the seven players who ended the season on the roster in some capacity, only two are actually under contract for 2024.’
