‘Well, that’s what he’s done so far so I don’t see why they would stray away from their plan. You look at guys like Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer and just the draft class that they brought in last year. I think, when you think about high-character people, you think that you’re sacrificing talent but in those cases, I think that they got the best of both worlds. If you want to build a great team, a sustainable team and definitely a team that hasn’t won in a long time like we did this year, that’s the type of people you have to bring in here, that love the work, that overachieve, and inspire others to be great as well.’

‘The Buffalo Bills announced this afternoon that they’ve signed nine players to reserves/futures contracts.’
Bills’ playoff run ends with 10-3 loss to Jaguars
‘Buffalo’s playoff drought ends, but still haven’t won in the postseason since the 1995 season.’
Capaccio: Bills-Jaguars: Arrow Up/Arrow Down
‘The Bills really hurt themselves with dropped passes. Multiple players were culpable. And they often came on critical plays that either took away what should have been a first down or would’ve put them in a much more advantageous position to get one when they really needed it.’
One and done for the Bills
‘Like the Bills, the Jaguars decided to do everything to stop the run and make the other team’s quarterback beat them. Sadly, the Bills were unsuccessful. McCoy gutted it out with 75 yards on 19 carries and added another 44 yards in the receiving game, but a Bills passing game that was the worst in the NFL during the season was awful once again.’
Fans were the story this week
‘Aside from one misguided local columnist who seemed to be making the point that enjoying the Bills being back in the playoffs must mean you don’t care about a flailing city school system nor the threat of nuclear war, my sense is that fans young and old dug into the accomplishment for what it was. An end to the embarrassment of carrying around the longest postseason appearance drought in sports.’
Despite loss to end season, Bills’ fans show up at airport to welcome their team home
‘Despite the season coming to a close after a tough loss in Jacksonville, many Buffalo Bills’ fans still showed up to greet their team at the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport Sunday night, just like they did one week ago after the team qualified for the pkaoffs for the first time in eighteen years.’
Bills/Jaguars preview: notes and stats
‘Sean McDermott is 2nd head coach in franchise history to take team to postseason in 1st full season (Wade Phillips in 1998).’
LeSean McCoy listed as questionable for Sunday
‘The only player ruled out already for the Bills is cornerback Shareece Wright, who is dealing with a concussion.’
McDermott on Jags defense: ‘They’re loaded’
‘“I got a letter this week from a first grade class wishing us luck. It’s truly been unbelievable to see the support for this team throughout the community.”’
Hyde named 2nd Team All-Pro
‘Hyde finished the regualr season with a terrific stat line showing his versatility…’.
McCoy will ‘do some things’ at practice Friday
‘“I just want to be able to cut well enough where I don’t have a lot of pain when I’m cutting. I just want to be close, or the best, as far as 100-percent as I can get. But the type of game like this, man, you’ve got to lay it all on the line….If I can’t get 100-percent, as long as I’m out there and I can run effective enough, I’ll do it. So we’ll just see.”’
Thank you Bills (and Bengals)
‘While many Bills fans have said they cried when the Bengals won and the drought officially ended at 17 seasons, I wasn’t emotional at all. For me it didn’t happen until I started seeing videos of celebrations from Bills fans across the country. The first one I saw was from fans watching the end of the Bengals-Ravens game in a concourse at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Since the Bills game ended first, they had stayed to watch the outcome and learn the Bills fate. They exploded when Boyd ran into the end zone. I couldn’t help but get choked up because that was the moment I realized what Bills fans everywhere were feeling. This wasn’t just an amazing moment for Western New York.’
Former LSU teammates Tre’Davious White and Leonard Fournette have a “brotherhood for life”
‘“We’re real cool,” White said of his fellow rookie. “He was my teammate for three years. The LSU thing goes deeper than football, it’s a brotherhood for life.”’
Bills safety Poyer named AFC Defensive Player of the Month
‘According to the Bills, it’s the first time in National Football League history a safety tandem have each earned Defensive Players of the Month honors in the same season. Poyer’s position-mate Micah Hyde won the award back in October.’
