‘Buffalo brings in a few players that will have the potential to fill in some holes on the roster when the season starts in September.’

Jalen Ramsey takes a shot at Josh Allen
‘The Buffalo Bills play the Jacksonville Jaguars at home on November 25th. That’s Week 12 of the season, so it’s very possible Josh Allen is the starting quarterback by that point. Ramsey has added at least a little fuel to the fire for that game.’
Dates and times for the Bills preseason announced
‘The Bills host the Bengals in the third week in, what will be, a nationally televised game on FOX. That could give Bills fans a chance to thank Andy Dalton in person for his heroics in Week 17 of last season when his late touchdown pass to Tyler Boyd sent the Bills to the playoffs for the first time in 18 years.’
Bills sign four of their draft picks ahead of rookie minicamp
‘McCloud III was drafted in the sixth round with a specialty in the return game and versatility who scored 9 total touchdowns in his three seasons at Clemson. Proehl, drafted in the seventh round, totaled 1,265 yards in his four seasons at North Carolina, including 597 yards in his junior year.’
Capaccio: An in-depth look at the Bills current and future salary cap situation
‘The Bills currently list 78 players on their active roster. That counts each of the team’s eight draft picks, even though none are actually signed to contracts yet. However, that number does not reflect any undrafted free agents. Those should be announced by the club within the next 48 hours, prior to rookie minicamp starting on Friday. Up to 12 UDFAs can be added to get the roster to 90 players, the maximum allowed through the offseason and to bring to training camp.’
Report: Free agent RB/KR Kenjon Barner visiting Bills
‘The Bills are currently carrying six running backs on their roster as they head to rookie minicamp this week and OTAs soon after. LeSean McCoy is the unquestioned starter with Chris Ivory, Marcus Murphy, Travaris Cadet, Taiwan Jones, and Aaron Green behind him.’
Teller calls Edmunds ‘one of the best players I’ve ever played against’
‘“The man [the Bills] are getting is an absolute stud,” Teller told the media shortly after being selected in the fifth round. “He’s one of the best players I’ve ever played against. I remember when I was a sophomore, or I might’ve been a junior, and he just got into college, usually you give the younger guys a ‘Welcome to Varsity’ moment and you go and hit him. He came out with his long arms and lanky body and smoked me, and I remember he put his head right in my chest and I was like, ‘what? Who is this kid?’ He deserves everything he’s getting. He’s a great man, a great player and I’m excited to see him out there.”’
Daboll had a “specific plan” for Josh Allen if the Bills drafted him
‘“It was very important,” Beane said right after selecting Allen when asked how involved the discussions were with Daboll and what he could do with Allen’s skillset. “Brian and (QB coach) David Culley, Sean (McDermott), the Pegulas and everybody, we visited all these guys that we considered drafting and Brian, we had him go through with each of the quarterbacks: how will you use him? What would you do differently if we get this guy? That’s the great thing about Brian…..Brian had a specific plan for Josh, once we selected him, and he’s very excited to work with him. So is Coach Culley.”’
Report: Bills expected to hire Dan Morgan to front office position
‘Morgan has familiarity with Bills’ general manager Brandon Beane. He was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the first round in 2001 out of Miami (FL) while Beane was working in the team’s football operations department. Morgan played in Carolina for the next seven seasons before being released and retiring prior to the 2008 season.’
Capaccio: What to expect from each of the Bills’ 2018 draft picks
‘I don’t expect him to be the opening day starter in Baltimore, but I certainly wouldn’t discount it and think somehow, someway, at some point, he starts in 2018.’
Bills’ offseason has sent clear message: Team needs to be better in the middle of the defense
‘“The game really starts up front,” McDermott said. “Philosophically for us on both sides of the ball. Down the middle in particular you want to be strong and powerful. In particular more than strong, so power is important. You saw some of our issues last year in the run game on defense, so that has been a major emphasis on defense this year as well. Some of that was just gap assignment rather than power and what-not.”’
Russ Brandon resigns as president of Bills, Sabres, and PSE
‘Brandon joined the Bills organization in 1997, he was also the team’s general manager in 2009. Brandon was named CEO of the Bills in 2010 and became president of the Sabres in 2015.’
Capaccio: For 2nd year in a row, versatility defines Bills’ draft class
‘“It just fell that way,” Beane said about the versatility of the draft class. “We really, I mean, truly, we’re looking for good football players that fit what we do. Our DNA is really what we were targeting. It just, sometimes it falls where they’re more one-hole players but you like versatility when it happens.”’
McDermott: We want to make it hard to make our roster
‘A great example was last night [with] Harrison [Phillips] and Andre Reed and what Fred Jackson did. That’s the type of culture we’re trying to build here with their gesture with Pancho Billa. That’s the type of culture we’re trying to build. The work continues, and it’s going to continue to be an urgent, team-first approach.’
Bills go with a corner in the 4th round
‘Johnson figures to play nickel corner with the Bills. He’s a good fit for a zone coverage scheme, which Sean McDermott and Leslie Frazier use a lot of. His quick feet allows him to stick with slot receivers over the middle. His weaknesses include his size, which should prevent him from being an outside cornerback in the NFL. Johnson’s tackling will also be something the Bills look to improve in his game.’
