‘Hats off to Shakir who is playing the best football of his very young career over the last five weeks and has become a key and reliable weapon for Allen in the passing game. On what turned into an 18 yard touchdown, I thought for sure Shakir was getting tackled for a short gain but somehow he kept his balance, broke free from Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and headed for the game sealing score. The Bills would have been facing third and about eight at Pittsburgh’s 16 yard line if not for Shakir’s outstanding effort. According to Next Gen Stats, Shakir had a 0.7% chance of scoring a touchdown on that play. He was +14 yards after catch over expected.’

‘The Buffalo Bills take down the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card round of the AFC Playoffs by a 31-17 score. Josh Allen lead the way for the Bills with four total touchdowns.’

‘The Bills kicker missed a short 27-yard field goal that would have put Buffalo up three scores late. He also had a 49-yarder blocked, and mis-hit the game’s opening kickoff, causing a squib-kick to the Steelers 9-yard line.’

‘The Bills should have an advantage with quarterback Josh Allen’s strong arm able to handle it. They shouldn’t have to scale back their game plan, whereas the Steelers may have to do that a bit with Mason Rudolph under center.’

‘In the 2022 playoffs, the Bills were 13.5-point favorites over a Miami Dolphins team that was starting Skylar Thompson under center. Due to multiple turnovers and a Miami defensive touchdown, a football game that should’ve never been close was very much in doubt in the second half.’
