‘Several back-ups will have to step up and play at a high level. The Chiefs will certainly know where those players are lined up on the field, and look to attack them.’

Opinion: Sneaky Joe: Don’t make us face another loss to the Chiefs
‘If the Bills can’t beat this Chiefs team in the playoffs, it’ll feel like they never will.’
Bills declare four players out for Sunday’s game against Chiefs
‘In addition, the team has listed linebacker Terrel Bernard, cornerback Rasul Douglas, cornerback Taron Johnson, and punter Sam Martin as questionable for the contest.’
McDermott, “this is our chance to show the NFL community what the Bills Mafia is all about”
‘”The number of times we’ve been there (Arrowhead Stadium) I think it’s been six out of the last seven games here and their crowd definitely makes a difference. I know our crowd. I know what they’ve done, what they’ve established, in our house and this is our chance to show the NFL community what the Bills Mafia is all about.”‘
Bills still have lengthy injury report on Thursday
‘Several key players remained out of action during Thursday’s practice, including linebackers Terrel Bernard and Baylon Spector, wide receiver Gabe Davis, safety Taylor Rapp, and cornerback Christian Benford.’
Bills start practice week missing six players due to injury
‘The Bills held a walk-through practice, as the team began preparations for their AFC Divisional Round playoff matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at Highmark Stadium. Wednesday’s injury report is an estimation of what would be a full practice.’
Bills will take it day-to-day with a number of injured players
‘One storyline to pay attention to will be the health of Bills linebacker Terell Bernard who was carted off with what was later reported as an ankle injury. On Bernard, McDermott said they are not sure yet what his week will look like and they will learn more tomorrow to see how he responds to his injury.’
Bills release running back Leonard Fournette from the practice squad
‘Fournette was signed by the Bills on October 31st and was able to make his debut in the Bills Week 16 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Fournette would also see action against the Miami Dolphins and totaled 12 rushing attempts for 40 yards.’
Opinion: Simon: Bills go out and take care of business
‘Hats off to Shakir who is playing the best football of his very young career over the last five weeks and has become a key and reliable weapon for Allen in the passing game. On what turned into an 18 yard touchdown, I thought for sure Shakir was getting tackled for a short gain but somehow he kept his balance, broke free from Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and headed for the game sealing score. The Bills would have been facing third and about eight at Pittsburgh’s 16 yard line if not for Shakir’s outstanding effort. According to Next Gen Stats, Shakir had a 0.7% chance of scoring a touchdown on that play. He was +14 yards after catch over expected.’
Bills best Steelers in the Wild Card and advance to the Divisional Round
‘The Buffalo Bills take down the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card round of the AFC Playoffs by a 31-17 score. Josh Allen lead the way for the Bills with four total touchdowns.’
McDermott: “Bill’s Mafia Showed Up”
‘“Bills Mafia showed up. I know that there wasn’t always clean seats to sit on, but it didn’t seem like it mattered to them. I applaud Bills Mafia for showing up the way that they did, and the fashion that they did.”’
Allen happy with depth contributions after the Bills pick up a number of injuries
‘“I wanna give a shoutout to AJ Klein, Dorian(Williams) and Kaiir(Elam) for stepping up in a game like this”, Bills quarterback Josh Allen said when asked about the injuries the Bills sustained. “ You know AJ was on his couch and so for him to come back and be forced to play and play such a big part, he was all over the field today. Kaiir stepped up, making a huge interception, you know we go down and get a touchdown. Those plays, you can’t script them any better.”’
Opinion: Capaccio: Arrow Up/Arrow Down: Steelers at Bills playoffs
‘The Bills kicker missed a short 27-yard field goal that would have put Buffalo up three scores late. He also had a 49-yarder blocked, and mis-hit the game’s opening kickoff, causing a squib-kick to the Steelers 9-yard line.’
Opinion: Steelers at Bills: Sal’s keys, notes and stats
‘The Bills should have an advantage with quarterback Josh Allen’s strong arm able to handle it. They shouldn’t have to scale back their game plan, whereas the Steelers may have to do that a bit with Mason Rudolph under center.’
Opinion: Just don’t screw this up
‘In the 2022 playoffs, the Bills were 13.5-point favorites over a Miami Dolphins team that was starting Skylar Thompson under center. Due to multiple turnovers and a Miami defensive touchdown, a football game that should’ve never been close was very much in doubt in the second half.’
