‘That was better. The Buffalo Bills offense looked more like its usual self in Thursday night’s win over Tampa Bay, much to the delight of a fan base that had grown more concerned about its performances over the last three games.’

Bills defeat Buccaneers 24-18 on Thursday Night
‘The Buffalo Bills defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Highmark Stadium on the national stage. Bouncing back after last week’s loss in New England against the Patriots.’
McDermott praises offense for Thursday’s performance in win over Buccaneers
‘”It was [offensive coordinator Ken] Dorsey, the offensive staff, Josh [Allen], and the players on offense. They got into a good rhythm, and that what I’m used to seeing,” said McDermott following Thursday’s victory. “It was fun to watch.”‘
Allen: ‘Mentality-wise, we were in a good spot’
‘”Everything that we want is still in front of us,” said Allen during his postgame comments on Thursday. “You wish you were 8-0 at this point, you wish you were 7-1, you wish you were 6-2. The reality is that we’re 5-3, but we are going to continue to take it one game at a time, and we’ve got Sunday night next week against a really good [Cincinnati] Bengals team. We’ve got to be ready for them.”‘
Opinion: Arrow Up/Arrow Down: Buccaneers at Bills
‘Buffalo had a comfortable 14-point lead with less than three minutes left in the fourth quarter. Yet, the game still came down to one final Hail Mary pass.’
Three players out for Bills as they host Tampa Bay on Thursday
‘During his appearance on WGR on Wednesday, head coach Sean McDermott announced that tight ends Dawson Knox and Quintin Morris will not be available for the Bills on Thursday night due to injury. Knox underwent surgery to repair his wrist on Tuesday, while Morris is dealing with an ankle injury going back to the team’s Sunday night win over the New York Giants in Week 6. McDermott did not provide any sort of timetable for Knox’s return to the Buffalo lineup.’
McDermott prepared for changes in short week
‘”We have to play a better complimentary game like we did through the first four weeks,” said McDermott on Wednesday during his weekly appearance on the “Extra Point Show” on WGR. “I think we had 12 drives that started across the minus-40. That was due to getting off the field defensively and taking the ball away defensively, and helping our offense. Of late, we have faced ball-control offenses who aren’t willing to expose their quarterback, primarily the drop back game, and also expose the football. One of our strengths is taking the ball away and sacking the quarterback, so we’ve got to continue to figure out ways to get off the field and take the ball away, and feed our offense here:;
Opinion: Defensive injuries means more pressure on Bills offense
‘The defense may have injuries it cannot overcome to stay an elite unit. Matt Milano was the best player on that side of the football and his replacements have not come close to filling the void after three games.’
Opinion: Buccaneers at Bills: Sal’s keys, notes and stats
Von Miller, Ed Oliver limited for second-straight day
‘Prior to practice, Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Miller is “in a good spot,” indicating there have been no setbacks or concerns with his surgically repaired knee.’
Dawson Knox will have wrist surgery
‘For the season, Knox has 15 receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown.’
Opinion: Fooled around, found out
‘A postgame show caller on Sunday night suggested running more up-tempo, no-huddle type stuff earlier in the game, and I’m here for trying that. These past two games have seen the Bills’ offense seemingly jump-started by the urgency created by a more up-tempo pacing to the offense.’
Opinion: Bills grades: Week 7 at Patriots
‘Let’s go over how each element of Buffalo’s game performed, and spoiler alert: This one isn’t going to be pretty:’
Patriots shock Bills, who drop second divisional game this season
‘Despite taking a late lead with less than two minutes remaining in regulation, Buffalo’s defense allowed the New England Patriots to drive the field and grab a late win, 29-25, at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.’
McDermott: ‘We need to continue to find answers’ after falling to Patriots
‘It has been a very similar story for the Bills over the past three games. The offense can’t get off on the right foot, and the defense is tasked with trying to slow down the opposition.’
