‘White is in the NFL’s concussion protocol as a result of the hit, while Gronkowski will miss the Patriots’ next game, next Monday night against the Miami Dolphins.’

Taylor has a patella contusion, is day-to-day
‘Taylor’s status for next Sunday will be determined later in the week, but McDermott added that “when healthy, Tyrod is our starter.”‘
McDermott says Tyrod is his starter
‘”I don’t know if hurt is the right way to describe. He was working out there and he got banged on the first play, but he stayed in the game and he was communicating with us, we were communicating with him, and he was communicating with our medical staff.”‘
Eric Wood says Gronkowski hit was “classless”
‘”Our defense did an incredible job getting stops in the redzone, forcing them to score 3 when they did have drives especially in the first half. They gave us a chance and if we could’ve capitalized a couple times, taken a lead, it would’ve been a whole different story.”‘
Gronkowski suspended one game for hit on White
‘White is in the NFL’s concussion protocol as a result of the late and flagrant hit. Gronkowski will miss the next Patriots matchup against the Miami Dolphins next Monday night, although ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports he is expected to appeal the suspension.’
Bills shut down by the Patriots, fall 23-3 at New Era Field
‘Nathan Peterman came in relief of Taylor with about 13 minutes to play in the game, and got the Bills into scoring position down 23-3. The Bills get to the Patriots’ one-yard line, trying to get their first touchdown of the game and draw the game closer with time running out. On the 4th and goal chance, Peterman’s pass to Zay Jones in the corner of the endzone was defended well by former Bills cornerback Stephon Gilmore, and the Bills turned the ball over on downs.’
Nothing new, it’s just a loss to the Patriots
‘It’s really a shame the Bills offense couldn’t do anything against a defense that had been giving up plays the past few weeks. This game was there for the taking and really would’ve helped in the race for the Wild Card.’
An expected Bills loss to the Pats can still be depressing
‘It could be watching this pathetic Bills passing game has taken too much of a toll. Games like these, and I include both Tyrod Taylor and Nathan Peterman in this, make you wonder if or when the Bills will ever get a real quarterback. You know, the kind of quarterback who can go out and beat the best teams in the NFL.’
Capaccio: Bills-Patriots: Arrow Up/Arrow Down
‘Last week in this space, I wrote that Taylor was “smart and efficient.” He was neither Sunday. On the opening drive of the game the Bills’ offense gained 66 yards and ate up almost half the quarter. Taylor threw for 35 yards on the drive before floating an easy interception to Pats’ LB Eric Lee. But after those 35 yards on the first series, he threw for 30 yards the rest of the game! (Taylor appeared to be injured on the first series and played most of the rest of the same, leaving just thirty seconds into the fourth quarter with a knee injury). As has been the case too often with Taylor, there were several throws he didn’t make that appeared to be available for good yardage. He finished 9-for-18 for 65 yards with the one interception and no touchdowns.’
Benjamin declared out for Sunday, McCoy misses practice but is expected to play
‘Running back LeSean McCoy missed practice Friday with knee soreness, but he’s expected to play and wasn’t even be listed on the team’s official injury report for the game, released Friday afternoon.’
Patriots have several key players banged up
‘For New England, although the final injury status for the game won’t come out until Friday afternoon, Brady is fully expected to play. This is the second week in a row he was held out of Wednesday’s session with his Achilles injury, as they try to give him an extra day to rest it.’
Injury updates on Benjamin, Glenn as Bills prepare for Patriots
‘Buffalo Bills wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin appeared to take a small step towards returning to the lineup Wednesday when he was seen off to the side of practice working with trainers and running ladder exercises.’
Gaines: ‘It’s a headache’ going against Brady
‘”He’s pretty much everything that you hear about and watch on TV,” Gaines said with Howard Simon and Jeremy White on WGR Tuesday morning. “He’s a great competitor, he knows the game inside and out, and he knows what you’re going to do before you do it. Everything you hear about is definitely true.’
Sean McDermott ready for his first matchup with New England
‘”Limited experience against Brady. I have a respect for what they’ve done, their entire team. In sports thats hard to do.”‘
Benjamin has a torn meniscus
‘No timetable was given for Benjamin’s return, but the Bills’ head coach still termed the wideout as “day-to-day” when asked about his recovery from a knee injured suffered eight days ago against the Los Angeles Chargers.’
